As I noob here, I finally able to get ACE 7 going like the one shown on youtubes. (Just played the 2nd mission. this is about 70% of PSVR version in terms of VR)
There maybe better way, but it took me 2 days to get it going. I am using Quest Link to PC.

1)Play the game on 2D monitor and get thru 1st mission so you get the free 1st mission, which you can use to test your setting while setting things up.
2)I had to keep the keyboard, gamepad, and touch controller handy nearby to navigate when one controller cant control certain aspect of the menu.

3)Setup FOV using Hex: (Vorpx does not have this function for this game)

PSA! How to change FOV in Ace Combat 7.
    byu/ChoPT inacecombat

Note: If you set it the first time and close the program, your hex will change but you can search again using “D8F57F” then highlight the hex before it, the value will show up again and you can change it. Just read thru it, the poster done a great job there. My is set to 0.013 and save it.

    4)Set up your Vorpx Menu

Simple setup (My slight variation to poster)
    1. Download cloud game profile “ACE COMBAT (REDDIT)” VorpX
    2. Apply game profile and run VorpX
    3. Run Ace combat.
    5. Set ingame setting, “Mouse aircraft/camera control” to “On” under “Option>>>Mouse”.
    6. Open in-game VorpX menu: “DEL” key.
    7. Adjust Head tracking to around “.30”
    8. Adjust Image zoom to around “.75”
    9. Set Control to “Gamepad” not “KB”(Default)
    10. Save and Close
    NOTE:
    a. You will need to familiarize (trial and error) how to navigate using gamepad, touch controller, keyboard to get thru the steps.
    b. I did not have to PERMANENTLY KEEP “LAlt” pressed, the head tracking works using gamepad. If you are using touch controller you may need to. I have other problem with touch controller (I can’t pitch up and down), so I use gamepad.
Note: I found both gamepad and touch controller can’t navigate thru all the menus whether it is vorpx menu or in game menu so you may need the keyboard from time to time.

    5)
You should able to game with gamepad, but I need to use touch controller to EDGE PEEK.

You maybe need to restart few times as navigation can be a bitaach, just close the vorpx and the game, yah take off your headset included and restart etc.

    Good Luck!

I hope Computer Savy guys here should write Simple Guide for Noobs here more often.

Should be fixed now. Since your license wasn’t activated yet, it wasn’t added to the license database. Hence the server did not recognize your download request as valid.

If you still did not receive a link, please let me know.

BTW: You should also have gotten a download link from MyCommerce, both as e-mail and directly after the purchase process.

I bought the product last week, I have activation code, in my email, but there was no download link, including spam and promotions folders. Tried requesting a new download link several times as well (entered the same gmail address as during purchase) as reaching out to support. Kinda regret buying it now, since the experience of having a combination of questionable distribution system + unresponsive support is the same as being scammed.

    Hi,

when you have installed the fixmanager, then you also need to start any compatible game via the fixmanager.
The manager will detect your installed Games and you will find then the list in the left section.
When you choose one game, there are 3 Options then : “Play 2D” “Play 3D” “Install 3D Fix”
Make sure that 3D is activated in the right corner above.
It will also automaticaly enable if its not activated.
The fixmanager installs an “modified custom 3D Nvidia Vision driver, this is why everything will be controlled by the fix manager.

So it will only start in 3D Mode, when you start a game via the Fixmanager.

Also i recommend to download the “RivaTuner Statistics Server” for accessing all features of 3D Fix Manager.
This eliminates micro stuttering, reduces input lag and improves frametimes for stereo 3D mode.
You find it also under the Fixmanager download link.

This is how to get Side by Side:

    In the manager go to:

Settings –> Display Profiles –> Monitor Profile

Tick the Box: “Preferred 3D Format” and set it to “Side by Side”.
In default its set to Regular 3D Vision Frame Sequential

I also recommend to enable in

Settings –> Nvidia 3D Settings –> Advanced Hotkeys, so you can control the convergence, which is a must, to make the 3D Effect really good. The best is, when the character pops out a little bit.

In game via CTRL + F3 (best to hold the keys) you can decrease the 3D depth
with CTRL + F4 you increase the strenght.

CTRl + ALT + F11 is like changing to Z3D/G3D

The fixmanager also offers 3 differtent Profiles, Monitor, Beamer and TV.
i would recommend to set there also all to SBS via ticking the box.

In Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain, when you use any hotkey you will get feedback by changing the 3D Strength.
In the Darkness 2 (DirectX9) you dont get any feedback, but it works.

In case the game is not in SBS 3D, press CTRL+ T to enable or disable it manually.

U dont need to install any more or something the fixmanager will automatically install all requred drivers. So it will automatically install the correct 3D fix for Directx9 and so on. You only need to start the game via the manager.

An unsecured http link to unknown file that has no information on any search engine and invites you to extract it and run it on your hard disk.

Do not be foolish and download this.

This is the real-life equivalent of not washing your hands.

    Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (G3D)

Vegas 2 has even more restricted FOV than the first, so a mod is needed. The mod pushes hand models a bit further out than I wanted, but it is still passable. Much less pop-in though thanks to the mod.

