Topic: Saving settings
There seems to be a problem with saving profile settings on my machine after Vorpx is restarted.
I can go into a game (e.g skyrim) change some settings like for example the 3d mode to z-buffer. Quit the game, re-launch it and it seems to properly load the settings I have changed. However if I quit vorpx and launch it again it goes back to defaults of the skyrim profile. And yes, I am using ok&save button in the in-game vorpx menu.
What am I missing ? Is there any way I can save the changes I made to the profile permanently ?
I have Vorpx 16.2.0.0 and Oculus Rift.
I have tried running Vorpx as an administrator, but it still does not remember in-game profile settings. Can’t set Skyrim to texture quality max with GTX 1080 on 1280×1024
before, i had an GC AMD R9 280 and same issue
same thing on another game
but texture quality medium is ok for all gamesI have got Skyrim working very well. I find I enjoy playing in Z3D for exterior areas because having a high frame-rate is worth sacrificing true stereo rendering and most of the distant visuals are beyond significant stereo separation anyway.
However, I find in interiors I prefer to use geometry 3D because so many close objects/walls look way more real in true stereo 3D. So I usually switch to geo3D if I will be doing a long dungeon and switch to Z-3D when I am exploring exteriors or slaying dragons.
It would be really great if it was possible to switch Z3D to Geo3D without having to restart the program (I know this was possible in Oblivion). I believe I saw this suggestion before and it does not work due to different rendering requirements for Geo 3D. However, if there was an automatic way to restart the VorpX render method with the click of a button without going back out to windows that would be cool. Just thought I would throw the idea out there again. Same could apply to fallout4 or other open world games (I never played fallout 4 so I don’t know if the switch is possible in that game).Hi, I really love VorpX but there is just one issue that prevents me from being able to use the program.
I noticed that when I am playing skyrim (and probably other games too) when I am in the main non-cinema/cutscene mode (where HMD is zoomed into the screen so that you cannot see the borders) it does not zoom in centered. The crosshair is about 65% of the way up from the bottom rather than an even 50% from both top and bottom.
When I manually reduce the zoom for this mode, the bottom edge of the screen comes into view long before the top edge does.
Its really annoying to constantly be “looking up” to try and see what I am aiming at.Is there a way to adjust the X offset for the screen in this mode? I would love to physically lower the screen until it matches the center of my view.

Thanks.
Topic: Menus not working
Hi,
I am unable to get either ingame or vr hotkey menu to display on version 16.2.0 with the HTC Vive.
1. Run SteamVR
2. Start vorpX
3. Optimized game with “Game Settings Optimizer”
4. Launch Skyrim
5. Headtracking and able to EdgePeek
6. Pressor Shift+Mouse M
7. No menu displayed. Headtracking and EdgePeek no longer workingTopic: Skyrim CV1
First time vorpx/rift user here.
I launched using the optimized settings a freshly vanilla installed Skyrim, thinking that I should first set up vorpx then add some mods.
The issue is that I immediately got incredibly sick and in panic I pressed delete to try and change a few settings but I could only last 20 seconds before closing the game.
I reseted the profile and tried my chance again but this time I only had enough time to change the fov in game to 110 and disable mouse acceleration before having to close Skyrim.I read how people managed to do full play-through of the game on DK2, so I don’t think it is normal that I can’t last 20 seconds.
All the guides for Skyrim vorpx seem too out-dated for CV1.Are there some obligatory mods for CV1 skyrim that I must add before trying to enter again?
The guides I read are old and sometimes don’t list the same gui mods / immersive view mods so I am confused as to what I should chose.
Furthermore, shadows seemed to be a huge issue, so I should disable them inside some INI files first?
I’m looking for ways to try to improve the situation before having to log into the game again to modify vorpx settings to the best.
