RalfKeymasterI can’t get my head around the thing yet either, just noticed something similar while checking CP2077 with mouse/kb earlier today for other reasons, which mysteriously got resolved by pressing ALT, hence the question. I’ll investigate the issue further with fairly high priority, but don’t have a solution right now.
You can switch the VR controllers to gamepad mode instead, not sure though whether that helps with your AgileVR setup.
RalfKeymasterDoes this always happen right from the start or does it work at first and then stops working at some point? Also would be great if you could let me know whether tapping the ALT key maybe helps. There might be some weird issue with the redone keyboard handling that would probably also affect VR controllers in keyboard/mouse mode. I haven’t fully understood it yet though.
RalfKeymasterThat’s a side effect of head tracking, which currently is done by emulating a mouse, so the game constantly switches between controller and mouse input. A handful of games allow to choose whether the gamepad or the keyboard overlay should be shown, but I couldn’t find anything like that here when I looked through the menu.
The upside is that at least the game can handle mouse and gamepad input at the same time, which makes things a lot easier. Not all games do.
I’ll look into DirectVR memory scanner head tracking later, which would remedy this glitch, but can’t say yet whether or not that will possible in the end.
RalfKeymasterProbably some injection conflict with another program on your PC that also hooks into games. Judging from your first post you apparently already went through possible conflicting programs, but might be worth to double check that. If you didn’t read it already, the trouble shooting post on top of this sub forum has more details on the matter.
If you can’t resolve the issue, please create a trouble shoot data archive in the config app directly after launching the game and send that to support at vorpx com. No promises, but I’ll take a look at that.
RalfKeymasterDid you try the two options the dialog offers (hook helper/alternative hooking)?

RalfKeymasterNo double posts please. Thanks. I have removed your other post. I don’t have an answer for every question within an hour, sorry for that. I also experienced two seemingly random crashes yesterday during approx. three hours of play time. Not good, of course, but nothing game breaking. I’ll keep an eye on the matter. For the time being please simply continue from the last auto save, which luckily are created quite often.
RalfKeymasterIf you didn’t keep the web installer, you can get a new one any time from the link below. Make sure to enter the same mail address into the form that you used to register vorpX originally, otherwise no link will be sent.
RalfKeymasterThere isn’t a huge framerate impact for creating the 3D effect with Z3D (less than 10% when I check here with vorpX in ‘Generic 3D Display’ mode), but there is some additional overhead for rendering to the headset and most importantly when the GPU is maxed out fully it becomes increasingly difficult for vorpX to serve both the game and the headset. In other words: the higher the GPU load the greater the chance that rendering to the headset can’t keep up, which can cause stutter.
Finding a resolution/graphics settings that works stable on your PC is pretty much the only useful hint I can give here.
RalfKeymasterRTX ultra + 2880×1700 is probably the answer to your question. I did my play test with slightly more modest 2560×1440 and the graphics settings that the game chose automatically for a 3080 without any framerate issues.
RalfKeymasterI’m thinking about moving the background images to some AppData folder anyway. Might happen in the not too distant future. Since AV programs, and now even Windows, allow some extra protection for the documents folder, using that has become a major pain in the back anyway.
Even if that should not be the problem in your case, every once in while there is someone who forgot they enabled this documents protection and then wonder why vorpX can’t write to the folder…
RalfKeymasterNever encountered this myself. Might be worth to try a full uninstall/reinstall, maybe the installation is borked somehow, causing issues during an update.
Keep the registration key on uninstall, it asks about that. Otherwise you will need to activate again. Also makes sense to backup important profiles in case you have some with highly customized settings. You can drag and drop them to the desktop from the config app (and vice versa for restoring).
RalfKeymasterThat doesn’t sound right. Can you maybe disable TrackIR in the game options? vorpX only does anything TrackIR related if it can detect TrackIR support in a game AND you enable TrackIR in the vorpX menu.
RalfKeymasterThe culprit is almost certainly that invasive AV program. Try to uninstall it. You don’t need third party AV on Windows 10. It comes with Windows Defender built in which is more than good enough for several years now.
RalfKeymasterProbably BitDefender. It’s so called ‘Advanced Threat Protection’ isn’t quite as advanced as the name suggests and flatout blocks Windows functions used to hook into games. Either disable this function or get rid of that fairly invasive AV software. Third party AV is largely useless in Windows 10, which has its own AV solution built in.
Also try to start the game directly from the Windows desktop without starting the vorpX desktop viewer first. Shouldn’t be an issue normally, but just in case.
