I remember joining a few servers a while back that had some Omni custom stuff but I left em and don’t have the software anymore. I still have this OpenOmni software on steam from one of the servers. Happen to have a link to the OmniUnlocked app?

I tried today and the worst thing is Vorpx doesn’t even try, its as if it doesn’t detect a game is launching at all. It like to try to hook the launcher but the game itself? Nah. I even tried copying the Nier profile then starting XIV and pointing the created profile to the running FFXIV process and still nothing. I would try reinstalling Vorpx like the guys in this thread but that shit is a hassle since you have to get a new key each time.

Event Viewer finally gave me something, saying the PC was restarting due to a bug check with a code of 0x00000116, checking the minidump it is pointing toward DirectX specifically dxgkrnl.sys

Now time to web surf to find a resolution @_@

Yeah I revwrted each chamge as it didn’t help just wanted to narrow down my troubleshooting and see if anyone else had crashing issues. For all I know my video card could be dying.

I have a Virtuix Omni treadmill and it works fine with Vorpx in Keyboard and Mouse mode. Haven’t used it in a while though.

Classic WoW beta works without issue by copying the regular WoW profile.

I loaded up Vorpx today and it had another update, maybe the update failed the first time? Regardless it works, however I have news of Classic World of Warcraft. I recieved a beta invite and will be able to test it fully tomorrow but just copying the current WoW Vorpx profile it worked although I could not log in as servers are down.

Classic is put into a subdirectory of WoW and if you try to change the download place it notices that there is no base WoW and has you download a 9 gig file instead of a 4 gig file so my bet is they are linked enough that there should be no work on your end.

I gave it a try but the new vorpx update just crashes WoW now. It loads, starts up SteamVR and I can hear WoW through the headset for a second before WoW crashes. I am never able to see anything loaded in the headset now. I did try windowed and fullscreen, having steamvr started, letting vorpx start steamvr, disabling and enabling Vorpx optimization, running Vorpx with Administrative privileges, disabling anything that deals with vsync ingame, changed the graphics api ingame from Directx11 Legacy to just Directx 11.

I tried Titanfall 2 and that still worked perfectly so unsure what the issue is now. I am running Windows 7 btw.

I want to lie in bed with WMR and watch a movie.
However, the image does not have a ceiling direction.
Can I make the image go to the ceiling when it is not in FULL VR mode?

What you are looking for is Bigscreen Beta. Its free and you can lay in bed and adjust the screen as you please.

Honestly I think its because everyone was expecting some huge one size fits all solution and were pissed when Vorpx wasn’t it. Add on the shit lords that tried it and started spewing that it was a sham and I think that’s why Vorpx is less known. Some people are too afraid to try it cause idiots who tried it years ago and didn’t bother to throw in effort or check to see what games were supported still to this day have an aneurysm when Vorpx is mentioned.

You’ll have to elaborate, I have the Omni treadmill by Virtuix and I just throw it in Keyboard and Mouse mode. It also has a gamepad mode as well, everything just kinda works or at least the games I want to play do.

-edit I want KatWalk Mini, no restrictive ring looks nice D:

Just checked my macros, everything works. Some people said something about it not working correctly when copied from here so I’ma see if putting it in this code tag will do anything differently. I’ll also put down more useful macros I use for more immersion.

NOTE: IF IT DOES NOT WORK. Copy the following lines of code to notepad and make sure everything is on one line with no forced line breaks. Run over into a new line is all right but there is a chance this website is formatting it weird and making it not work in WoW.
Code to make the FoV wider, to turn if off replace -150 with 0 and 150 with 0.
    /run WorldFrame:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", 0, -150) WorldFrame:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", 0, 150)

Turns off floating text for healing done to target, to turn it back on replace 0 with 1
    /console floatingCombatTextCombatHealing 0

Turns off floating text for damage done to target, to turn it back on replace 0 with 1
    /console floatingCombatTextCombatDamage 0

Turns on the action camera, to turn it back off replace full with off
    /console ActionCam full

I just found this thread and this is exactly what I need, I had another thread here that fixed the FOV for people using the same Worldframe method you are using but what was turning me off was being unable to use the mouse as I am looking around. Seeing as you’ve solved it with the addon I’ll go through and get it to work and see if I can improve on anything.

Also if you play Vanilla WoW on private servers there is a cheatengine script that does everything. Although I tweaked his because there was a lot of shit that I didn’t like in his keybindings and his views but the fact that the controller itself is acting as the mouse and not the trackpad is something I wish Ralf would integrate.

    -edit
Do you have any judder? If not what are the specs for your pc?

Not your problem but relevant to a fun WoW Vorpx experience.
