I wrote to customer support already, but maybe someone here can help too. I’ve been having trouble with vorpx. I can ran Red Dead redemption 2 just fine ( a bit blurry for now.) However, every other game I’ve tried it looks like Vorpx won’t even attach to it. I’m trying play on steam vr. I have an oculus 3. For RDRD2 I’m playing with my the Steam VR settings, so the other games should be ok. Any help please? It’s weird that one game works but the others don’t.

Also any help to make RDRD2 less blurry and I could aim without using the headset would be great. (I have to use my head to “aim”

Hmm, the “Mad Max – G3D (Rift) [dellrifter22]” profile doesn’t work for me, as vorpx will not hook whatsover. The Red Dead Redemption one hooks but causes a crash as soon as it loads into the game. However, from what I’ve seen inside my headset (as the game freezes before it crashes) the 3D effect with Z3D was VERY insignificant at best, so not worth the loss of performance and comfort (Q2 + 3rd party strap is not really comfy).

I hope there will be an official (and working) profile soon for this game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 profile works pretty well in Z3d, you can really push the 3d but the more you do the more ghosting you get if you can live with that.

RDR1 finally came to PC today!

Unfortunately, I am not having luck getting it to work in vorpX. All but one of the dx12 profiles return an ‘access violation’ error before reaching the main menu. Only the RDR2 profile gets you into the game, but the Z3D is broken. I tried all of the various settings combinations I could think of, but could not get it working. You can see the Z3D is trying with the blurred edges of the screen, but it can’t quite find the right buffer. It seems we’ll need a new profile.

Ralf, is this a game you plan to look at? I’m trying to decide if I should refund the game or not. Thanks.

The UEVR mod for Robocopy: Rogue City is well regarded as a pancake to full VR title, and there are quite a few impressive YouTube videos. I am loathe to fiddle with UEVR as it has too many options that gives me a headache. Was just wondering if anyone has got a Vorpx profile to work to this standard; and any chance of an official profile for this title? I figure if it works well with a free mod, no reason why it shouldn’t work well with Vorpx following the precedents of Cyberpunk and Read Dead Redemption 2.

    Hi all,
there is an official profile for RDR2, so I assume this game must work.
I bought it on steam and when I start it, the vorpx popup comes telling that it is attaching to rdr2.exe. But nothing happens in my headset. When I exit the game there is a vorpx popup telling that hooking the game failed. On the very first start I got another vorpx popup that asks for an API version. I have choosen DX9-12 as the game is set to DX12.
What am I doing wrong here? So far I never had issues with vorpx. But this is my first DX12 game.

You can test some profiles with the vorpx beta on your own, because most of the dx12 games working with one of the list. Try first of all Resident Evil Village, Grounded, Death Stranding, The last of us, Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption.

It is very simple, check the local profiles for all DX12 Games, and if no profile can be forked and give you 3D vorpx is not compatible with that game.

You will get used to it to do things on your own, if you want to use vorpx.

If no user profile is working well, there will be released a official profile by Ralf of vorpx. But you will have to wait weeks, if no user profile works.

try profiles of grounded, resident evil village, starfield, red dead redemption 2 and if everything fails the “vorpx sbs-base-profile” with reshade 3D

You need a profile that matches ! First try Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

After that, step by step all other profiles for games from FROM Software.

The Engine doesn’t really have a name. It’s a somewhat heavily modified version of the PhyreEngine which is a freeware engine provided by Sony with a lot of custom stuff added onto it. They also used Havok for physics in DeS, DS1 and DS2 however that doesn’t seem be the case for BB, DS3, Sekiro and Elden Ring. Sadly there isn’t really much information about it.

But many people say that’s a myth unfortunately !

But you can even try resident evil village, grounded, starfield, cyberpunk77 and Red Dead Redemption. because it is dx12 game in general !

I’m trying to play red dead redemption 2 but the profile keeps messing with my key bindings.
i cant even walk properly in game, all WASD keys pretty much make me go forward.

Is there a way to get a vorpx profile to stop altering key bindings?

I’m trying to play red dead with index goggles and KB/M.
Game runs fine without Vorpx but when I play with it hooked, it overides my keyboard bindings.
Mainly WASD is the issue, it forces tank control on the horse no matter the perspective I have enabled. No matter the camera control relativity I have enabled in game too.

What’s worse, is it that still persists after I dismount and go on foot. Though at this point its not really tank controls anymore, but instead all 4 WASD keys make me go forward. ASD however seems like its using its respective ASD together with W, as if when I press A its like the game is fighting over A and W. If I press S its fighting between S and W and W always wins, and I always go forward.

In addition I think certain keys Iv rebound seem to also have the new AND old bound action.

What is the extra overlay of button function and how do I remove it?

I disable the vorpx from changing setting both in vorpx game menu as well as the Windows Vorpx Control app and nothing has changed. Iv defaulted the in game buttons, set everything to horse relative movement. What else? this is currently unplayable.

In the last of us i have no flow and i never reached the second half of the game because of that. In general i like Stealth gameplay with flow, and no run and gun shooter. And Storys like Mafia 1+2, Red Dead Redemption, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, that are also fantastic adult storys but with a bunch of emotions and not only one of depressive and brutality. I completed Days Gone which has a melancholic atmosphere too, but the mix of the state of the art gameplay with flow and emotions that are melancholic and not depressive is in my opinion a better way to have a good time and not to cry.

RE4 remake, I gave RE 8 a chance because of the amazing graphics, but I do not like Horror Games. Elden Ring for example is without it’s difficult level a crap game. On the other hand, Syberia: World Before and Stray or also Hogwarts are quality games, but i do not like those games, too.

In 2022/2023 i also completed Mafia 2, Hitman Absolution and Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I will give Uncharted 4 in VR a new chance, but i completed it in 2016 before.
I installed some nude Mods for a few NPCs to make it a little bit more interesting.

Also Tomb Raider 2013 looks great in G3D with a nude Mod, and has a good story and good gameplay.

I know that it is sad, that i have to install nude mods to have fun with uncompleted older games, but the last 4 years were financial successful for the gaming industries, but they is only a small list of Blockbuster which have amazing gameplay, with an amazing story in combination with next gen graphics.

So the game works without vorpx..but as soon as i put it through vorpx the L stick does not move Arthur anymore. It still works in the menu. i have played with all the vorpx controller settings and nothing works. I even remapped the controller to wsad in the keyboard section. thinking this would surely work..but it did not…any ideas?
