Hi, TheBalt. Thanks for your answer. I was playing this game with vorpx more than one year ago. I got tired to wait for an official port, so I wanted to get back and play the game with vorpx. At the time, I was able playing with the touch controllers, using them basically as a gamepad (never had any other pretense). I’m just saying that now, when I enter the game the touch’s buttons seem like are not answering properly. In VR I cans see the virtual labels on the controllers. And they are recognized. The only problem is that they seems not interacting with the game.

Okay – my bad 4 misunderstanding.. then i genuinely dont know what a resolution would be… youve aready tried disabling known game overlays, on and off. Could be something with steam controller integration if overlay is allowed on?

sorry. just spitballing now cause i really am not sure, let me think about it a bit more and see if i can think of what else it might be, i dont have a rift s either so i cant run tests, running on cv1 with touch controllers

I’m also a big pinball addict ;-). I own 8 real machines and also built the front of a real pinball machine to play with visual pinball, but never tried the VR version because I thought it’s still in a very early “beta”. I’m not the guy which likes to fiddle around with 100 parameters till a game runs well (no idea if that’s needed with visual Pinball VR). To many other hobbies :P.
But native VorpX support for FX3 would be awesome.

Great idea, can’t believe I never thought of that. I have 25 or so real machines, plus many virtual pincabs so you could say I’m addicted to pinball. I run VPX in VR, which is awesome and everyone who like pinball should try it out. Will try FX3 later today. Thanks for the idea, hope it works

I know there’s a small VR version for FX2 pinball, but what about FX3 and the newly released Williams pinball tables. Would it be possible to release a VorpX profile for that game? To stand in front of a “real” pinball machine is an awesome feeling. There’s a thread on steam ( https://steamcommunity.com/app/442120/discussions/0/2592234299550848605/?ctp=11 ) where people beg for a VR DLC but nothing happens. I guess the developers are not interested in that. So the last hope would be VorpX. Let’s see and pray…

My problem with Rocket League is the white circle around the ball (appears when far from the ball): it’s not stereo and stays at screen depth, which heavily limits fov/scale/depth tweaking. I believe this circle is a shader thing because when enabling/disabling the High Quality Shaders option, it disappears (until I leave the menu then it’s visible again).

So anyone able to provide a VorpX profile or external program that hides this circle will be the recipient of 30€/$30 and my eternal gratitude.
Maybe this isn’t possible until the improved shader authoring method is available? No idea.
If you think you might be able to do it and you’re a trusted community member, but you don’t own the game, I can share my secondary Steam account’s library with you temporarily, or buy you a (grey vendor) key of the game if you actually want to keep it.

hello, i uploaded in the cloud a profile with the white circle removed, for free oviously :) tell me if it work

    Titanfall 2.
I have this issue with default settings. Gun zoomed to close

The default view through Oculus is zoomed to much. The Hand & Guns are right up to the eye. So zooming back out Shift / Mouse scroll to zoom out.
Seems it needs to be zoomed almost all the way out. For it to be accurate and scopes sights be accurate.
THE PROBLEM: When zooming all out(farther out, hand and guns go away from face) the HEAD tracking is warped. Zoomed all the way in the tracking is good. Is there a way to have both? Zoomed all the way out and have head movement accurate and not warped. Hope that makes sense.
6.) Latency, FPS is low..For my config , should be able to handle it. I have everything turned up running at 1080. Any recommendations for turning something off / tweak?

    My Specs;
    X-Arcade Dual TankStick w/ Trackball
    Oculus Quest
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 18362) (18362.19h1_release.190318-1202)

    Hi,

Titanfall 2 is the only reason I bought VorpX and it’s not useable.
A few things.. For those of you who have Titanfall 2 working flawlessly, could you post your VorpX titanfall 2 conig profile?

By default having a few problems.
Using the latest TF2 & latest VorpX as of this date.
Have a hefty system should handle it without problems.(will post specs at the bottom for reference)
1.) A VorpX message pops up in the beginning that it detected Xbox controller and VR controllers, it recommends turning off VR controllers in VorpX menu. Do not see that ANYWHERE.
2.) Had sound out to VR headset issues. Sound is fine outside of Titanfall, but once launched there is no sound.
3.) How do most play TF2? Using Xbox controller, KB, orVR controllers?
4.) Is there a community repository for game profiles?
5.) The default view through Oculus is zoomed to much. The Hand & Guns are right up to the eye. So zooming back out Shift / Mouse scroll to zoom out.
Seems it needs to be zoomed almost all the way out. For it to be accurate and scopes sights be accurate.

