Thanks, I like to crank up the stereo high. This is better but I could still use a little more depth/ 3d effect. :)

Thanks Atuin, but I got it to work for a short time useing your suggestions plus verifying files,, resetting Vorpx then i tried to get the native camera mod and WSD mod working and it is Kaput again. Crashes immediately w game error before the loading screen. Reversed the mod options and still not working. It is apparently very sensitive to something since the hotfixes.

Getting game crash to desktop since last hotfix 5 update. Works ok without Vorpx. It either crashes the game or fails to attach. Anyone else?

Well Three kingdoms does play in stereo 3d on a monitor with nvidia stereo (as long as you don’t update to the newer drivers). The 3d has lots of issues but in compatibility mode its pretty clean but no really good 3d pop/ convergence.

And yes I think it is dx11. I may try some other profiles but not hopeful and the nvidia stereo is keeping me 3d satisfied for now.

There are some workarounds to get Tridef VR working, I think, even though the company has gone belly up and the software has self destructed with no on line licence renewal (even though we paid for it). Again a lot of trouble for something that used to work fine.

Would be nice if Vorpx picked up the slack but I guess Ralph has a lot of other things on his plate.

Sorry Fable, I cant stand to play it without 3d. It works pretty well in Stereo compatibility mode on Nvidia Stereo (NO VR but atleast 3d) even though that requires staying on old Nvidia drivers for the foreseeable future.

I have been fighting the rise of stereo 3d followed by its death shortly after for 30 plus years now. Cant wait for the next cycle if I am around still.

Ok i tried the Napoleon profile with both War-hammer and Three Kingdoms and as fable09 said they would not hook. Haven’t tried others but will if I get the time.

By the way delrifter 22, I tried your Napoleon Total War profile on Napolean Total War and it is works well and is amazing. Especially with the Darthmod mods where you get 10,000 or so troops battling it out in the smoke and fire while sitting in the middle of it in VR. If only we could make that work for Three Kingdoms.

I agree it would be great if whatever Tridef did could be incorporated into Vorpx. It seemed to work and give solid stereo 3d on many of the total war type of games. Ultimate Generals, Order of battle all worked pretty well with Tridef (but not Vorpx) although some required using their power 3d which is essentially Zadaptive, i think.

Anyway with Tridef gone and NVIDIA ending stereo support with new driver releases it would be a blessing if Vorpx could step in to the void.

I haven’t tried Three Kingdoms yet with Vorpx but if that could produce good stereo 3d it could open up a whole new set of customers to Vorpx. Three Kingdoms is apparently a blockbuster in China and China also happens to be the one area of the globe that is hooked on stereo 3d movies at least. So, might be an opportunity as well as a save for many Ex-nvidia and tridef customers like me who cant stand playing anything without 3d stereo

Is Witcher 3 working for anyone anymore? This Amylion profile doesnt seem to be available anymore and with the standard Vorpx profile I just get a hang , no startup.

It used to work but new computer install and installation of DLC may have changed something…

I am not so sure I agree on how subtle Crystal Image is Ralph. When I turn it off to avoid the 45 minute blink and shutdown issue on my Vive I can distinctly notice a reduction in clarity especially of text. I wish there was a work around to stop the Viv from reacting badly to it without turning it off.

I have toyed with turning it off and then back on while in game to see if I could reset the ’45 minute clock’ but am not sure that solves the issue or if some other workaround might help.

ok Mea Culpa is in order. After rereading Ralph’s troubleshooting instructions I tried as last resort to turn off Nvidia Stereo and the second monitor. Voila !!!

It solved the aim alignment problem. I never had the problem with my previous computer with those on so I kind of ignored the advice. I haven’t tested to see of on or the other caused the problem. It also affected my Oculus as well as my Viv so it seems a pretty fundamental issue and it only seems to affect Skyrim wierdly.

Anyway all’s well that ends well.

I have the exact same issue with Skyrim and my HTC Viv. I haven’t played fallout much . It may be there too. After a interval which seems always about the same , maybe 45 to hour , it starts blinking an then goes black.

I looked to see if there was a timer option which was trying to tell me to take a break but no such thing apparently. It is almost clockwork in the time frame in which it cuts out. Like you the display once I Task quit the game is on and running fine in the steam world.

Maybe Ralph is just looking out for our health and wants us to quit for a break every hour?

    1) Skyrim with Enderal mod. This makes this years old game seem like brand new
    2) Fallout4. Sort of holding off to see if the Vr release will be worth it
    3) Grand Theft Auto V
thats as far as I have gotten. Cant give you 5. I am sure there are plenty of other great ones but even being retired I am not even close to finishing those 3.

Well i tried it as you suggested Ralph about 6 times and still have no G3D, just 2d. Z3d normal and adaptive works fine. Maybe something else is off kilter? I used the optimization option for GTA5 that comes with Vorpx, messed around with frequency, other resolutions, 3d strengths, start , stop restart and no joy. Maybe it will magically work when I get that new computer. Here’s hoping.

I never had it. When I tried it last week the geometry never did really kick in. Z3d was much better when i tried it. Maybe the same issue, hopefully. I would like to see geometry in GTA5 but so far i get nothing. Admittedly I didn’t mess around with resets and all as you did so maybe I just have to work a little harder to get it to work on my system.

I am buying a new i7 7700 and gtx 1080 ti system and would love to be able to use gta in geometry with that.

No I don’t have SLi. Just tried it again with Oculus instead of Vive and that does it too. Only get it when near the surface however so it is quite playable.
