Yeah I just found out that its Directx12 Only. ust played a few minutes and must say its awesome. I really don’t want to play it 2d though and will wait until VorpX supports Directx-12. I have too many games to play anyways. Thanks

I thought that Oculus at least settled on a focus point of 2 Meters. Hopefully in the future we can get a variable focus HMD like what was demoed at OC6 (half-dome), but only time will tell as that will add lots of moving parts and such cost.

You should upload an online profile.

Not sure why it wasn’t working for me the other day, but I have it working fine now with a little AHK script that changes the windows desktop to 2560×1920 resolution and I also changed the BMS profile to not change Resolution. I can then run Black Mesa in a very nice looking resolution. Half Life has never looked so good.

    Any other ideas

Thanks, but that doesn’t work for me. I tried that also with HL2 with no success. Ralf told me to set my desktop to the desired resolution, so I tried that also with Black Mesa, but no go.
trying to run at 2560×1920 (4×3) with oldui of course).

Not sure how to change the resolution of this game. If I try to change resolution in game, it crashes. So I setup custom resolutions for my computer and set it for 2560×1920, run Black mesa (without vorpx) and it goes back to 16×9 (1920×1080). I also tried changing the profile to set the res to 1920p, with it falls back to a lower res. Not saying it doesn’t look good, but I want the best. Any idea on when next update will come out? Thanks

I didn’t think atw or asw worked with VD. I currently play many older games and stream them to my Quest with VD and it works really well. Look forward to learning more about native Oculus support possibilites.

How is everyone playing this, I mean with a GamePad or with Touch/Vive/Etc controllers with remapping. I started out with Oculus Touch controllers and started to do some remapping of the controls, but don’t know the most important buttons to remap. I thought Remapping keys got stored in the profile, so I guess most are using a gamepad as the controller remapping doesn’t really work with this game(s), yet.

Thanks delrifter22, Game is looking very nice. Not sure how you will improve it more. Makes another good game to show off VR as many flat gamers know this game.

Thanks for your work on a working profile. I just loaded up CE and VorpX hooked and it seemed somewhat ok. I used to have just a black screen, now it seems alright. How do I check to see what profile I’m using for this game? Thanks

+1 Bioshock was really awesome with VorpX. I often show that game off to new people coming over to the house who don’t know about VR.

OK, that makes sense. Sorry for not seeing that. One last thing, very briefly how does the shift work? (I assume clicking another button and holding it, like the grip button???)

I got the public beta working by adding “-oldgameui” to the launch parameters (without the dbl quotes of course).

ok, thanks for the quick reply. I also had to do some key rebinding for the profile for crouch & use. Was very easy, great stuff.
