RalfKeymasterHi,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
You should have received a new download link in the meantime. If you didn’t receive it or continue to have problems, please contact support |at| vorpx com.
RalfKeymasterAFAIK you can use the ENB Injector version with vorpX. You can download it from the ENB mod website. This wasn’t tested here, but supposedly it works.
To enhance the image quality you have various options in vorpX: One is to set the game resolution higher than the Rift’s default 1280×800, which forces the Rift to downsample the output, creating a generally better looking image. Whether, and if, how good this works depends on your graphics driver and settings though.
vorpX also has various image quality related options on the display tab of the in-game menu. Try enabling ‘Fix Chromatic Aberration’ or ‘Shader Antialising’. Using both together is usually overkill and might cost you a few FPS, so try the one you like better.
Hope that helps.
RalfKeymasterUpdate: Using the -32 switch isn’t needed anymore. The 64bit version works fine with the latest vorpX version.
RalfKeymasterI recently checked the title since it looked like a good fit for the Rift. Unfortunately it seems to use OpenGL to display the graphics, which isn’t supported by vorpX currently.
RalfKeymasterIf something doesn’t work, setting the display config to clone mode is always one of the things you should try, not only for BF4. The safest method to do this is setting clone mode in Windows and ‘Use System Settings’ in vorpX.
RalfKeymasterProfiles for a few more X3 versions have been added recently. This games for some reason has so many different .EXEs for its various versions/add-ons etc. that it’s not an easy task to catch them all, but we’re getting there. :)
RalfKeymasterHi Soulking,
In World of Warcraft you have to press the right mouse button to look around. We might add an option to do this automatically, but due to some unwanted side effects it isn’t decided yet whether this will really be done.
RalfKeymasterHi Cron,
vorpX is devoloped constantly. If you bought it roughly a month ago, it might even be that you don’t have the current version installed. Normally updates are installed automatically, but if the auto update fails for you, you can always use your original installer to install the latest version. The next update is due in a few days, probably before Christmas, version 1.0 will be reached around the time the consumer Rift is available.
There seems to be an issue with Portal 2 that apparently affects about 10% of all machines. Unfortunately we cannot reproduce this issue here so far, but since Portal 2 is quite popular this is under constant investigation.
In case you haven’t done so before, please check the steps mentioned in the trouble shooting guide above, maybe it contains something useful for your problems. Refunds are not possible after a month of usage, I hope that’s understandable. Also please keep in mind that there are no guarantees regarding unsupported games.
Hope that helps.
RalfKeymasterHi Nightscar,
The beta license includes the full version 1.0 and subsequent 1.x updates.
RalfKeymasterThere shouldn’t be a d3d9.dll present in your Fallout 3 directory (or any game directory) with the fresh install. That is a system .dll, it absolutely does not belong in a game directory. I’m 100% sure that Fallout 3 does not install that .dll in its game directory.
vorpX hooks into this system dll, that is why it cannot run with the dll present in the game directory. If the game only starts with the dll present, there has to something wrong. Did you try to reinstall DirectX? Sounds like there is something seriously wrong with DirectX on your system if you need to manually copy d3d dlls.
RalfKeymasterNo, sorry. vorpX will not work while a d3d9.dll is present in the Fallout directory. In Fallout 3 this usually indicates the usage of an ENB mod. If this is true for you, you have to remove the ENB mod or even try with a clean, mod-less Fallout 3.
Hope that helps.
RalfKeymasterIf the config app and the doc viewer do not start, you should try to reinstall/repair the Microsoft doNet Framework 3.5. Both programs need it.
The Fallout NV problem might be caused by your gamepad. If you have a gamepad attached to your PC, disable it in the Fallout NV optios menu. vorpX has its own gamepad emulation, so you can still use it although it is deactivated in the game.
Hope that helps.
RalfKeymasterYou might be pleased to hear that a ‘factory reset’ function was implemented in the meantime and will be available with the next update. So, no need to to stop experimenting in the near future. :)
RalfKeymasterX-Plane does not currently work with vorpX unfortunately, since it uses OpenGL to display the graphics. OpenGL support might be added later, but for now vorpX only supports DirectX9-11.
RalfKeymasterYou can also watch 2D movies this way. This looks similar to a big screen in front of you. For movie watching there are specialized programs though (Stereoscopic Player for example) that do this better than vorpX, at least for now. For vorpX this is just add-on functionality, it’s primarily meant for games.
