Im wondering about the latest version too, coz what is this and why can’t I update to this -> “vorpX 25.1.0 Released” Tried the weblauncher, it installed version 19. something and the “beta” installers installed the 24.1.0 again….
Just a heads-up that I have removed the link to first list. That list was never complete in the first place and hasn’t been updated since at least seven or eight years, making it grossly misleading.
RJK’s list also isn’t complete anymore, but at least it gives a somewhat better impression in regard to games released up until 2020 or so,
Sorry! I really appreciate your post otherwise.

A new update is available that fixes crashes when changing the display mode and some graphics settings in the game options, which were introduced by the earlier fix for the nVidia 580.88+ issue. Also addresses an annoying non-critical crash when exiting the game that could occur since a while.

Can anyone help?
I previously played the game Sine Mora using VorpX. It was the BEST game I’ve ever seen in 3D. I purchased the game from Steam.
However.. months later after who knows what updated driver was installed, it seems it does NOT work any more. I click on the game, it starts to load, I even see the initial game’s intro screen (just before the title screen), but then it immediately closes. No error. No nothing. It just closes. (If I disable VorpX, the game loads and runs fine).
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I did NOT change any settings on my end since the last time it worked… so the only thing that could have changed is a newer driver was installed somewhere… but that could have been from steam, my pc, video card, who knows what.
Any ideas?
Just a heads-up that an update that addresses the issue caused by nVidia drivers 580.88 and higher is on its way. Just needs a bit more testing.

A new update is available that fixes a severe issue caused by nVidia drivers 580.88+.
If you experienced a black screen or crashes after updating your nVidia driver recently, please redownload the mod and reinstall it. That should fix the issue. As a side effect of the according changes the updated version may/should also run a bit smoother under high GPU load.

Unfortunately I had not disabled automatic updates so Steam forced the new 2.3 update for Cyberpunk on me. I did download the new Vorpx Cyberpunk mod from the homepage but unfortunately it appears to be broken. Couldn’t get it to start in OpenXR or SteamVR. I’m using Virtual Desktop with Meta Quest 3. Everything worked fine with OpenXR and Cyberpunk and the Vorpx Mod before version 2.3. Can’t remember whether I had anything configured differently when I started Cyberpunk before the 2.3 update. Is there a known issue with the current Vorpx mod?
Frankly I can’t even really imagine how a driver update could cause such an issue. vorpX captures the game output before it is sent to the driver and sending the final image to the headset later works through the VR APIs (Meta/SteamVR/OpenXR) like in any other VR app. Not a single point in that pipeline touches the graphics driver directly. Very, very weird.
Either way, since for me 580.88 works fine, so that I can’t replicate your issue, all I can recommend is:
- Trying all three VR APIs in the config app, a Quest should work with all of them.
- Using a driver version that is working for you.
- In case this is related to a gaming laptop, try to disable the integrated GPU to ensure that games run on the same GPU that the headset is connected to, which usually is the dedicated GPU in a gaming laptop.
If you want, you can create a trouble shoot archive with log files and system infos in the config app and send it to support at vorpx com. Probably won’t show anything useful, but can’t hurt to look at it.
Hello.
I’ve been using Vorpx for awhile now and it is great to get to play some games in G3D that you could not otherwise. Some technical questions or features that I’ve got in my mind though…
On Virtual Desktop \ Virtual Monitor, is there a way to create any resolution that I want or could this be a feature to maybe add to it? Like now I can create 1:1 aspect ratio resolutions that are something like 2804×2800, so 4 pixels wider and the only other option is the 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions. Would be cool to be able to create any resolution with numbers for width and height. Also using the Virtual Desktop \ Virtual Monitor, is there anyway to alt+tab out of it if my monitor is shut down? Sometimes you need to use something like Cheat Engine to mod a wider FOV in to a game and you need to alt+tab out when the game starts to start the Cheat Engine. Now, I can do this if I am not using Virtual Desktop and my monitor is running, but if I keep my monitor on, I cannot use the Virtual Monitor resolutions with games, only when the monitor is shut down I have access to these Virtual Monitor resolutions within games.
Something that I’ve also noticed and maybe its just me, but I’d love to be able to crank the sharpening higher sometimes. It is very game dependent if the maximum setting is enough or too much. Sharpness is very important, at least to my eyes when playing in VR and the Vorpx sharpening tool leaves me wanting more sometimes. Any recommendations for a way to add more sharpening? Obviously Nvidias own Sharpening filter does not work and I can’t use OpenXR-toolkit anymore since some PimaxPlay updates ago.
Thanks!
@moderators: Could you please delete my three previous posts?
**How to center and shrink the minimap (and other HUD elements):**
1. Copy the update.rpf file from your game’s update folder to the mods\update folder. (You’ll need to create these directories if they don’t exist).
2. Use a tool like OpenIV or CodeWalker to open the update.rpf file that you just placed in your mods folder.
3. Navigate to common\data\ui\ and replace the frontend.xml file with the one provided at this link
You may need to adjust the minimap’s horizontal position if your in-game resolution is different from mine (1920×1440). To do this, edit the frontend.xml file and look for the lines that begin with:
* <data name="minimap"
* <data name="minimap_mask"
* <data name="minimap_blur"
Then, increase or decrease the three posX values by the same amount to shift the position.
I also recommend the “GTA 5 HUD Toggle” mod (bind F12 to down D-Pad to toggle the minimap)
Thanks Ralf, it has worked!
Also Im more than happy with the software so Ill be buying a licenece for the future updates.
Thank you again.

Nathan

A new update is available. Download link as always in the first post of this thread.
- Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework updated for CP2077 2.3.
I uploaded an updated profile without the debug stuff. Should fix itself next time you launch the game. Let me know if not.
[Update Jul.5.2025]
Additional Shaders Fixed (Stereo)
I see! That is fair, the monthly rhythm thing doesn’t suit all software developers or softwares, especially if you are selling something on the side!
I think Praydog (the UEVR guy) had the same feeling and has a patreon, but just with no updates there ever? But his software is also free, so it does make sense like you said.
Plus, surely doing so would bring more money to your hands… together with more headaches (there is no escaping that! hahah)
Maybe something more like Ko-Fi would be more your jam, its like 5% per donation, and its a one time thing last time I heard, so its a bit more no strings attached.
In any case, that’s exactly what I was thinking, a decade of software updates for a couple bucks is insane. I mean, many people on sites like patreon and such spend that much on a project every 4 months or 8months ($10 and $5 pledges).
Some devs would just release “VorpX V2 electric boogaloo”, but that is a whole can of worms in itself.
Buying a second license sounds fair after almost a decade to be honest, especially with the ridiculous amount of hours I’ve used it.
In any case, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this!
