“Inside” is an amazing side scrolling game that is supposed to work well in 3D with Vorpx though I haven’t yet tried it as I beat the game before a profile was released.

My understanding–someone correct me if I’m wrong–is that Microsoft, being Microsoft, locks up the actual contents of the games you “buy” from them. So it is difficult if not impossible to mod games from the Microsoft Store, and that includes using Vorpx with them.

For instance, I just bought Deep Rock Galactic from the MS store, and it won’t work with vorpx.

The lesson here is: Don’t buy games from the Microsoft Store, because you won’t really own the contents you paid for. MS will still keep those contents under lock and key.

Yes, I now Game Pass is more of a rental service, but the same still applies.

I thought there wasn’t a working profile for this?

I really want to try this profile too but I can’t get it to hook either.

Yes, that is what he means.

I’ve noticed that with some games–and Mass Effect LE is one–if HDR is enabled, the image quality will be terrible with Vorpx. Mass Effect LE may automatically enable HDR so you have to go into the menu and turn it off. Since no existing VR headsets have HDR screens, it’s a useless feature to enable anyway. PSVR 2 will be the first HDR VR HMD when it is released.

Responding again to this thread, because the game has been updated and I can now change the res either through the menu or better still, through the registry. worth playing for sure, especially for free!

Can’t help with actually making the profile as I’ve no experience, but I have my fingers crossed for you here as I’d like to play this with vorpx too. Anyone out there with expertise want to lend a hand? Good luck to you Du1g0 either way!

I have a profile in the cloud guys but it’s a work in progress

If you don’t want positional tracking then it works flawlessly…. Apart from the fog rendering in the right eye only….lol

    But I’m working on it

I look forward to checking out your profile! Don’t care about positional tracking as I mostly play on a virtual screen anyway.

I’m playing the first one right now–L edition–and it works great in Vorpx. Just had to make one adjustment to the HUD setting in order to fix the sniper scope size, that’s it.

It’s perfectly playable once you adjust the HUD settings to the maximum point. I’d just suggest changing the default Vorpx profile to do exactly that, then no one else will run into this issue in the future. It would be nice to shrink the other HUD elements down a bit if they could be de-linked from the scope, but it’s not an impediment to playing the game.

    PARTIAL SOLUTION:

Tried everything I could think of and the only way to fix the issue was to set Vorpx HUD settings to maximum. The game treats the scope as part of the HUD, so however large the HUD is on screen is how large the scope view will be. Which means to fix this you have to play with a big HUD, which is not what I would ordinarily want, but in this circumstance it’s better than having a distorted scope view.

I guess I don’t understand why the default scope/HUD settings look fine in FULLVR view but NOT in Cinema view?

    EDIT AGAIN:

The problem goes away when I switch to Vorpx’s fullVR mode–the scope then fills the screen as it should–but fullVR is unplayable because the image still stays letterboxed and the whole thing moves around when you move your head.

Ralf: How can I get the scope view to work properly with cinema mode?

EDIT: I just tried running the game without Vorpx and the scope was normal, so it’s definitely an issue with Vorpx, probably related to FOV settings?
