steph12Participantcongratulations :)
i cant even begin to imagine the insane amount of work this took.
kudos man !
steph12Participanti’m sorry to say this but vorpx will probably (i’m almost 100% sure) never support /work on unofficial servers.
steph12Participantyou’re welcome :)
enjoy ! this game is incredible in G3D !
steph12Participanttry to create a vorpx desktop shortcut for that game, 3D works then, at least for me.
right click on the vorpx icon bottom right, create shortcut and then pick oriDE.exe, launch the game using that shortcut.
steph12Participantnice, thanks a lot man :)
i’m busy with many games right now but when i’ll play that game i’ll sure enjoy your profiles :)

steph12Participantyou can rebind keys as you know, with grip buttons on the controlers you can have 2 set of commands per wand, enough to have a decent gameplay, you cant bind everything but you can bind just enough commands to play without using keyboard/mouse/gamepad.

steph12Participantthanks man for sharing this :D
i have a gtx 1080 with 8192mb of vram so how do i set this ?
PoolSize=3000
TexturePoolSizeReductionMB=1500
LowPCTexturePoolSizeMB=3000
steph12Participanti didnt play the game yet, atm i’m playing half life 2 with vorpx, then i will play ep1 and 2 still with vorpx, i’m having a blast !
i know alyx is getting great reviews from journalists and players and i’m sure i will enjoy it but i think it’s just a showcase of what a VR game can be when designed from the ground up from a big studio like valve.
maybe you will enjoy the game more the more you play ? i wont crucify you if you dont, i need you to keep working on VorpX :D
when you play incredible AAA games in VR with vorpx, then you are likely to be less impressed by others VR native games because they tend to be overly complicated in gameplay for not much, again, i didnt play alyx yet, maybe i will fall in love for that game (i hope so) but you know what ? as a vr enthusiast i wont buy it anytime soon because VorpX allows me to fill my VR needs and once again i thank you for this.
good thing is alyx succesfull apparently and a lot more people bought a VR headset, meaning VR market is growing and it’s most welcome, i hope we’ll get more and more people using VorpX in the future.
steph12Participanti have a htc vive gen 1 and 2 lighthouses, i’ll try to set them up differently, thank you for this advice :)
my issue with positional tracking is in all games now, black mesa, skyrim, i think there is something in my setup broken or not set up right, i’ll try to fix it.
i also ordered a valve index but i wont have it anytime soon specially in that corona period :/
i noticed since months that one of my light house makes weird noise, still solid green light tho but i’m not sure if it’s working 100%.
steph12Participanti really loved that game years ago, thanks for sharing this :)
steph12Participantalright, thanks Ralf :)
i did a fresh w10 install with zero extra softwares, no antivirus, msi afterburner etc installed, and it still happens, but yeah i’ll just disable positional tracking for now.
it’s weird because before it was working great, i mean, months ago, i’ll have to see if i can get it working with skyrim ^^ for that game i’m 100% sure i had everything working great including positional tracking.
steph12Participanti’m afraid we wont be able to play that game in VR for the time being.
steph12Participantok, i’ll try tomorrow :) thanks Ralf !
but if for some reason it doesnt for me, i’m happy with that “previous” build, works great.
