What I did find out is that you can toggle edge peak by just doing a single fast click on the middle mouse button. Then go back to normal by tapping it again. For whatever reason I was under the impression the button had to be held down, and you can do it that way if you want. But toggling makes it a lot easier for games with a lot of menus such as Fallout 76 that you use a lot.
I guess there is not mch you can do. I am using TAB for pipboy and the key above for edgepeek which makes pipboy usage quite easy. This counts fopr Fallout4 but should work the same way in FO76.
Not right now, sorry. Sunday for me too. :) I’m a bit occupied with other things currently, but will check whether anything has changed recently that I would consider ‘literally falling apart’ and if so the profile will be updated before the next release.
If you changed any vorpX settings (especially if you raised the 3D-Strength value or changed something else 3D related), please reset the profile to its defaults in the config app. All settings are dialed in right per default to provide correctly scaled, realistic 3D.
Sometimes things appear on the extreme periphery of my vision. Usually this is menus of some sort. Anyway, what happens is I can’t tell what I’m clicking. I know you can click the middle mouse button to edge peak, but I’d like a way to adjust this a bit better.
This is most apparent in a game like Fallout 76. I can’t see like half the pipboy when I bring it up. You tend to use pipboy quite often in that game, so I’m looking for what settings I need to change to be able to see it better. It really isn’t optimal to use the edge peak button every time I open the pipboy.
1. not a bug. If vorpX sets an an .ini value, it does that for a reason. Can’t remember currently what that was in this case, the profile was done several years ago, but you can be certain it doesn’t happen out of the blue for no reason.
2. mmmh, played at least two or hours or so when I made the profile originally without encountering anything that I would describe as ‘literally falling apart’. If you have a savegame that shows what you mean, please send it to support at vorpx com.
3. doesn’t sound right. Please try to reset the profile to default, don’t crank every game setting up to ultra and go easy on the resolution.
Here are some more bugs (or are some of them features?):
1. Regardless of which anti-aliasing mode you choose, Vorpx rewrites the config to set it to “2.” The only way out here is to run the game without Vorpx, do the setup, run the game with Vorpx, disable rewriting the config, then change the anti-aliasing mode in the text editor (because if you do it in-game, FC4 will set the refresh rate to 60 and Vorpx will black-screen).
2. With G3D, the bloom layer has an incorrect depth, and the picture is literally falling apart. I’ve got the same problem in Need For Speed, but obviously not in Quake4 and other older games which don’t make use of post-processing.
3. G3D FPS is horrendous. I get 120 FPS on ultra-high without Vorpx; 28 FPS with Vorpx (identical config). I can understand Vorpx halving the FPS, I can understand a small injection penalty (let’s say -10 FPS?), which would bring me down to 50. But 28? It’s literally unplayable on my rig.
Not really sure, the game should actually run at 90fps without much problems even with vorpX, at least an unmodded Fallout NV.
Bethesda games store the FOV in save games. Since vorpX raises the FOV (costs FPS) to match the headset FOV going back to an earlier savegame might be worth a shot.
All changes vorpX made to .ini files can be restored in the config app under ‘Restore Game Settings’ (provided you didn’t delete the backups vorpX created already).
I had the idea of trying to play FNV with VorpX, but it didn’t work for some reason. The reason I’m here though is that after failing to get it to work, I disabled it to just play without it. Now, the problem is that my FPS which used to be in the 90-120 range, now barely gets above 20.
What could have caused this?
I have tried:
reinstalling FNV
Deleting all possible .ini files (both in my documents and in the game folder)
Restarted and totally turn my computer off an back on again.
G3D might not work at the moment, but Z3D is looking fantastic (and I normally prefer G3D if available and my system can handle it) and performance is great.
How is everyone playing Cyberpunk? Right now I’m playing it sitting, but eventually I’d like to play it standing with a wireless controller or Vive wands like I did Fallout New Vegas.
My Initial Thoughts:
You need the LATEST VorpX patch for this to work and the game now has a DEFAULT profile that works out the box.
There is no 3D geometry yet but Z3D works really well.
I would rate this game in VorpX along with Halo 4 and Titnafall 2!
I see, that clearly is not how it’s supposed to be. Whether the message is shown is defined by a flag in the profile, so under normal circumstances it should be always shown when the game is launched with Z3D originally. Maybe there is some odd bug, I’ll check whether I can replicate that here somehow.
As far as the still active shadows are concerned: sounds as if not all relevant shaders are defined in the profile. Would be great if you could send a savegame from a location that shows the issue to support |at| vorpx com. The savegame folder per default is C:\Users\[Your User]\Saved Games\Respawn\JediFallenOrder\
