I just tried the 1.63 version of Cyberpunk 2077 with VorpX Beta and I had no head tracking. Z3D works.

apologies the website said ‘Version alpha 8 is now available. This update adds compatibility with Cyberpunk 2077 1.61.’ as latest. This is great to know thank you!

    Hi all,

I’ve wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 in VR since it came out, but had been put off by the need for using a mouse and keyboard (or controller) with Luke Ross’s mod. So when I found the Vorpx mod I was very excited.

I bought the game, I downloaded the mod, and (because it only seemed fair to support the developer) I finally got around to buying/installing VorpX too.

Sadly, the game had updated to 1.63, so the mod didn’t fully work – everything appears in VR but on a giant “cinema screen”.

I see from 2 other posts on this forum a note that we should be able to solve this by installing the latest ‘Cyber Engine Tweaks’ mod from Nexus. (Supposedly there should have been a “large window on the screen” telling me this, but for me at least, I could only see the top line or two of the message while all the rest was off the bottom of the screen. If others are seeing the same as me, it’s unsurprising that they got confused).

But… I installed it, and it’s still not working for me.

I’m using a Valve Index through SteamVR. I start SteamVR, pull up the desktop view, and run Cyberpunk from Steam. Close the desktop view, and Cyberpunk starts up.

I get into the ‘home room’ with the tutorial for motion controls and can try them all out.

I can click out of this to get to the loading screen. At this point, I need to hit space. Bit of a pain as my VR rig is downstairs and the PC it connects to is upstairs, but a bit of cardio later, and I’m into the game.

Then I’m talking to the guy at the bar. Everything is being displayed on the giant cinema screen rather than in proper VR. Is this expected? I still have to use keyboard controls to choose conversation options.

The VR mod *is* running cos I can squeeze the left-hand controller, then the right one, and get the VR setup menu up.

I can’t seem to move around though.

Am I doing something dumb here? Are my expectations wrong?

I’m happy to be told that I’m a fool and I haven’t read the instructions, as long as someone can point me to the instructions that I haven’t read!

Thanks in advance for any help people can give.

I use Cyberpunk 2077 profile. With Metro Exodus profile, it seems only possible to launch the game if it’s set on DirectX 11.

Just bought Cyberpunk 2077 to try with the Vorpx Standalone mod. I do own Vorpx, but I’m using the Standalone. All seems ok visually, some ghosting, problem is I can’t move around with my Oculus touch controllers, I have a Rift S. I have applied the latest CET files. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Once a CP2077 game is started/resumed, a double notice always appears on the left side of the screen stating:
    (1) “Game settings changed, a restart might be required ….etc”; and below that
    (2) “CP2077 is a full blown mod ….etc …. CTRL+ALT+SHIFT to close this message”

    I have two problems:
1st) CTRL+ALT+SHIFT does not close the message; and
2nd) ALT+F (FPS counter) doesnt work until the notice window is closed.

Eventually, the notice window disappears after 10 mins, but I want to activate the FPS counter when the game starts.

Is there any way to (either using control buttons or config/ini file edits):
    a) disable the message from appearing at the start or close it immediately
    b) make the FPS counter active when game starts, ideally set it to auto-start

    Thanks!

    Hi,

if I launch Metro Exodus with local profile and DX11, the game is in G3D, but I can’t get the menu with the shortcut I defined.

It works in DX12 with Cyberpunk 2077 profile without any 3D at all (can’t even get Z3D).

I would like to have the menu to set zoom value, etc.

Has anyone had luck getting vorpX to attach to games using Steam? I tried installing vorpX in the same Proton installation folders as Tomb Raider 2013 and Cyberpunk 2077 and can not get the games to launch even with Steam VR active.

Hey… I am having exactly the same problem and people keep suggesting the standalone mode, but this is not only happening with Cyberpunk 2077 but also with games like Battlefront Star Wars… I get a 200% zoom image every time… changing FOV in the game and in VORPX is useless… Because of this games are unplayable… did you find a get around for this, please? People keep suggesting the standalone mod which I used, but Battlefront has no vr mod and seems as zoomed in…

    Hi

    – Cyberpunk 2077 (with VR mod, it was the main reason why I bought vorpX), but played maybe 1 hour, because it zooms view and very uncomfortable. Tried change settings but didn’t get good result.

Try to change 3D reconstruction mode from DirectVR to Z-normal. I have a very bad feeling with DirectVR, but it is really nice with Z-normal (even if 3D is slightly less nice). I don’t play in FullVR mode, but rather in Immersive mode with Mouse/KB/PAD. I use a 4:3 resolution, and ajust the screen zoom to be on the edge of my left/right vision.

    – Fallout 76, same as Cyberpunk 2077;
I don’t play Fallout 76, but my Fallout 4 setting are similar to Cyberpunk.

I have not tried other games yet.

I like VR games and just stereoscopic games (that’s why I bought vorpX). But unfortunatelly, I have a lot of difficulties using vorpX with my Meta Quest 2. Actually, I didn’t play even a single game without problems from the very beginning. Currently, vorpX looks completely useless.
    I tried:
    – Cyberpunk 2077 (with VR mod, it was the main reason why I bought vorpX), but played maybe 1 hour, because it zooms view and very uncomfortable. Tried change settings but didn’t get good result.
    – Fallout 76, same as Cyberpunk 2077;
    – Today I’ve tried Dragon Age: Origins – it crashes immidiatelly.
I have several games that I want to play in stereoscopic mode (or pseudo VR), but I can’t rid of this feeling: the more games I try, the more disappointment I get from vorpX. Because I literally spent hours to make it work and lost these battles every time.
Next I’m going to try Assassin Creed Odyssey…
