    Hi,

I am trying to get Vorpx working with The BUS simulator by TML (Fernbus etc). Vorpx hooks into the game but DirectVR scan does not work (it’s not even there). Head tracking seems to work in Vorpx but this doesn’t equal head movement in the game even though TrackIR is enabled.

This game has recently been updated to UE5, and I think it uses DX12.

Ralf, the Z3D profile no longer works after today’s major update for Call of the Wild if you want to look into it. The profile for Flight Sim X seems to work okay with it though.

There is also a new hunting game out “Way of the Hunter” that I already have a cloud Z3D profile for, but its UE4 G3D suffers from terrain textures that don’t work correctly in stereo, similar to other Unreal 4 games that use this alternative texture method. Did you ever find a way to sort this issue?

    MICROSOFT…Yuck!

Not enough with making the installation procedure of original MICROSOFT-Games annoying and complicated as fu**, let alone succesfully being able to locate .exe- and other installation-files as its usually easy with every other game installed on my rig and an even troublesome search for the original installation-folder, as MICROSOFT doesn´t even allow to install games in own selected folders, it looks like i am not even having rights to dig into the appropriate gaming folders of my choice coz of all those annoying microsoft-security things obviously.

I am now having the problem of just being unable to find the frigging -exe file for CRACKDOWN 3 (Game-Engine Unreal 4) to make vorpX hook to it. According to certain forums, the appropriate -exe should be in some kind of “…App”-Folder but my search for that, along with all other kinds of searches in all kinds of microsoft-folders and subfolders, are still negative.

Since i don´t really feel like trying to search for the goddamn files for the rest of this day, i guess i am just trying my luck how the game will run on vorpX´s VR-Desktop without hooking.

So if anyone has experience with those damn MICROSOFT-Games and where to find their goddamn files´n folders or how they work with vorpX, any answer is appreciated.

As an irrelevant sidenote, i will never ever support this trashy company ever again and rather pirate their games, that way i am at least having a far easier way of installing and de-installing games along with finding the files i need to find, rather than wasting hours searching for those damn things.

Keep your fingers crossed that Meta won’t crash the whole VR bubble at some point.

Might not be the most common/widespread opinion, but I think VR as a whole would have been better off without the billions poured into it by Facebook/Meta every year. As things stand, pretty much everything hinges on Meta finding a way to actually make money with VR instead of burning it as if there was no tomorrow. With every billion spent for their unrealistic VR-as-a-social-medium-for-everyone-vision that becomes less and less likely. If Meta shareholders at some point get too annoyed, things may be over fast.

A danger that wouldn’t exist to that extent in a certainly smaller, yet more diverse and sustainable VR market.

That is good news. Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely check the game before the next update then.

Thanks for the info! I already have the game working in perfect G3D using the universal unreal engine 4 HelixMod. The only issue I had was that there was no good way to get head tracking. TrackIR support means a simple freepie script and OpenTrack is all I need to basically have this game be a native VR game now.

Will be trying tonight!! Im excited.

Doesn‘t it work by using the Grounded profile as a base? Detailed step-by-step guide a few posts above. I’m not 100% sure, but I think the game uses Unreal Engine 4, so it probably will work just fine that way.

By the way, the available Z3D profile ataches with -dx11 in launch settings, but I can’t get past the Unreal Engine logo. I wonder if it was creted for the Scorn Prolouge Demo. What would be the ideal profile to atach to a recent UE4 game with DX11 and a different profile to try with DX12?

Try grounded profile as suggested by Ralf himself. But game stuck on logo doesnt sound like profile issue, try running it windowed or fullscreen, opposite of what you have and see if anything changes.

Yes please! I just purchased VorpX specifically with the hopes of playing this game in G3D on my Index. I haven’t used VorpX before and now I’m trying to learn the whole program from the ground up just to play this game. Anyone that can help, please do!
I believe the engine is Unreal 4. I saw in a YT video to try using Jedi Fallen order or Abzu when creating a new profile. But no matter what I’ve tried I can’t even get it to hook. If anyone could help out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. <3

And by the way this game is pure art, it’s so amazingly gorgeous to look at and is atmospheric as HELL – it would be such an incredible experience in VR! You should check it out if you like HR Giger, atmospheric dark fantasy, Myst-like environmental puzzles, and ambient music. Help me live my fantasy of being on an alien planet in VR :D

You can compare the list of unreal engine 1 games in the wiki with the list of vorpx cloud profiles. Sometimes you have try every vorpx profile of the games listed in the wiki. But if the game you want to play is a definitive great game, it will worth it ! First try Unreal (1998)

Lenny, can you recommend a VorpX profile (for another game) that might work with “Tales of Berseria” and their modded unreal engine 1?
