Has anyone had luck getting vorpX to attach to games using Steam? I tried installing vorpX in the same Proton installation folders as Tomb Raider 2013 and Cyberpunk 2077 and can not get the games to launch even with Steam VR active.
DOH, there was a CET hotfix last night that I missed

Will try again
Hey… I am having exactly the same problem and people keep suggesting the standalone mode, but this is not only happening with Cyberpunk 2077 but also with games like Battlefront Star Wars… I get a 200% zoom image every time… changing FOV in the game and in VORPX is useless… Because of this games are unplayable… did you find a get around for this, please? People keep suggesting the standalone mod which I used, but Battlefront has no vr mod and seems as zoomed in…

Cyberpunk 2077
Death stranding
I would try Grounded and Resident Evil Village first, followed by Death Stranding, CyberPunk, and RDR2.
I use a kiwi cable,with USB 3…i must try with a usb2 Port…
The problem Is only with cyberpunk in vorpx
Hi
– Cyberpunk 2077 (with VR mod, it was the main reason why I bought vorpX), but played maybe 1 hour, because it zooms view and very uncomfortable. Tried change settings but didn’t get good result.
Try to change 3D reconstruction mode from DirectVR to Z-normal. I have a very bad feeling with DirectVR, but it is really nice with Z-normal (even if 3D is slightly less nice). I don’t play in FullVR mode, but rather in Immersive mode with Mouse/KB/PAD. I use a 4:3 resolution, and ajust the screen zoom to be on the edge of my left/right vision.
– Fallout 76, same as Cyberpunk 2077;
I don’t play Fallout 76, but my Fallout 4 setting are similar to Cyberpunk.
I have not tried other games yet.
i play to cyberpunk 2077 with vorpx, and with my new quest 2, i have a good play, but sometimes there is a stuttering for 3\4 seconds, and i think that is for my cable connection with pc…
how to fix it?
with air link, i have bad play…
Hi all,
I’m playing Cyberpunk with the latest patches.
I have an RTX 3080, and my computer can easily sustain 45 FPS in VR with 90Hz mode on my PICO 4.
I was using Vorpx 21.3.3, and playing the game with a resolution in game of 1920×1080 with Z-normal. The 3D effect was working fine. However when I tried to add custom resolutions and go up to 2880×2160 (something close to the native resolution of my PICO 4), then the Z-normal or Z-adaptative stopped working. I experimented a little bit and found that for resolutions that higher than my native 2560×1080 screen resolution, Z-normal and Z-adapative are ineffective.
I downloaded the last beta version, and happily found that the DirectVR option is there. Unfortunetly it is not playable when turning with the mouse, both screen seems not synchronized perfectly and the screen is almost unreadable during such movement. I have looked around other topics but nothing clear appears (FPS are still 45 at 90Hz). That’s sad because the immersion is fantastic when just contemplating the world.
Ok so back to Z-normal or Z-adapative, nothing works better than the previous version. So I have to choose between being short-sighted or in a flat world.
Does anyone already noticed such behavior? Is there anything to do ?
Thanks
I like VR games and just stereoscopic games (that’s why I bought vorpX). But unfortunatelly, I have a lot of difficulties using vorpX with my Meta Quest 2. Actually, I didn’t play even a single game without problems from the very beginning. Currently, vorpX looks completely useless.
I tried:
– Cyberpunk 2077 (with VR mod, it was the main reason why I bought vorpX), but played maybe 1 hour, because it zooms view and very uncomfortable. Tried change settings but didn’t get good result.
– Fallout 76, same as Cyberpunk 2077;
– Today I’ve tried Dragon Age: Origins – it crashes immidiatelly.
I have several games that I want to play in stereoscopic mode (or pseudo VR), but I can’t rid of this feeling: the more games I try, the more disappointment I get from vorpX. Because I literally spent hours to make it work and lost these battles every time.
Next I’m going to try Assassin Creed Odyssey…
I tried turning off DLSS and RT but still no go.
Still end up with non responsive title screen ( only displaying on desktop ) with the headset just showing the Vorpx intro menus with a small cyberpunk loading icon in the corner.
Interesting when i change between gamepad and keyboard to try pass the title splash the game recognises and changes UI on desktop screen to say press space to continue / press ‘a’ to continue in audio is still playing, so game hasnt appeared to crash entirely , i just can’t continue.
my specs:
Reverb G2 (cyberpunk VR config set to Open XR )
Win 10
5820k
rtx 3080
24GB RAM
I was constantly crashing before even landing on the main menu with either “Cyberpunk has flatlined” errors or Vorpx “DX12” errors. When I finally got those errors fixed, the game was blurry AF and jittery.
Here are some things I did to get it to run / run better on Quest w/Nvidia GPU –
– Make sure you have the latest version of the mod
– Make sure your game is patched
– Update your graphics driver, I got CTD’s until I did this
– Turn off DLSS or you’ll get DX12 errors and CTD before even getting to the menu. If you already installed the mod then uninstall it (temporarily), go to ->windows settings -> add/remove programs -> uninstall the mod. Then load the game (mod free) and turn DLSS off. Reinstall the mod and it should be fine
– In the Vorpx ingame menu (DEL), turning off “3D Reconstruction” made a hugely significant improvement to image quality and jitters
It’s because the technology for 3D in Cyberpunk isn’t there yet. Perhaps a 5060Ti will be able to make it run but as it stands the graphics cards at the moment aren’t going to be able to spit out that G3D experience for you.
Might I interest you in the Mechwarrior 5 VR app while you wait? Also My Time At Portia works amazingly well in Vorpx as does Rebel Galaxy .
Hey! It has been a long time but I am having the same issue… The standalone mod for Cyberpunk stopped working, so I went ahead and purchased full VORPX… It does hook and load, but the image seems all cropped and different from how it looked in the Mod… Did you ever got to solve this problem, please?
