    XCOM2 – Z-Normal –

    Although it was a game using Unreal Engine, this game did not become three-dimensional in the profile of Unreal Engine.

    I don’t know what profile(s) you tried, but it is G3D Compatible with Bioshock Infinite.

    Update Feb 16. 2021

    Unreal Tournament 2004 (DGVoodoo2 v 2.6) – G3D

    This is a quick hack, so be aware. Very first screen has a missing shader but the game it self looks good. The advantage of this profile is that you can choose any custom resultion so you can play FUll VR with superb graphics quality.

    – Note: This is a quick hack
    – Make settings before start !
    – DGVoodoo2 v2.6 required !
    – Use Full Sreen (gamesttings)
    – Force resolution w. DGVoodoo2
    – Optimized for cinema modes
    – Full VR vailable
    – Profile available at the cloud

    Hey all. There were only a few threads here and on the googles for Antichamber and getting it to work with good FOV. Below are the few steps you need to do.

    Firstly, make sure you run the game at least once as it installs stuff the first time you run it.

    Even though Antichamber is officially supported, it uses the “Unreal Engine 3” profile – so if you already use another game with vorpx that uses this profile, I would suggest first copying that profile and make a new one. The folder with the UDK.EXE file to use is located in:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\Binaries\Win32\UDK.exe

    NOTE: If you don’t have any games using that profile, you can’t actually create a custom profile because antichamber binds to it when you first launch it with vorpx open.

    Next, to get Antichamber working with a proper FOV, you need to enable the console by editing ini file in notepad, and changed the fov to around 125 in game.

    DefaultInput.ini:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\UDKGame\Config

    Find the following lines in DefaultInput.ini:
    ConsoleKey=None
    TypeKey=None
    Put a semicolon in front of each of these lines so that they now look like:
    ;ConsoleKey=None
    ;TypeKey=None
    Save the file

    I would next suggest setting your resolution here, as for some reason because it’s running in 4:3 for the VR headset, it doesn’t show all the possible resolutions.

    In the same folder as the DefaultInput.ini, there’s a file called DefaultEngine.ini.

    At the bottom you will see [SystemSettings]
    Change the ResX and ResY to what you want as the resolution – I have a Valve Index headset, and I set it to my recommended resolution of 130%, or:

    ResX=2296
    ResY=2552

    I did notice a slight difference if I set it lower, so I keep it at that.

    Open the game, and press the ~ (tilde) key, then type:

    fov 125

    You may need to play around with a number, but for me 125 is great.

    I don’t know why, but the normal “SaveConfig” UDK3 command does not work..so you will have to type “fov 125” in console each time you open the game.

    Not a huge deal to be able to play the game in VR imho!

    I hope this helps anyone out with this awesome game!

    Hi,
    I know it has been a while since the original post, but when I am looking for the UT 2004 profiles in Cloud profiles, I cannot find them. There are other Unreal/UT related profiles but the UT 2004 profiles seem to be gone. Have they been removed? Any recommendations to play UT 2004 with VorpX?

    Thanks,
    Michael

    This is a list of dx11 games.
    https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_DirectX_11_games

    Unreal Engine and Unity games usually work well with vorpx so you may want to try one of those. Bioshock Infinite, most if not all of the Batman games, Borderlands 3…most games published after 2014 are dx11.

    Again, the api used may or may not be relevant – at one point I couldn’t hook dx9 games but dx11 worked. Game overlays can cause similar problems, so I’d suggest just a quick test to see if it’s a general problem.

    Unreal engine, dx12 by default but dx11 can be activated with a command line switch or maybe in the steam launcher (I have the GOG version). RDR2 profile works for dx12, I tried Conan Exiles with dx11 and got G3D, but there was a lot of shader flickering. Probably a different profile would work better, but I haven’t had a chance to look any further.

    It out in EA, but without vr support. Anyone know if a profile would work for this?
    Looks like Unreal engine perhaps.

    Games only render what player sees obviously to save resources. When you hack fov with vorpx it only hacks camera fov, doesnt tell game engine fov should be wider so game just doesnt render past its original fov. Maybe old game rendering pipeline is tied to camera so they react better when vorpx hacks it.

    So you should always look for ways to increase games fov via other ways. For modern games usually there are few methods:

    Setting files, especially for unreal engine games. Unreal games also have this https://framedsc.github.io/GeneralGuides/universal_ue4_consoleunlocker.htm to add console back (press ~ and type fov 120 after it hooks to a game)

    And then there are specific fov mods for some games that people have coded, that dont just do it like vorpx, but make game fully aware fov is being increased. Generally I recommend searching games name in here https://www.pcgamingwiki.com or googling “gamename fov mod”

    Wide fov and high res are 2 of the most important things to get right to enjoy games with vorpx.

    @IanM
    Hi,
    With which settings did you make it in
    Jurassic World Evolution to generate real geometical 3D ??
    Is this program Reshade with SuperDepth3D ???
    Can you post your settings for Reshade SuperDepth3D here … ?? … I can only get flat 2D … with many other games it works great with Depth3D … with VorpX there is no profile, no 3D only 2D Flat …
    I’m desperate, hope you can help me … Thank you for your efforts in advance.

    @Ralf
    Have tried a few Unreal 4 game profiles, but none of them generate G3D or Z3D with Jurassic World Evolution.

    @IanM
    shows on his YouTube channel that it still works with G3D.
    Here the link:

    Maybe you can help too, that would be nice.

    3D greetings
    from Hamburg
