Is there anyway you could make a profile for Resident evil 4 remake & Strange Brigade?
i attempted to make one for each and basically i suck at it..every profile i make like Lunch lady for example always come out flat and 2d :( can you please help me :)
when i first got the game ( Resident Evil 3 remake) it played perfect then later..i started having issues. i went to the forums to see if anyone had this issue and resolved it..make the long story short.. I have an Amd Rizen Threadripper 1950x and my GPU is a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080..
So far i tried the Res2 remake profile method and changed the PCDX settings to Dx11.
didn’t work.. i tried the recent Vorpx res3 with the dx12 settings didn’t work..i uninstalled and reinstalled the game and tried both methods again.. also i forgot to mention i have a Valve Index headset.. Please help me :( im stuck on what to do..i really want to beat it in 3rd person Vr before i move on to Res4 remake.
Okay, quick update on the matter since i installed my 4090 today.
First, it’s seems like a monster and a big upgrade from my 3090 (FE) even without DLSS 3.0.
I couldn’t test DLSS 3 yet, but i’m running Cyberpunk 2077 (VorpX version, not the dedicated VR mod, so it’s only Z3D) everything maxout at 4k with DLSS 2.0 set on “balanced”, and it’s butter smooth with a detailed image.
I’m using a reverb G2 and the biggest limitation seemed the refresh rate (90hz only).
While driving the fasted car at high speed, i had some regular stutter which seemed to be loading a new zone. I will test further about this stuttering.
Seems like DLSS 3.0 need the new update so i will download it tonight and test tomorrow.
I will test later with the dedicated VR mod, real 3D should be more impacting than Z3D.
Outside VorpX, i tested Resident Evil 2 VR (Praydog mod) to try the raytracing version… it seems like the 4090 just don’t give a damn : 4k everything maxed out, even rendered the game at 130% in the lab, i don’t think i lost much FPS from 100%
Again, it seems that my headset’s refresh rate is the biggest limitation.
This was short tests sessions as i didn’t have much time after work.
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Black Mesa: Source (glitchy, but doable)
Dolphin Emulator – various Gamecube and Wii games
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Mad Max
Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2
Resident Evil 4 (not remake)
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 6
Sonic All Star Racing Transformed
Quake Champions
SoulCalibur VI
Sonic Adventure DX
So close yet so far :/
Well, I spent longer than I should have tinkering with this one but alas I could not get it perfect.
All of the profiles you mentioned hooked fine, but 3 had the same problem (no change when altering 3d effect or fov). And 2 of them geometry worked but was weird.
1 of them messed up the wall and floor textures and the other seemed almost perfect but had an odd effect where some things were just black silhouette but only in the right eye ?!
I did in fact try a bunch of other of your G3D profiles and to be honest it worked great, ….. however, objects a from a few meters aways seemed to blink in and out of existence (not sure if you have played Resident evil 4 on Dolphinvr, but it reminded me of that, buildings and stuff would appear out of nowhere when you turn your head).
Anywho, I will have another bash at it tomorrow, my head is broken at the mo.
I hope to be back tomorrow with better news, my glass is still half full damn it lol.
For me this would be a risky purchase. Unless I was super keen on this game I would wait for a discount sale to try it. Although you can use the steam refund program, if you can get your testing done before the 2 hour playtime mark.
I knew nothing of this game, but here is what I learned by briefly searching key words among the steam discussions.
-Unreal Engine 4 game (good)
-dx12 (bad)
-no mention of FOV increase options (bad)
-cockpit camera video looks like it may have very limited movement, locked to the horizon (bad)
dx12 is the major obstacle here, as we only have a handful of profiles to test with currently. I’ll just say that out of 4 unofficial dx12 games in my library, only 1 has worked with Z3D. And yes, dx12 is Z3D only at this point.
Here are the profiles I would try:
Grounded
CyberPunk 2077
Rdr2
Resident Evil Village
Horizon Zero Dawn
Death Stranding
Deathloop
Dying Light 2
And remember that the true exe for UE4 games are hidden inside the Binaries/Win64 folder and always end with the words “shipping.exe”
I am actually playing it myself at this moment and i am using a PS4 controller, which works flawlessly with Fallen Order as well with other games like Desperados 3, the Resident Evil 2 Remake etc.
Tried your ps5 controller with other games in vorpX? Probably a ps4 controller solves it after all.
RE7 just got a 54GB patch today that that upgrades the engine (presumably to what RE Village uses), upgrades to DX12 only which also requires Windows 10, and adds various things like 3D Audio, Ray tracing, etc.
Just thought I’d let people know as they may want to opt out of the patch.
Hello guys,
I got Vorpx and I don’t understand anything at all
I open vropx and run a RE Village profilethen run the game. thats all i do
game got so laggy , the graphics is so bad in the game , nothing is clear .
What graphics option I should use ? shall i adjust graphics settings just like normal monitor ?
I am using 2560×1440 and medium settings *my monitor resolution*
*ryzen 3600 + 3070 ti ,16gb ram
Anyone have any recommendations for games that work well with Dolphin/VorpX?
Here’s mine:
Super mario 64/sunshine
Star Fox 64 (though the stars appear on a layer too close to the player)
F-Zero GX
Resident Evil Code Veronica X (surprising how well it works)
Mario Kart (various)
Thought i’d make a list as iv’e been trying out some more games with VorpX:
1: Red Dead Redemption 2
2: Cyberpunk 2077
3: Prey (2017) & Mooncrash
4: Space Hulk Deathwing Enhanced Edition
5: Shadow Warrior 2
Games that i have not played yet but i have tested them with VorpX & they work good once i set the game & VorpX settings to my liking so will probably be added to my list once i have played more:
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
The Outer Worlds
Resident Evil 7
Chernobylite
