Topic: Trial version or demo videos
Hi,
I’m looking into buying vorpX, as I would love to play World of Warcraft in 3D.
I have already tried TriDef 3D Ignition, where I got everything but head tracking to work (the reason I’m here). But before I buy I would like to see how well vorpX this actually works. When I move my head, how does it look?
Also another VERY important point is that sometimes you have to read text and this text is usually glued to one of the sides. In TriDef 3D Ignition it’s almost impossible to read the text and the text that is glued to the side can only be seen with one eye (extremely annoying).
So, how did you solve this issue? Do you detect that something is 2D text or do you allow the user to pan the oculus rift view (I.E. like the game is a plane that you are moving right or left)?Since vorpX supports World of Warcraft, you must have tried it. If you could upload those videos to youtube then those of us thinking of buying these products can go there and take a look on our oculus rift’s. You have some videos up, but they don’t really show anyone playing the game, but just moving around.
A trial version would also solve this problem (and let us feel secure that it will work before buying, especially with the amount of bug reports I see in this forum). If this works, I will be in here to sign up in no time, very reasonable price! :)
Thanks,
ManuelGood Morning
I bought vorpx yesterday and started to follow the introduction on the documentation but when I start a game like World of Warcraft notthing happend.
Next I tried to create a shortcut with the Vorpx config but when I try to start it the programm says: “Please Start Vorpx Control before using Vorpx Shortcut” but Vorpx control is running, virus scan is disabled…
Please help

Howdy!
I have just received my key for VorpX, and while I’m very happy with it already, I seem to have noticed that, at least in World of Warcraft, when Head Tracking is enabled, my cursor moves with my head. Which is quite annoying.
However, with Head Tracking disabled, I can’t use Edge Peek anymore, which is something I’m really a fan of.
Is it currently already possible to have Edge Peek without the mouse tracking?

I just wanted to say i like the start so far, its not perfect and to be honest not quite what i had hoped but…..its not bad for a beta and i like the features so far. I tried out a few games, arma 2, skyrim, and world of warcraft 3.3.5. I found that in the recommendations of using 1280 x 960 resolution that seems to work the best as far as having a correct aspect ratio. But as others have pointed out the Feild of view is rather small in most games. it helps in games that you can adjust the feild of view. a tip with World of Warcraft is to download the wow machinima tool and use the fov slider on that (but that seems to reset whenever you hit a loading screen) and the 3d depth in world of warcraft doesnt seem that good yet. but i think so far not a bad driver set, head tracking also sometimes feel like it sways a bit side to side at a angle but..im sure it will be worked out in the future. :-) thanks for releasing it and i hope feedback will provide lots of help for improvements!
:-)