Hey thanks a bunch for the continued efforts guys. I’m making alot of noise on the forum and of course non-vr fanboys are getting pretty annoyed so this means alot to me. These devs dropped the ball considering they had made a near perfect VR game with subnautica number 1.

Using your head to look around in this title is not recommended. You’d need 90+ fps for that to feel good. This is one reason why the official profile recommends playing in immersive screen cinema mode. Until you’ve trained your VR-legs to accept mouse or controller input as head rotation instead, you should probably avoid FullVR mode in RDR.

FOV is another important factor that needs to be correct for a good experience. Too low and things will look too zoomed in and stretchy. Too high and you’ll start to get fish-eye look. If by huge arms you mean too close to your face, perhaps your have it too low. If by huge arm you mean it’s too long, you may have it too high.

Since the mod does not let us set specific number values, we have to eyeball it each session. I can’t say exactly for the Odyssey, but in my Reverb, it looks correct if I zoom out until Arthur’s shirt sleeve is barely visible as he is holding his pistol up. To do this, I run the mod exe after loading into the world, Press F3 in game to activate it, then hold F8 while looking down at the edge of my lens to see Arthur’s sleeve. Then when I turn camera, things in the world seem to move in proportion and the FOV feels natural.

Hand models wont always look perfect to scale, that is just the nature of game creation. But they look about right to me in RDR2. And no, they wont look perfect 3D, since they are so close to the camera. This is Z-buffer 3D, not true Geometric 3D as in other vorpX supported titles. So it may not look completely natural close up, but the overall scenery should give a good sense of depth. If your FOV is too low, the 3D effect will appear less. If FOV too high, 3D will look exaggerated.

So once again, if this is your first vorpX title, you may want to stick to the default cinema screen mode until you’ve tried better supported fullVR games to see how they are supposed to look and feel. Then you’ll have a good idea of settings you might use to revisit RDR in FullVR later.

I have the same card. Getting 35fps with probably much less resolution than yours. My headset is Vive Pro. 2400×2160? But should not I be using the native resolution of 2880×1600? or do i put in 1440 x 800? even? since that is per eyes.

I was thinking they will keep turning up the games resolutions higher than whatever is the latest headset and graphics cards can handle. Wondering if the 3080ti will put us ahead of RDRII in VR.

But right now in the vive pro it looks horrible. I see so many youtubes of people acting like they are in West World I dont get it. It looks like an arcade game of some dear hunter game or something in pizza joint in 2001. Put in another quarter?

This is not to take away from VorpX this is amazing. We are indeed lucky Ralph has taken this so far. The game companies just wont get off there A#@$Qs and make it happen. They could just make a look around head tracking, nothing else. Sad really coming from decades of gaming, seen it all can say the gaming companies really are dropping the ball. Suppose they are just waiting for graphics cards to be 20x more powerfull. decades from now.. VorpX at least give us a glimpse into the future.

    Hey all, wondering something:

I’m trying to play Portal 2. It’s apparently good out-of-the-box. I have a Valve Index and I’ve picked that headset as the default, so vorpX knows that’s what I’m using – but the FOV seems wildly off, and it just doesn’t look good at all. I’m wondering if I need to set the custom resolution.

Here’s my question, since I’m setting it globally (apparently), should it be set to my MONITOR’S resolution and refresh rate which is 1080p at 60hz (tv), or the HELMET’S resolution at 1440×1600, and 144hz refresh? Maybe doing this will make it look better, this is the first time I’ve tried the driver to get a non-native VR game to work.

How can I keep my controller settings with vorbX, for example when I played GTA V, Balltlefront 2 with gamepad or keyboard, I do not want the vorbX to dictate its occupancy, I rarely use the Oculus Touch Controller.

vorbX is slowly fun but constantly new problems, not suitable for a beginner

I also wonder why vorbX must be so complicated, that is a reason that many vorbX hate and talk bad, without this forum it looks much worse.