    **Requires FOV 90 mod download:
(see post below, only one link per post allowed)

put CameraConfig.uppc from 90 folder into:
    Rainbow Six Vegas 2\KellerGame\CookedPC\Packages\Camera

    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440, 3840×2160)
    – turn off motion blur in game Video Settings

    *Scalable HUD, also affects scopes
    *Tested on HP Reverb

There should still be an Oculus option. If it is missing for some reason, try a reinstall.

Ya.. i lost my download link so gonna have to request a new one. But ya, it just has SteamVR, Generic VR Headset, and Generic 3D Display as my options in the drop down box, no Oculus. Ill send a ticket for a new download, thanks ralf!

No worries.. honestly the program is amazing but you need to work WITH it to get the most out of it – my recommendation, for now – would be to start with one of the “fully supported” games on the Vorpx list here:

    Supported Games

ok, so ANY game you want to play on Vorpx – Launch it ON IT OWN first, many games do not ‘create’ their configuration files until after they are launched, like when you install a game on steam, it installs 99.99% of the files for the game except for the configuration files, those get ‘created’ when the game is launched the first time (for the most part, this isnt 100%, but just follow these instructions to make your life easier)

So, launch any newly downloaded games WITHOUT Vorpx first. Let it get into its menu screen and exit out. Start Vorpx, Launch it again with Vorpx, then Vorpx will be able to access the config files for that game and make its necessary adjustments to them (its doing alot of work in the background with field of view and stuff that youll have no clue its doing)

Now the games on the list i sent you should, i believe, in the Vorpx In Game Menu – in your headset, default key to access it is DEL; or on your controllers itll usually be “click in left stick” or right stick to access the Vorpx in game menu, again, the Vorpx in game menu will be IN your headset only, the vorpx program for the profiles and stuff will be on your PC… but in the Vorpx game menu should be an option for “DirectVR Scan” or it might just be called DirectVR. 9/10 this will successfully run and change all settings in those games to make them look good in Vorpx and adopt true “3d”.

Now if youre having trouble with performance, Vorpx has three 3d modes. the most significant and “closest to real vr” one is Geometry 3d. Geometry 3d essentially renders the game twice and most the time gives you full ability to lean forward/back/left/right/up/down, like a “REAL” VR game. This comes at some performance cost tho cause- yeah, youre basically running the game ‘twice’ to get this effect.

For you tho – since it sounds like you just want to turn the headtracking stuff off entirely, theres two other 3d modes that do not have nearly the performance hit – you will still ‘see things in the distance/arrows look like theyre coming AT you’, but doesnt have the full movement of a VR game with your head, those are called ZAdaptive and ZNormal.. for you, these will get you the best performance and results for your buck and arent EXTREMELY taxing on hardware by any means, like geometry 3d can be for certain games. this will be an option in the vorpx in game menu as well.

But, while we are on the topic, most of the profiles link the Vorpx Menu button to to the left stick click, this is sometimes a problem for games, when you get into the Vorpx in game menu, scroll thru the settings til you find the page that lists like stuff about Xbox controllers, there should be an option there for “switching” the Vorpx menu buttons to your Start/Select buttons. Basically itll make it so if you TAP Select/Start, itll do the Vorpx action of bringing up the Vorpx in game menu and if you HOLD the button in, itll bring up your typical ‘pause’ screen.

Sorry for the rant, but really, if you get set up later and wanna get on mic on steam and ask me to help you out, ill jump into a vorpx game and go thru the settings with you over Steam mic chat to give you a quick rundown and get you up and running with a game youll enjoy.

for the ‘first go’ – id really recommend picking a game on that list, just to make things easier and so you can see what the program CAN do, when optimized properly.

My biggest suggestion, from the real list, if you want a good first person game would probably be dishonored 1 or 2 or the bioshock games. If you want something third person, Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Darksiders 3 and the Surge all work great. If you wanted to chat about it later my steam name is Baltar777 , go ahead and add me if you like and let me know when youre on and ill try to talk you thru some of it.

Its an amazing program, there are so many haters out there on it but they just didnt take the time to actually understand the program. I wish it was SUPER SIMPLE, which DirectVR does make it pretty close to super simple, but, you still need to know what buttons to press and menus to go into before you get up and running – Vorpx has an explanation on all this in the actual program that will be on your PC.. but it can be daunting. If you wanted to talk to me and me just walk you thru it, we can totally do that.

So take a look at that list and see if theres a particular game on there youre interested in trying as a ‘first go’ and im down for helping if you need it, just add me on steam

The link is sent automatically, usually within a few minutes. Please make sure to enter the same mail address into the download form that you used to activate vorpX. The system ignores unknown e-mail addresses.

Also check your spam folder, just in case.

    Hello,

I had requested a new download link via the form provided last week, however I am yet to receive a response.

Can you please advise how long this process takes.

    Thanks.

I purchased this product a few months back, my PC since then has been upgraded and i no longer than the installation file.

I have requested a new link and emailed you.

When I am asking for customer service from a product I have paid money for I expect actual communication and not a black hole. The fact you have a download link that expires is insane in the first place.
