Maybe you mean something else than what I had in mind. The only other thing I can recommend is downloading the “Mass Effect: Andromenda [vorpX]” cloud profile in case you didn’t do that already. The profile that currently is included with vorpX has some shadow issues which have been fixed in the cloud profile.

Apart from that there isn’t really anything I can recommend besides switching to Z3D.

    Hi everyone,

I’m racking my brain trying to get G3D performance from my Reverb1.

For instance, I’m using Divinity Original Sin II profile with Divinity Original Sin I Enhanced Edition and it has perfect 3D effect with cinema screen. But when G3D is turned on, I get a DRAMATIC performance increase in the headset vs regular desktop mode (not generic headset).

    2560×1440
    Desktop : 598 fps
    Reverb1 Z3D : 275 fps
    Reverb1 G3D : 40 – 45 fps fluctuating

Should there be such a massive difference ?

    Regular VR games are fine

    spec
I9 9900K – OCed to 5GHz all cores (watercooled) temp never goes above 65C
    RTX 3080
    32 GB ram

    P.S.
I don’t think it’s CPU issue as the videocard is pegged at 99% when this happens

I am looking forward to the remaster my self. It’s been years since I last played through them, and to now be able to play it all again is going to be epic.

I know that there are mods and textures to fix the old games, but after seeing this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJa_sY0f8jM (Mass Effect Legendary Trailer vs Originals, Side By Side Comparison) I think that waiting a few more months and comparing them will be worth it.

Yeah, mass effect is without a doubt my favorite franchise of all time, but this is nothing but a cash grab unfortunately. They screwed up Andromeda, and left a massive decade-big hole in the greatest game series of all. And they know it. Now, with nothing to show but their d!cks in their hands, they have to “remaster” 15 year old games because thats all they can do for now. Sad. They could have done so much more.

I haven’t seen anything screenshot wise yet that looks much different. Some touch ups here or there, but certainly not re-buy worthy.
(Playing old games in ***4K***, is just seeing an old ass game at higher resolution. No thanks.)

    Hey everyone,

So made a thread earlier in 2020 when lockdown started happening trying to get ideas for good games to play via Vorpx during the last year and wanted to make a new recommendation thread, if anyone was interested in posting their best Vorpx experiences.

My last thread I mentioned my favorite, before 2020, being modded 1st person Sekiro, 1st person Dark Souls 3, 1st Person Mass Effect Andromeda

So I didnt get to do as much Vorpx gaming in 2020 as I would have liked, but I would like to point out some great experiences I had in Vorpx in 2020

    So for new recommendations:

Resident Evil 7 – even with Z-Adaptive, not Geo3d. There were some issues with gun ghosting and shadows in Geo 3d for me, but Z-Adaptive didnt have those at all.

Seriously – if you were kinda bored with RE, I was too, but… this game is just a goddamn treasure and should be experienced by -ANYONE- with Vorpx. You can find it for like 8 bucks on Keys sites.

Metro Exodus was pretty fantastic as well, was happy with the direction that game took with the open world FPS design and surprised me with how well it ran in Vorpx.

Titanfall 2 – Ran incredibly smooth and just a great campaign in VR

On a more difficult recommendation, got Dark souls 2 to work in 1st person VR with Cheat Engine. That was a fun one, you could find the instructions online if you wanted to – but Id Recommend Sekiro or Dark Souls 3 before it, much easier to get up and running.

So anyone have any games they thought were particularly good to experience they want to point out in the last few months/year?

Thanks for your time and take care

Since the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Fiasko, the Pipeline of new Games in my “loot scheme” was empty. Bloodlines 2, Dying Light 2, Mass Effect Remastered and Watch Dogs Legion were postponed and the only Game i loved in 2020 was Mafia Remastered. I finished Horizon Zero Dawn in 2017 on a PS4, and play it again was boring. CP77 will save my love to Video Games in general, 2020 and Covid sucks my Passion.

Today is a day to celebrate for all Vorpx Gamer. Over 100 hours of Highest Quality Triple A Content. Only GTA 6, Red Dead Redemption 3 and Squadron 42 are able to beat it. CP77 is a first person game and that is what we need in VR. Its DRM Free and can be modded by the community from day 1.

The most Teething Bugs and Glitches will be fixed by CDPR in hurry, it was the same in the Witcher 3 and this was one of the best Video Game of All time. Overly Critical Point of Views are whining at a highest level.

Yup, I always try my best to explain to the redditor, the wonder of playing 2d non vr games in vorpx,

this software is just mind blowing for me, there is no way i can go back to 2d games without 3d stereo effect like G3D inside giant massive screen.

Thank you so much ralf for all these good years of VR

I tried Mass Effect 3 profile and the result was the same. I also have troubles distinguishing between real 3D and “flat” 3D. Everything seems to be a real one for me. So, I have a paranoia: what if I’m delusional and something I believe is 3D is in reality 2D. But thank you for confirming Z3D working! Although I might try to get HelixVision working (to compare with vorpX and just because I love tinkering), with vorpX I’m calling it a day.

I haven’t logged onto the game in like forever, but I got on and verified that the Z3D is working. No G3D and the z-adaptive is weak if it even works. You may have better results with a different dx9 profile – Unreal Engine 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect 3, Resident Evil 4 – lot of them to try out. The z-normal with Dragon’s Dogma looked pretty good in the brief moments that I logged in though, so if you’re happy with that then I wouldn’t bother.

I’m trying to play Mass Effect 2 with the Touch controllers. By default the game controls the mouse with the right stick. While this is ok for just walking around, it is obviously no good for aiming. This may be a silly question, but I’m a total noob, so please bear with me. How do I configure vorpx to use the right controller’s positional/rotational tracking for aiming and generally moving the mouse?

Also, while I’m at it, Mass Effect 2’s HUD elements appear at an odd depth that clashes with what’s behind them. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Ralf, this is a brand new vorpx and game installation. Also, I tried all the settings regarding head tracking, none of them works…
Actually this problem happened to me years ago on my desktop in the Alient Isolation game and other games. Now I moved my license to my laptop, ran Mass Effect Andromeda and the tale of plague, they all have the same issue.

Can you point me to some useful youtube videos about vorpx settings? I searched a lot and didn’t find anything useful.
