    XCOM2 – Z-Normal –

    Although it was a game using Unreal Engine, this game did not become three-dimensional in the profile of Unreal Engine.

    I don’t know what profile(s) you tried, but it is G3D Compatible with Bioshock Infinite.

    I don’t have Valheim so I can’t check out your profile, but I’m wondering why you used an unreal engine profile on a unity game. In my experience, the two don’t work well together.

    Hi recently a lot of people play Valheim. I used one of Unreal Engine profiles and adjusted some stuff and now Valheim works with VorpX via cloud profile.

    I took some unreal 3 profile, unfortunately I don’t know what it was anymore because I renamed it.
    In any case, something is wrong with the shaders, no 3D at close range or any such flickering, or bars … at least if you look over it into the distance everything looks fantastic in G3D … !!
    Will try other Unreal 3 profiles again … or maybe someone can help me …
    The sharks are very well animated in the game look much more vivid in 3D VR.
    Maybe someone of you will find a better profile.
    “Maneater” also a shark game runs very well with Vorx in G3D too!

    Update Feb 16. 2021

    Unreal Tournament 2004 (DGVoodoo2 v 2.6) – G3D

    This is a quick hack, so be aware. Very first screen has a missing shader but the game it self looks good. The advantage of this profile is that you can choose any custom resultion so you can play FUll VR with superb graphics quality.

    – Note: This is a quick hack
    – Make settings before start !
    – DGVoodoo2 v2.6 required !
    – Use Full Sreen (gamesttings)
    – Force resolution w. DGVoodoo2
    – Optimized for cinema modes
    – Full VR vailable
    – Profile available at the cloud

    Hey all. There were only a few threads here and on the googles for Antichamber and getting it to work with good FOV. Below are the few steps you need to do.

    Firstly, make sure you run the game at least once as it installs stuff the first time you run it.

    Even though Antichamber is officially supported, it uses the “Unreal Engine 3” profile – so if you already use another game with vorpx that uses this profile, I would suggest first copying that profile and make a new one. The folder with the UDK.EXE file to use is located in:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\Binaries\Win32\UDK.exe

    NOTE: If you don’t have any games using that profile, you can’t actually create a custom profile because antichamber binds to it when you first launch it with vorpx open.

    Next, to get Antichamber working with a proper FOV, you need to enable the console by editing ini file in notepad, and changed the fov to around 125 in game.

    DefaultInput.ini:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\UDKGame\Config

    Find the following lines in DefaultInput.ini:
    ConsoleKey=None
    TypeKey=None
    Put a semicolon in front of each of these lines so that they now look like:
    ;ConsoleKey=None
    ;TypeKey=None
    Save the file

    I would next suggest setting your resolution here, as for some reason because it’s running in 4:3 for the VR headset, it doesn’t show all the possible resolutions.

    In the same folder as the DefaultInput.ini, there’s a file called DefaultEngine.ini.

    At the bottom you will see [SystemSettings]
    Change the ResX and ResY to what you want as the resolution – I have a Valve Index headset, and I set it to my recommended resolution of 130%, or:

    ResX=2296
    ResY=2552

    I did notice a slight difference if I set it lower, so I keep it at that.

    Open the game, and press the ~ (tilde) key, then type:

    fov 125

    You may need to play around with a number, but for me 125 is great.

    I don’t know why, but the normal “SaveConfig” UDK3 command does not work..so you will have to type “fov 125” in console each time you open the game.

    Not a huge deal to be able to play the game in VR imho!

    I hope this helps anyone out with this awesome game!

    Hi,
    I know it has been a while since the original post, but when I am looking for the UT 2004 profiles in Cloud profiles, I cannot find them. There are other Unreal/UT related profiles but the UT 2004 profiles seem to be gone. Have they been removed? Any recommendations to play UT 2004 with VorpX?

    Thanks,
    Michael

    hi,

    first you search for what engine the game uses.
    then you search a game on vorpx game list who uses the same engine.
    then you create a copy of this game and you attach the exe file of the game you want to play.

    if you’re lucky, G3D or Z3D or both work, if you’re unlucky you can try another game vorpx profile.

    when the game hook and you’re ingame, you have to set a few things but it’s more a mater of tastes than something else, like 3D strength, headtracking strength, and more to tweak.

    you must also tweak game settings to have decent performance and most of the time you have to reduce post effects fx else it can cause graphic glitches but not always the case.

    you must also try to tweak fov specially for first person games, you can use for unreal engine 4, unreal engine unlocker tool which is great, but it doesnt supportall ue4 games.

    or you can try to tweak fov via game ini file.

    with experience you’ll learn how to make quickly working profile.

    for more experienced users you can even tweak shaders with advanced vorpx shader tool, but i’m too noob for this.

    hope that helps. if you have more questions go ahead.

    I posted a profile for a free game called Undefeated, which is a short open-world Superman simulator without the license. (They explicitly say that’s what they were trying to design.) It’s made by a trio of students from video game development university in Japan.

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1116960/UNDEFEATED/

    If you middle-mouse click, you can switch to a first-person view. It looks pretty good in VR, but unfortunately, it crashes after a while. (The error says something about the unreal engine losing connection to a direct3d device, I think.) I thought I’d post the profile anyway. The game is free, and maybe the crashing is specific to my machine or can be avoided by changing some graphics or vorpx settings.

    FYI, the game uses the Unreal 4 engine. This profile was based on the Vampyr one.

    This is a list of dx11 games.
    https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_DirectX_11_games

    Unreal Engine and Unity games usually work well with vorpx so you may want to try one of those. Bioshock Infinite, most if not all of the Batman games, Borderlands 3…most games published after 2014 are dx11.

    Again, the api used may or may not be relevant – at one point I couldn’t hook dx9 games but dx11 worked. Game overlays can cause similar problems, so I’d suggest just a quick test to see if it’s a general problem.
