ParticipantPARTIAL SOLUTION:
Tried everything I could think of and the only way to fix the issue was to set Vorpx HUD settings to maximum. The game treats the scope as part of the HUD, so however large the HUD is on screen is how large the scope view will be. Which means to fix this you have to play with a big HUD, which is not what I would ordinarily want, but in this circumstance it’s better than having a distorted scope view.
I guess I don’t understand why the default scope/HUD settings look fine in FULLVR view but NOT in Cinema view?

ParticipantEDIT AGAIN:
The problem goes away when I switch to Vorpx’s fullVR mode–the scope then fills the screen as it should–but fullVR is unplayable because the image still stays letterboxed and the whole thing moves around when you move your head.
Ralf: How can I get the scope view to work properly with cinema mode?

ParticipantEDIT: I just tried running the game without Vorpx and the scope was normal, so it’s definitely an issue with Vorpx, probably related to FOV settings?

ParticipantWeapon is a 2D sprite and floats above the edge of the screen–any fixes for 2D sprite and weapon being detached from bottom edge of the screen?
EDIT: I’m using Steam demo version. Maybe it’s different with full version?

ParticipantWell … the “Anger” part of it is right.
Booted it up with Vorpx and it defaulted to my monitor’s native 4K resolution with a not-so great frame rate. Went into the game’s menu to drop the res and there was no such option. Figured that if the game defaults to the native res of my monitor and I can’t change the res in the game’s UI then I could just drop the res on my monitor to something more manageable and the game would then default to that. So I did, and … the game soft locked my system. Wouldn’t boot into the menu, and I couldn’t do anything to shut it down. Tried CNTRL/ALT/DELETE and the game wouldn’t let me close anything because my mouse arrow had turned into a spinning circle that Windows would not recognize.
My only option was to restart my system and try again, so I did. Same thing. Had to reboot. Put my monitor back to its native res and tried again, figuring I’d just try to deal with the crappy frame rate. Same thing–soft locked my system and had to reboot. Figured maybe it was a problem with Vorpx and the game so I shut down Vorpx and just booted the game. Same thing. Soft locked my system and had to reboot.
So now, no matter what res I try to run the game at, with or without Vorpx … it soft locks my system and forces me to reboot or shut down.
I’m assuming there’s some kind of config file somewhere that I need to delete in order to get the game running again but I don’t know where it is, so … yeah.
Not worth it, even at the low low price of free.

ParticipantLooks cool and can’t beat the price. Going to try it out and see for myself. Thanks for the profile!

ParticipantCould you share your specific settings other than the reversed DM for Valhalla, dborosev?

ParticipantAny luck with this? Already have the game on Xbox and don’t want to get it for PC unless it’ll work with Vorpx …

ParticipantVery helpful and to the point post, Ralf. I’m going to go back and try Xbox Gamepad Override with that cloud profile and see how it goes. Thanks for the help!

ParticipantUh, Ralf I’m going to ask you to delete my little rant if you see this. I shouldn’t have complained about issues with an unofficial profile.

ParticipantDidn’t realize when I made this post that there is no official profile for Observer–so it’s possible the problems I’m dealing with are related to the unofficial profile and not Vorpx itself. My apologies for confusing the two.

ParticipantJust wanted to note what a great game this was. Really stood out from other FPS back in the day.

Participantbut I can only please if paradisedecay has used one of my profiles! there is no need for credits or thanks. Indeed it is I who have to thank PD for all the profiles he has uploaded, avoiding having to put my hand to the profile!
Fair enough. My mistake. Thanks for all the work both of you do.

ParticipantHis profile didn’t work very well for me, but I think you might want to credit Luka2099 for creating the profile in the first place just to be polite.
