Yeah I would just double check everything, make sure its all set rite and up to date. Also make sure you have the rift set to extended mode then try it out.

I sort of think the opposite about moving your head. Even if the frame rate isn’t great I find moving my head to look makes me way way less sick then just staring forward and having the world move around me. But definitely I agree about not whipping your head around all fast crazy. That’s a sure fire way to instantly enter the sick zone.

When I first tried vorpX(and the Rift in general) I would get dizzy but I found adjusting my IPD(I was using factory Rift settings) and turning down the 3D in some games helped dramatically.

Also if your PC isn’t exactly a power house try having nothing else running and turn down the in game settings to see if you can bump up your frame rate.

I could only play for about an hour every other couple hours when I first got the Rift. Now I can flip around, dip dive dangle and it doesn’t bother me. Hopefully after time you can get used to it. It’s does sucks some people get sick even after trying to adjust to it.

I haven’t tried FOSE yet but I use NVSE and the 4GB patch and then it launched. I also may have fiddled with the excluded programs in vorpX but I don’t remember. I do know that around the first time I tried vorpX it wouldn’t hook with the version of NVSE I had then I updated everything and added the 4GB patch and it does. It launches with the patch so maybe try that with Fallout 3.

Yup just leave the xbox set up the same, leave all of GTA 5 just regular too. Normally I have a set map on my controllers then I remap the game to fit me, but I have to bend the knee this time to GTA as my normal tricks have no effect against this beast. Anyway I still found a way around it with the “hybrid” lol then all you need to worry about is just adding that extra layer to the right joystick to help blend the two setups together. I also layer the run button as I was having interference some with that. Now with the run layer added you just hold run instead of pump it. I am also thinking of adding the keyboard layer to the punch and jump. They still interfere(very little) but if it gets annoying for you go ahead and add in those as well. Before you get really wrapped up just add the mouse layer first and test it out.

Remaping is the wrong word. In this case its more of an added layer. One game I had 4 layers of mapping so this is a cake walk lol Gta in full vr is my new favorite lol

You want it to see it for my hybrid set up. Use joy2key or xpadder. remap just the right stick and run to what tav uses on keyboard. then the game thinks your using a controller but it smoothes out head jitter. tested and working both prorams on a xbox wireles I just borowed from my buddy. it works dudes. it mite take rebootin the pograms but they work.

A tip that could help you out is go to Fallout 3 nexus and just go over the list of UI mods. It mite take a bit but there are all sorts of not so popular mods that work great in a VR environment.

Bethesda is having their very own(and first) E3 thingy this year so fingers crossed! I want Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2.

One way to make the pipboy easier to navigate is a mnod called pipboy menu tabbing hotkeys:
    http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50870/?

This one is for NV but there mite be a Fallout 3 equivalent. It lets you navigate the menus with your movement keys. Also in the forums a guy mentioned that 3 of the “F” buttons are already mapped to the menus I just don’t remember what f buttons they are.
If you cant find a Fallout 3 mod that does the same thing you could probably get someone who knows the GECK to port it maybe.

I use a controller but I remap it all to keyboard and mouse to better work with vorpX setup (and a lot of mods don’t have controller options anyway). I use 2 PlayStation move navigation controllers but the set up is still more or less the same idea as a 360 controller.

It’s definitely worth your $60. People work really hard to make software. People like Ralf. They deserve to make money on what they created and you get to enjoy. Don’t steal from hard working developers, especially people like Ralf. Bootlegging is probably the #1 reason we don’t get a lot of cool games on PC, and that sucks. So quit it.

Went down to the Goodwill and picked up a Logitech 3D joystick for 9.99! Got it back and mapped it to the aircraft keys, works like a charm. It’s really cool to fly around and be able to look all around in the cockpit :) Now just need to find a steering wheel…

Hmmm… sounds like maybe another program is trying to boot at the same time and beats out vorpX. I know some video card set up/customization software can mess with hooking. Maybe it’s that. I had an issue with nvidea experience crashing everything back a while ago.

Good deal! You’ll get the hang of it. There is definitely a learning curve but that’s with anything new. When you get comfortable with those settings you can go into vorpX config and turn on the sweg mlg “expert” settings. It adds even more things to get confused about lol no it’s really not bad just takes some time to get used to what everything does. The good news is once you get used to what everything does, and how to get what you want out of the program, its the same for every game. So you’ll be able to jump in and tune in a game and then not worry about it.

All I can say is just double check everything and make sure everything is up to date. Go over the start up checklist for vorpX and check out the guides. Also check out your Rift set up instructions to make sure its all set up and ready to go. Could be an antivirus of some kind or some type of other program trying to activate at the same time. Also if you cant solve it post your system specs and what game your trying out.

I would say try not having anything extra open and running when your using vorpx. Any extra memory should be available, at least that’s how I roll lol also it could be the AMD thing but I’m not sure. I have nvidea and depending on who made their update that month it can mess with stuff. maybe its the same deal. Hope you can get it solved.

No one is going to trouble shoot bootlegs man. The best way to make a hacked game work is to go buy the game. Novel idea paying for software but it just mite work!
