I tried setting up the game with superdepth3d, but even with msaa disabled, it doesn’t have a usable depth buffer. Maybe g3d is still possible, but I’d say it’s a long shot.

I just dont see how it could be that hard to “unlock” the camera view and make it function in 3D.. especially for the Ralphster.. I wonder if hes tried as I have a feeling if h did he could figure it out eventually.. hes worked wonders lol

Please everyone check out VPX in VR, its awesome. not all but most tables work very well in VR and pancake. Some tables even have VR rooms around them (just like FX2 VR). It really is incredible. I will help anyone out who needs it.

I have tried it! I love it but I cant get it running again.. man.. it sucks..

Glad people are coming around! Bethesda games in VR are like bread and butter. Honestly the people having overblown ‘problems’ with Bethesda games and VR are probably not very smart when it comes to modding. If you dont know what your doing you can break your game. Then those people get pissed and its a mod that’s causing the issues. They uninstall and reinstall the game, but they are dumb and didn’t uninstall the mods, so they just stayed right where they were and made the game malfunction just as it did before they reinstalled the game.

If your smart, buy it, If you love Bethesda games, buy it, if your not a pussy, buy it…

If your smart you’ll be able to figure out what does what and how to get what you want out of the software. It has come a LONG LONG way. The Bethesda games are jaw dropping in Direct VR. Almost no tweeking is required. Of course you can mod it up if your clever and don’t over do it.

If you love Bethesda games then this is a no brainer. BUY IT. I have tried many Direct 3D games, they work good… But the Bethesda games aren’t just ‘good’ in Ditrect VR. They’re damn near perfect. The UI and HUD are the modified as best as vorpX can. The Worlds Bethesda crafts have always been more immersive then other games and that makes for great VR. The settings, characters and activities always sucking you into a world you love exploring. With vorpX shits about to get ‘real’…

If your a fresh fish when it comes to VR then maybe play some VR games until you get your big boy pants on. Vorpx works great, but it needs some serious grunt for a rig to push the 3D and have high frame rates. So alot of time you may run into slow downs or judder that can make a lesser man feel sick. Say your in downtown D.C. and your in a big open setting with lots of rubble and 10 guys all shooting at you then yup your going to have slow down, and yup if your not hard as nails your tum tum will get sicky.

After hundreds and hundreds of hours spanning Bethesdas major hits I can say that vorpX is more the worth the money, and the effort to get to know its functions. It is maybe the singular greatest thing I have ever done in video gaming. Thats not BS, vorpX lets you transport yourself into Bethesda games like I never thought possible.

If you love these games, then buy it and say goodby to reality for a few months.. hell you might not want to come back at all ;)

The most important thing is to get the game running first. Dont worry about VR/vorpX or modding or anything until you get it running just nice and normal.

Depending on what operating system you have, getting it to run will require different things. Once you get the BASE game running normal in 2D then worry about vorpX/VR.. then from there think about mods that might aid game play.

Im staying away from straight graphic mods like over grainy bloated texture packs. I think they’re ugly especially in VR and they hurt performance quit a bit.

ALWAYS use safe modding. Create a few “hard” saves before adding ANY mods, that way you have a safe save game to go back to if you run into issues like I did. I got lazy and threw to many mods in to try to get something to run and all it did was mess up some things. I was able to revert but that’s not always how it works out so just be careful modding. Also mods that have zero chance of having issues in 2D will spring leaks in 3D… These are issues that more then likely would NEVER spring up under normal circumstances but in 3D they manifest.

    Read. The. Manual.

Turn of your anti-virus. Yes the anti-virus your probably always wrestling with because it wont let you do anything you actually need to.

This cant be real right? There is NO way a person who has no idea what something is would go out and buy it right? Your saying you went out and spent money on a program that you have literally NO idea what it does or is even supposed to be used for? Do you expect people to actually believe you? Maybe get a job at Newsweek o Facebook because your IQ is clearly single digits. Seriously are you a brain dead 12 year old? Like seriously, what the hell? Like smash my face with the keyboard, what THE HELL is wrong with these dip shits?

I pulled IMPACT and RH Iron sights and the terrible lag went away. So somewhere in the Iron Sights mod is something that doesn’t play well with 3D. So might want to avoid using those few 2 or 3 mods together.

Don’t know much about Destiny 2 but it might not be a good idea to use vorpX with it. Its a MMO more or less and they might think your cheating or hacking if your using vorpX with it. They probably monitor players and will just think your trying to hack or cheat so maybe be careful.

I ran into a nasty bug where the game lags to the point of not running while wielding certain guns. Things will be running fine but when I equip certain guns it lags to the point where it takes me out of the game and I see just the Steam VR loading room until I put it away.

I think it could be the No Zoom aiming and the Iron Sights mod conflicting maybe. I also installed IMPACT about the same time it started glitching out with certain guns. That mod required adding few more ESPs to the Iron Sights mod and that’s what I think broke the scripting in FOSE. When those extra scripts for the added guns required for IMPACT I think did something. So I gotta go back and uninstall those and find a save that’s not infected yet. Seems to run fine in 2D but when in VR it glitches out.

So just a word of cation on those 3 mods. I read that FOSE can get “clogged” up when trying to run scripts that don’t need to be ran at that time.

FWE does sound cool, I’ll end up doing a full install of it and EVE and the other cool ones Im sure. I’m trying to be minimalist about mods this go around though, but that never lasts too long :)

I’m trying to get ENBoost going next but need to tinker with settings. USE THE PATCHER I have listed above. Its a life saver! I went from crashing every 5 to 30 min, after patching I had 1 freeze up in about 8 hours. Really worth installing.

It took some doing but I got it running on windows 7. I used the old fix to get it running, i had to get it booting then I was able to remove the dll. After that it fires up no problem. I need to look into memory patches next time I get the time. Also a bullet time VATS mod would be really cool. If you dont need to run win 10 i would recommend 7 for Bethesda games. I guess 7 has more memory it can use with the hacks then with 10.

I still cant pull myself away to go modding! The only way Fallout 3 VR could get any better would be for someone to make a mod that adds motion controlled guns and melee. Cant wait for modders to get headsets and start making awesome stuff.

Anyway this will more then hold me over till FO4 VR comes out.

P.S. Using the mini gun in VR is a hoot! It also looks really cool to hold that big gun in 3D.

I never said it would be stealing if they worked together. But your right China has and always will be beacon of shining light of copyright protection. Their government takes it very seriously… oh wait…

I would cation Ralf some here. Pimax is a Chinese company and I would be very careful how much I give them access to. They would gladly steal Ralphs program if they thought they had half a chance of doing it. Im not trashing them but its how they do business over there. Working close to manufacturers could be great for vorpX but Im telling you, Ralph watch you ass with these guys…
