ParticipantThanks for the tips on STALKER Ralf! Going to try that tonight!
As far as your second point about non-supported games… I guess that is exactly one of the things I’m questioning how to do. I saw the profiles, and the community cloud profiles. I just don’t know how to apply profiles to other games. Like, say I wanted to try applying Skyrim’s profile to a game that is not in the supported list, such as 7 Days to Die, how would I do that? Do I do it in the VorpX configure? I’ve been looking for how to do it, but haven’t been able to figure this out, or find out from searching.

ParticipantThis is on the Vive. Seems like I need to focus too close, so I imagine Im slightly crosseyed to play

ParticipantRalf, your awesome man! You answered every one of my questions! I honestly didn’t even think there was a solution to them. Thanks!

ParticipantAlso, since I am doing 360 degrees, I have another question. When I hit edge view key, the screen shows up from my original seated position, but I might be standing facing another direction. And also, can I adjust the scaling of the edge view screen separately from game screen? If I’m all the way zoomed out on the game screen, edge view is kinda small. Thanks

ParticipantRalf, I think I may have figured it out. Stupidest fix ever. I was holding the hmd up to my face, and my face wasn’t close enough to activate the proximity sensor. I found that when I pushed my face in closer, the game would magically flicker on. Lol, I feel dumb.
Even with that, before I had the hmd strapped to my head when I tried fallout4. I dunno, things seem to be working now, after that one kind of obvious fix. I didn’t even think of it, because steamVR doesn’t do that.

ParticipantThanks for the fast response by the way Ralf. I can’t wait to get it set up just right! I got that small taste of Oblivion earlier today and it seemed awesome!!

ParticipantI restarted steam, and my computer. It still seems to be happening, the games are just black, with the game flickering up every now and then. I just reinstalled vorpX, I will try to give it another try tonight

ParticipantAnd adding, the same thing seems to happen on every game I try. Fallout 4 now, and also outlast

ParticipantOk, what am I doing wrong you guys? I tried it earlier today, and I got oblivion started up and working, but I had to go in 5 minutes. I come home tonight, and I launch it and all I get is audio and a black screen and black HMD screen. The HMD flickers the game every 15 seconds or so, but thats it. I need this working! lol

ParticipantEvery time I go to altspace (which is filled with Vive users) I bring up Vorpx to people. A lot of people already know about it, and those that dont seem very interested. Cant wait!

ParticipantThanks for replying Alegse! I was kind of worried that maybe my hope of playing Morrowind and Oblivion in VR may have been misplaced. This is great news to me! I also got some input on Morrowind from the Oculus reddit page, and indeed… it does not sound like my hope is misplaced! I cannot wait for this experience. Thank you for sharing your settings as well. I had searched quite a bit to find first hand accounts, or youtube videos, and didnt find much of anything. It really says something when you stated that a flat screen wont look the same again. Very promising, Ralf’s Vive support cannot come soon enough!

ParticipantAfter posting this on the oculus reddit Vorpx post in reddit I am even more stoked for Vorpx with the Vive! I’ve completely hyped myself up. Ralf, give us some kind of update! Even if you say, ” it will be atlllllleast 3 more months…” I will still be happy because I would have a rough idea of how long I might be waiting! Haha, we are begging you

ParticipantMade an account just to post on this thread. I have been lurking here for quite a while, since even before I got my Vive. I imagine there are many others that are waiting for this too. Altspace is filled with Vive users, and almost every one of them that I have talked to is familiar with what Vorpx is and is curious about it. I am sure there are many other Vive users that are very interested.
I cant help but wonder, here with Marco, what kind of time-frame are we looking at? I know also you don’t want to give out a date, so people don’t end up getting disappointed with delays. Can you give hints on possible time-frames? Or the current status? I’m looking forward to this with EAGER anticipation! Anything really would be nice!
