Ah, yeah. The command I put at the beginning of this post is all on one line the forum just made it look like two separate commands.

Dude, you just enter in that command in the WoW chatbox and you’re good to go FoV wise. And Vorpx works per usual as well, just start it and then the game and mess with zoom settings if you want.

Also since I cannot edit my original message I’ll post one more mod here I recommend. The Immersive quest mod, this is a must have.

@ ralf You just need to enter it into the in-game chatbox. I have mine setup as an in-game macro that will activate when I press it.

@ Baktus Thanks for that, I hadn’t searched further to see how to make it persist through sessions as I go back and forth between VR and monitor depending on my mood.

I don’t think they are new? I can’t remember when this was implemented as honestly I’ve just been playing on a vanilla private server for the longest but I remembered youtube videos of people using this and had to wrack my brain in searching to find it again. Here’s a random thread on bnet that goes all technical about it.

Honestly MMORPG’s in general piss me off with their shitty first person modes, like why even bother if it’s going to be completely unusable? Anyway I suggest using Voiceattack with this if you’re planning on using VR controllers.

Is Overwatch on the list of things that may work with this new version? Since I saw you posted that WoW should work.

I have been waiting for this, coupled with Blizz finally caving and announcing legacy servers at Blizzcon.

God why? I have it, never thought or wanted to try it. Its a top down only game I can’t even fathom how one would even attempt to play it in VR. Just to humor you when I get home I can try it.

I’ve got this one working, although I have a Vive and not a Rift. Don’t start Vorpx untill after you have the FF14 launcher up and have put in your password. Then open up Vorpx and hit play on FF14 and it should catch like mine did. Can’t remember if you are supposed to have SteamVR started or if you need to let Vorpx start it but I’ve run into that being the case in multiple games.

-edit Works in both versions of DX for me.

Maybe 3d would be more immersive but 2d would be more versatile. People would be able to make their own that are the proper aspect ratio and upload them for others to use.

The Cinema Environments isn’t what I’m trying to achieve or if it is then I am not doing it correctly. Basically I want to import an image that will be stuck to your face and transparent so you can see your game; like an overlay or looking through a helmet; here is an example.

    Helmet Example

So basically I could then zoom the game out as far as I wanted and have the inside of the helmet acting as if it were a literal helmet limiting my field of view.

I got vanilla servers working but not retail

I am interested in this. I bought Vorpx to use in junction with my Virtuix Omni (WHEN MINE FINALLY SHIPSJDKAFNKMQ3) and while I can get vanilla WoW running I had a few issues, how is yours running?

If you are using OpenVR AdvancedSettings, disable it. That shit does not play well with Vorpx.
