RJK_ParticipantYou could try the following (dont know if it works),
lay down, put on headset, look at the ceiling, press “reset seated position” with your controller in SteamVR and see what happens.

RJK_ParticipantIf the magnifier goes on and off your magnifier hotkey setting is probably using a key that you press during game play. you can re configure the magnifier key to any other key on your keyboard, therefore go to the VorpX config app and under In-Game Key Bindings check which key is assigned to “Magnifier”. Re-assigning it to a key that your game does not use should solve this.
RJK_ParticipantThanks Ralf for answering, you mentioned that before. I wasnt intended to write a report for non supportes games, i just thought i mention that because the way Chaos Theory crashed was suspicious to me. ( When the game seemed to switch around beetween windowed and Fullscreen ). In understand your concerns and i apologize for anything i might have raised here. In the future i will proceed as you have suggested.
RJK_ParticipantThe log should be in C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp
@Ralf i hope i am not raising too much confusion. The error of this discussion is probably something else then i have reported.
RJK_ParticipantHello guys,
Are those games are crashing or does vorpx just not hook ?
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is using the same Engine as Chaos Theory. Please check your VorpX.log if you find any errors like i have reported here, please report them. I am in fear that may me even more games then we know could be affected by the same errors .
RJK_ParticipantSplinter Cell 2: Pandora Tomorrow (DGVoodo02) – G3D
– DGVoodoo2 required
– use widescreen patch for higher res. then 1600×1200 https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#scpt
– change (if using widescreen patch) SplinterCellPandoraTomorrow.WidescreenFix.ini to your desired value
– also change SplinterCell2.ini and SplinterCell2User.ini, make all 3 files write protect after youre done
– Profile is optimized for Immersive Screen and Cinema Mode.
– start SplinterCell2.exe game via gamefolder/offline/system
– deleting pandora.exe and pandora-tomorrow.exe in main folder will prevent from switching screens and confusing vorpX.
– Profile is optimized for Immersive Screen and Cinema Mode.
– Profile availiable from the cloudNotes: Some Backgrounds are 2D only.
Aug 12, 2018 at 1:24pm in reply to: What specs would I need to run Fallout 3 and new vegas with Vorpx? #174704
RJK_ParticipantHello, i only can guess around a bit.
With that laptop you have a GTX1060, SSD , fast i7 that should do the job (at least in theory). I personally would not buy a laptop for gaming because i always experienced a lack of speed in one or another way with any laptop i owned before. (i might be wrong in this particular case). What the 1060 is concerned , you may as well choose one with a 970 which should be cheaper but not very much difference in speed, a slightly older i7 6700 should do a great job also. If you want it faster, rather buy a 1080 then a 1060. Make shure the board that is used is sufficient enough for the highspeed ram ect. I noticed that your add doesnt mention details of the board. – I also would keep in mind that if you buy a desktop PC, you always can update parts in case you need to go even faster which is not possible with a regular laptop. Hope some other guys who own one can help you more.
(Just my thoughts)
RJK_ParticipantThe image in the headset looks flawless. Taking Screenshots in cinema mode dont make sense anyhow, and if, turning off the room theme will help.
RJK_ParticipantSplinter Cell (DGVoodoo2) – G3D
– DGVoodoo2 required
– For higher rexolutions change
WindowedViewportX= XXXX
WindowedViewportY= YYYY
in SplinterCell.ini
and Resolution=XXXXxYYYY in SplinterCellUser.ini– change FOV in SplinterCellUser.ini under:
[Engine.PlayerController]
DesiredFOV=110.0
DefaultFOV=110.0
– Profile is optimized for Immersive Screen and Cinema Mode. Game plays also well in FULL VR, but HUD has more depth in the other modes.
– Use mono for certain elements like door codes
– Skip Into videos if game crashes (Esc)
– If SplinterCellUser.ini refuses to keep your custom res., write protect it.

RJK_ParticipantDungeon Siege 2 Profile availiable from the cloud
RJK_ParticipantThanks ive updated the list.
Dungeon Siege 2 (G3D)
-Change DungeonSiege2.ini to:
x = 0
y = 0
width = XXXX
height = YYYY
bpp = 32-make shortcut to game :
“C:\path_to_game\DungeonSiege2.exe” fullscreen=false width=XXXX height=YYYY– XXXX and YYYY MUST match in ini and shortcut !!
– you can enter anything above 800×600, i used 1600×1200, but game only plays in the same low resolution. Though the game doesnt look too bad with that low res. 3D looks good !
-Dont mess with ingame Shader Settings
– Start game, after first or second video (the one with the mountains) VorpX goes OFF and game shows a resoultion warning on your desktop. Just Press enter to continue. VorpX will come back on.Notes: Because mouse cursor does not work in full screen mode with vorpX the game need to be run windowed. Sadly it runs only in a very low resulution.
RJK_ParticipantThanks for the feedback, dont own f.e.a.r 2. Maybe someone else can check for G3D.
RJK_ParticipantHelldorado (G3D)
This game (Trinigy/Vision engine) is very different to most other games, it has two modes, tactical and 3rd Person. The only way to use this together was to lower 3D strengh in result that tactical mode appears a bit flat. If you want to have more depth in this mode, gain 3D strength and use stereo ON/OFF together with 3rd Person Button. 3rd Person will then be in Mono while using it.
– Cinema or immersive screen highly recommended.
– Profile availiable from the cloud
RJK_ParticipantCan you tell us which Nvidia Settings in detail that you changed with Nvidia Inspector had impact on VorpX ?
