RalfKeymaster@all: It’s all but quiet here. The next update with support for ~20 more games will be out shortly.
Updates are issued automatically when they become available, similar to the Steam update process.

RalfKeymasterThe DayZ Standalone profile will be made available with the next regular vorpX update, which shouldn’t take too long anymore.
If that helps in any way: in the meantime you should be able to play the mod version of DayZ with vorpX.

RalfKeymasterIn general the card is slightly too old to be fully supported by vorpX, so there might not be a solution to this issue other than upgrading your PC.
There are two things you can try though:
1. If you haven’t done so already, you should update to the latest GeForce drivers.
2. Considering the age of your card, it might just not have enough memory to work with vorpX in these games (stereo rendering has higher memory requirements), so if possible you could also try to lower the detail settings in-game, most importantly the texture resolution.

itxtutorParticipantIn arma 2 it works really nice. But it says in arma 3 not supported game… But on the webpage it says it´s supported. Maybe we have to wait for the new update. Does it work for anyone ?

RalfKeymasterHi Kitruntlay,
DayZ Standalone needs a game specific profile to run. It’s already working in the current dev build and will be available with the next vorpX update.

RalfKeymasterHi,
The license includes the full version 1.0 and all following 1.x updates. You get these updates automatically, similar to Steam updates.
Hope that helps.

GooseJSParticipantHi,
I haven’t bought VorpX yet, but I am most likely going to purchase it. I just have one question. When I go to purchase it, it say’s “VorpX Beta 1”, so I was just wondering, if I buy now, do I get all future updates for free?Jan 2, 2014 at 1:38pm #12343In reply to: Amnesia: The Dark Descent
lordvegetaParticipantThanks for the update, I hugely appreciate that you participate in these discussions, it’s great to have you here.
peteski123ParticipantThank you Ralf,
I tried the G3d tabs already, they do improve the 3d greatly but was hoping for a tad more.
Great news about Metro and the next update as that game is awesome in 3d in the rift, I would say the best experience yet in 3d mode.Thank you again
Regards
Pete
RalfKeymasterHi,
vorpX supports two different 3D-modes: A classic mode (Geometry 3D) that renders two views, and a super-fast mode called Z-Buffer 3D that has less 3D but is twice as fast, which helps to ensure 60fps even in taxing games. In most cases Z-Buffer is the default, you can switch to Geometry 3D in the in-game menu, provided the game supports both modes.
Clive Barkers Jericho supports both, you can switch to Geometry 3D in the in game menu (3D-Reconstruction). To further enhance the 3D-effect, you can raise the Eye Separation in the in-game menu. The default values are usually dialed in to be lifelike though, so raise them with care.
Metro Last Light will be supported with the next update, currently it’s 2D only.

RalfKeymasterThere currently is a bug that causes this for some games. It’s already fixed in the dev version, the fix will be available with the next update.
Until then you might be able to circumvent the issue by starting the game through a vorpX shortcut: right click the vorpX tray icon, choose “Create Desktop Shortcut”, then browse to the game’s .exe. This will create a special shortcut on your desktop.
If this doesn’t work for L4D2, you’ll have to wait for the next update. Sorry for that.

RalfKeymastervorpX is publically available for over three months now, and we didn’t hear of a single case so far where someone was banned, or even warned because of using vorpX. There are no guarantees though. So if you don’t want to risk anything, stick to single player modes.
That being said, Punkbuster and others would have to ban a lot of people if they would ban anyone who uses some kind of DirectX hook for image enhancement etc., so the chance of being classified as cheater when using vorpX is rather slim. Judging from my own experience I would say playing with the Rift is the opposite of a cheat. ;) But as said above, no guarantees.
DayZ Standalone doesn’t work currently BTW, the necessary profile was added a few days ago and will be available with the next update.
