AndyWParticipantBy default, because VorpX uses head-tracking to control where you’re looking by generating virtual mouse movements, it also has to emulate the controller – I think Fallout 4, like many games, doesn’t allow simultaneous mouse and conroller input.
However, there is an experimental feature in VorpX for Fallout 4 only which gets round this. Call up the Vorpx in-game menu (default key is ‘Delete’), use the left/right arrow keys to get to the head-tracking menu, then down arrow to ‘Start direct tracking scan’ and enter. After a pause and a hitch in your view it’ll suddenly rotate your character. Ten you’ll probably find head-tracking is more accurate, and also that the controller works as intended.

dizietParticipantIf you’re brave you could try the Console Commands
http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Console_CommandsThere’s a command for eye sight height ‘SetEyeHeight [Value]’ that might be worth looking into. Haven’t tried Bioshock Infinite yet, I’m slooowly making my way through Dishonored. Game looks and plays amazing!
I haven’t been able to make use of such commands. There’s no way I can discern to open the debug console in Bioshock Infinite so I suspect it may have been removed at compile time.
I’ve tried to modify the key bindings to associate some commands such as “SetEyeHeight 25.0”, “SetFOV” and “ToggleHUD” to unused keys but they didn’t take effect which was a shame.
I’ve resorted to raising the pneumatic cylinder on my chair and sitting up straight as the VorpX camera height modify introduces some rather disturbing artefacts on close up characters!
Still I have a configuration I’m happy enough with now. I wonder if something like cheat engine and appropriate configuration files could modify eye height for us. I’ve never used cheat engine though.

CruxdacaParticipantYou guys need a better authentication system, requiring email exchange to get keys is outdated and a hassle. Don’t get me wrong, it works, received my key in about a minute, but its still an archaic process. True those using your system tend to be more tech savvy atm, but hopefully VR will become prolific enough to where you start getting novices, and with novices come more confusion. Linking the key generation to the sql or whatever database system you have hooked into the wordpress site, or the MyCommerce site, could be used for generation perhaps. Just my 2 cents.

RalfKeymasterIn some games that can be the case. You can also use the ingame menu with the cursor keys + Enter.

SlimbertonParticipantI’ve noticed a lot of people seem to respond getting their keys around 20-30 minutes of sending their request key. I wasn’t sure if I’d need to post here or not until 48 hours, but I purchased the software using a different email than I used for the request code, which I wanted to be my primary email.
I’m quite ambitious to get on my OC1, so my apologies if I’m impatient.

I also use JoyToKey to make the “select” button on the joypad trigger “EdgePeek”. This is quite a bit of setup, but the effects are pretty fantastic.
Are there any other settings out there that others have tried?

JadorelParticipantIn order to get it working for me, I had to full override, and remape the xbox controller buttons to the corresponding keyboard keys with the button mapper.

So I downloaded my copy of Thief II, The Metal Age. I’ve managed to get the menu screen going in my headset. However, the mouse and keyboard (HTC Vive controllers didn’t work at all) were not working in the game. The left click seemed to do nothing at all, while right clicking seemed to only work on my left monitor. The screen in my headset was beautiful and clear as it is on my monitor, but gargantuan and off to the left. None of the hotkeys to change those settings worked either.
But how I got to this little bit of progression was, starting VorpX, then running SteamVR, then running the game. After importing Thief 2, The Metal Age from the configure settings. Where I was going wrong when I read Ralf’s instructions on my other post was I was leaving the configure screen up and then running the VorpX picture viewer running. I thought that was what made VorpX work. Running the picture viewer.
So still haven’t gotten any game to run, but it’s a step in the right direction, hopefully some of this helps.
I’m with you. While I’ve gotten VorpX to start, and I can get the Desktop viewer to launch, I can’t get it to launch/attach for any game. All I get is the SteamVR home area (“This is REAL” with my Roomspace Grid) and that’s it. I’ve even disabled my second monitor while trying to run it in case that was causing issues as there’s no support for dual monitors.
Tried using it with Diablo 3 and if VorpX is running at all then Diablo 3 locks up when I hit “Play” in the battle.net launcher. Also as a shot in the dark I tried running it with other games like ARK and no go there. Pretty lost and confused as hitting “Start VorpX” as the instructions doesn’t seem to do anything.

hc3490ParticipantNever mind, I found the fix in this thread:
https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/ingame-hotkeys-not-working/I had to reinstall again, for unrelated reasons. It stopped working again.
I figured out the exact cause this time.
I don’t know why, or how, but having http://synergy-project.org/ installed breaks vorpx for me.

You guys need a better authentication system, requiring email exchange to get keys is outdated and a hassle. Don’t get me wrong, it works, received my key in about a minute, but its still an archaic process. True those using your system tend to be more tech savvy atm, but hopefully VR will become prolific enough to where you start getting novices, and with novices come more confusion. Linking the key generation to the sql or whatever database system you have hooked into the wordpress site, or the MyCommerce site, could be used for generation perhaps. Just my 2 cents.

CruxdacaI’ve noticed a lot of people seem to respond getting their keys around 20-30 minutes of sending their request key. I wasn’t sure if I’d need to post here or not until 48 hours, but I purchased the software using a different email than I used for the request code, which I wanted to be my primary email.
I’m quite ambitious to get on my OC1, so my apologies if I’m impatient.
