Not OP but I tried out tomb raider 2013 and it definitely had this issue with shadows and it was with the default profile.
Does this game not run in G3D in directx 11?
Also the shadows look completely off, they don’t appear correctly in 3D or whatever plane they’re on is wrong, is this a known issue ? It’s really distracting and hard to play when all the shadows throw me off.
This is the only game i’ve tested so far great except the shadows issue.
Yep, downloaded too, backlogging both for now, I’m still on Tomb Raider 2013, Rise of Tomb Raider, Witcher 2 and Remember Me. Feel free to recommend more of your favorite 3rd person games pls since many sites are on sale right now.
I got DAO Ultimate at GOG for 5 dollars.

@ distant lol DA:O Ultimate edition is only 7.49 on steam. No pressure, but it is totally worth it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/47810/Dragon_Age_Origins__Ultimate_Edition/
Just a heads-up that Tomb Raider [2013] not only gets fixed Z3D, but also newly added Geometry 3D with the next update.
I´ve been playing tis game and it´s amazing.
It´s like a native one.
Congrats for your work ralph and I hope you can do the same with Raide and Sadow of the tomb raider

I tried with several games (Tomb Raider 2013 had weird 3D, two flat layers offset from each other) and so far whatever options I choose for stereo doesn’t seem to have any effect. Life is Strange: Before the Storm is on the list of officially supported games with stereo 3D and yet there is zero stereoscopy.
I have a Geforce 1050 Ti. LiS:BtS is the Steam version. Tried on vorpX versions 18.1.5 and 18.2.5.
Make sure to run Bioshock in DirectX 9 mode by adding -dx9 to the launch options in Steam. With DX9 you get full Geometry 3D. You should see a notification stating that when you start the game. Tomb Raider 2013 is Z3D only currently.
hello..
i have problems with the instructions, my english is too bad :-)
1. I have copy the tombraider(2013)-profil, set the Checkbox “keep game-specific options”. with this the game start in vorpx/rift (withou the SBS-Option in the image-settings-tab. But when i add the rottr.exe in the excluded programms, the game didn´t start in vorpx/rift.
2. In my Steam-Options i have disabled the three checkboxes, within the Steam-Overlay, Big-Picture and the desktop-theater. is that right!?
3. Tomb Raider Option are the same with the instruction
4. In the vorpx-settings i don´t have the option “Content-type”, see point 1
I hope my text is half-way right :-) and someone can help me!?
I use win7 with intel core i7, 32gb ram and a gtx970

3- Tomb Raider 2013 – Failed to Start with Vorpx Watcher enabled.
Just played that couple of days ago, and worked fine just like before, I too have problems with some games. Bioshock2 crashes quite fast on my computer, and getting black screen treatment on games like Risen but I have to try to troubleshoot these by disabling non essential software.
What I would like to see in the supported games list is the 3D mode that the profile supports (without any big graphical issues) so I could know in advance what to expect, for example
Metro 2033 (geometry)
Tomb Raider (z-normal)
…

I appreciate the response and what you are saying but I am not talking about optimizations.
Simply put the hook itself is not working with CV1.
Ignoring Bioshock 1 which I have an unusual problem of only 25% of the screen displaying which could be something else entirely I am seeing injections that simply aren’t working.
1- Bioshock 2 the process terminates a couple of seconds after launching, pause the watcher and the game works fine.
2- Arma 3 ignoring battleeye by running the arma3.exe we see a black display in the headset, pause the watcher and it works perfectly on the monitor.
3- Tomb Raider 2013 – Failed to Start with Vorpx Watcher enabled.
Can you really say these games are supported if it doesn’t actually work?
I completely understand if you were to say “Well Arma 3 is because the game developers patched it and it stopped working”. That makes sense but then why is it still on the supported list?
It’s become a standing joke in our office to check off each game on the Vorpx “supported” list as not supported on the Oculus Rift CV1.
yeah any game where you can’t increase the FOV I would say doesn’t work with vorpx, setting letterbox 2 is basically now just like a monitor.
similar situation with Tomb Raider 2013, can’t wind anyway to increase the Field of view at all.
any advice at all to get this working, seems to inject fine and vorpx even says DX11 only which is fine, however there is no way I can see to increase the FOV in the game, will vorpx have support for geometry 3D in this game to enabled to 3D FOV enhancer?
