you never reinstalled vorpx before ?
typically when you reinstall windows, when you reinstall vorpx, you are being asked to enter a key to activate it, you get a request key code which is linked to your email you used when buying vorpx. it usually only takes a few minuts to get the new key.

get that new download link to download vorpx then start it and request a new key by writing an email to the support, make sure you provide activation request code + email you used to buy vorpx.

I just got Rift S, and was before playing Skyrim SE. Don’t feel like buying the SkyrimVR and messing with mods again. I’ve been looking through forum posts and can’t seem to find any “all-in-one” post that would show how to get Skyrim SE working through VorpX. I did get VorpX installed and it seems to be injecting, but the game only shows on my monitor screen with VorpX logo on the bottom and nothing in the Rift S headset.

    I use 4K monitor. RTX 2080, 32GB RAM and a good i7 8000 series CPU, SSD M.2.

Oculus works fine. When VorpX tries to inject (all latest versions), it sometimes crashes the driver, and even Oculus interface stops showing in the Headset. I have to restart PC to resolve that. I believe before you could reset the headset in the Oculus settings, but I cant see that setting now.

Can someone please point me to a good thread/link, that explains
    1. how to properly inject Vorpx into Skyrim SE? Seems to be obvious, but it doesn’t seem to be injecting. I know I need to disable GeForce Experience and probably switch to a single monitor. I can do that. Anything else?
    2. what custom resolution should I set on my monitor that would be good for my PC specs and provide smooth gamplay
    3. what VorpX settings are preferred for Skyrim SE, I tried one profile, but something wasn’t right.
    4. are there any VR specific mods I need to get for Skyrim SE to make the game more enjoyable through VorpX. I currently have about 200 mods, but they are not VR related.
    5. Will the Oculus touch controllers work in VorpX, or do I have to download a mod
    6. Will the force feedback work for controllers, or do I need a mod. I know there are some heptic mods for controllers, but those mods are for SkyrimVR
    7. Any other recommendations, I would greatly appreciate.

I’ll do some more forum browsing, as much as work will allow me, but I’d definitely appreciate some guidance on the above.

    Much thanks in advance!
Also, I am really glad that Ralf keeps pushing the envelope further. Bought VorpX in 2016, so big kudos for constantly improving the VorpX.

I noticed this when switching between my rift and Pimax4k a lot, which is why I formerly uploaded duplicates of many profiles. It made me wonder what WMR and Vive see when using those profiles. So yes, it would be nice if there could be parity across the headsets, which I’m sure was intended from the start.

I always use under 1.0 to improve resolution, fov, and cut waste. So looks like I have some work to do :). It’s fun to revisit profiles anyway. I imagine they could still be improved.

    A few questions/thoughts then:

    1. I know we can reupload originals, but any copies made are uploaded as unique. Is there a way for us to remove old profiles?

    2. Not sure I have all the originals after some vorpX reinstalls. I’m guessing downloading our own to reupload again wouldn’t replace either. Correct?

    3. I also wonder if displaying the upload date would be useful. We see which vorpX version it was based from, but often custom profiles are copied from older ones and those numbers don’t always express how current the profile was uploaded/tested. I know we can write the date in description, but not many will do that.

    4. We’ve mentioned before the cloud timeout bug that requires an app restart. I think this is why we see so many blank profile descriptions on there. People take more than 3 minutes to write, then they press upload and assume it went through. I learned long ago to copy everything and check for resubmit. This may be worth fixing.

    5. Lastly and less importantly: A way to view profile descriptions localy. I wonder if there can’t be a small link or button on the Local Profiles page that can open a popup (error message) box displaying profile description data of the selected profile. This way you don’t need to worry about where to place it in the app structure, and users won’t need to log in and search the cloud again. Though I still think a page in the delete key menu for notes would be cool, I understand you try to keep it minimal.

Just ideas of course. Thanks for sharing your findings.

    Battle Grounds III (G3D)

This standalone revision of the old Half-life 2 mod has just released this week for free on steam. The long ago fight “For honor and glory!” vs “Freedom!” resumes this Independence day week, and is playable with vorpX G3D. See Steam page to watch the trailer and download link.

I had to force some extra FOV Enhancement, and the weapon model 3D strength doesn’t quite match the 3D world, but the rest is looking fine. Kind of fun to run around in for a couple hours, among the chaos and hilarity. I Put some settings on the cloud for anyone to use.

    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)

*check BG3 Options in game to minimize crosshair and HUD elements
*for some reason Q is default to aim, so rebind in Options
*default is cinema fullscreen for Pimax8k, Rift may look better in fullvr

Can’t get vorpx to attach to The Surge here. Downloaded the profile for it. Vorpx hooks into other games I have, like Kingdoms of Amalur, STALKER: Call of Pripyat, or Titan Quest.

I am sure the profile is working, when I attempt to make a new profile and attach it to TheSurge.exe I get the error message that there is already a profile attached to that.

It doesn’ even attempt to attach when I’m booting the game. I have a Lenovo Explorer (WMR), which I use with a USB Headset and an XBOX 360 controller (wired).

I run Windows Mixed Reality Portal, Steam VR on top (which also starts up Revive), then I run VorpX. VorpX is set to link into Steam VR. Game is on Steam, so Steam is running in background.

I have Steam Overlay disabled, Nvidia Experience overlay disabled, Windows gaming whatever-its-called xbox bs overlay disabled, BitDefender Shield is my AV, which I disabled for 1 hr before attempting to run. Also GPU Tweak and GII Monitor, I have task killed before trying to run the game.

All I’ve got left on my task bar are Rainmeter, Bluetooth Devices, GTX 1050 Ti Display (that thing for switching what GPU games run on), Steam, Steam VR, Revive, VorpX control, SpaceDesk (disabled), and the lovely windows security icon to tell me my computer will explode since my AV is off.

When I run the game the “attaching to” dialog never even shows up. Any idea what could be stopping VorpX from attaching?
