I completely agree with this, I have rediscovered lots of old games thanks to Vorpx, it takes some tweaking but these are games never meant to be played in VR so that’s normal, so i’m really grateful for Vorpx. Native VR demos are cool but last so much and full games are almost non-existant, if it wasn’t for Vorpx my DK2 would probably be getting dust somewhere.
I can’t wait for the next update to add some more games and that we may finally get a list of compatible games with what kind of compatibility (z3d, geometry) it has, it’s surprising how much effort goes into making games compatible but the lack of info on supported games.
moarveerParticipantAFAIK I read on reddit that the current beta support should work at least for all the betas and 1.x versions
moarveerParticipantThis is fantastic news, thanks for sharing!
moarveerParticipantSorry has Ralf released any kind of info regarding the games included in the next release? I haven’t seen anything.
moarveerParticipantThis is really interesting, I’m busy with Assetto Corsa right now but I’ll give it a try, thanks for reporting!
moarveerParticipantWeird since Dishonored is almost perfect in geometry mode (other than water effects iirc), sadly I can’t get it to work at good fps so I skipped it, but the game looks incredible with Vorpx.
In 3d vision, Helix mods allow you to “hunt” problematic shaders and fix them if you know how, or simply disable them. I wish we had something like this.
moarveerParticipantThis is currently on the top of my wish list for Vorpx, pls Ralf make it work!
moarveerParticipantFor me the best currently are Bioshock 1 and 2, and Dear Esther. This work almost as good as any native VR app in terms of pressence. I’ve had some success with others like Metro 2033, System Shock 2, Stanley Parable, Aliens Colonial Marines, but they cannot beat those mentioned.
moarveerParticipantI would kill for Vorpx allowing to hook any game in geometry 3d ala Tridef/3d vision, just give a big huge warning about it being unsopported etc. , and hopefully we can tweak it to make it work. Let us do the dirty work to test and tweak games and so increase the supported game list.

I’m getting awful performance in geometry mode even for several years old games with a 7970. This is actually my biggest problem with Vorpx, since even though I’ve been able to properly configure many games, most of them are unplayable.
moarveerParticipantNothing special, I installed as suggested and booted from Steam, and Vorpx hooked it.
moarveerParticipantI haven’t tried Bioshock 2 with DK2 but it worked great with DK1 so I suppose it runs really well. It also has a profile for it in Vorpx config.
I didn’t have any problems getting Vorpx config menu ingame, so that’s new to me sorry.
Afaik fame profiles are specific configurations for those games that config them automatically, so you don’t have to tweak them in the Vorpx menu, those games that aren’t there will have to be tweaked manually, at least that’s how I understand it.
I don’t have any issues with vertical distortion, is VSYNC on in the config?
moarveerParticipantYeah me too!
moarveerParticipantHave you tried to change the FOV options in the Vorpx menu (DEL button)? Also make sure you’re running at 1080p.
moarveerParticipantRemember to also click the middle mouse button when you open the Vorpx options with DEL. That will start the edge peek mode and zoom out the screen, allowing you to config things more easily and look around the in game screen for things in the corners.
