kurryParticipant
Just got it working by doing the following:
Right-click the VorpX icon in the system tray and select ‘Create Desktop Shortcut’, browse to your Steam folder on whichever drive you have Stalker installed installed, then to steamapps -> common -> STALKER -> Bin -> Win32, and select the XR3DA exe. This will create a shortcut on your desktop.
Go to configure Vorpx, in the General Tab make sure “Run Vorpx conrol as Administrator” is checked.
Go to the shortcut you previously created on your desktop. It should be XR_3DA vorpx and make sure you run that as an administrator.
This is the only way I was able to get the game running.
kurryParticipantI’ve tried everything to get this up and running, but it just wont work.
Any help would be appreciated :DkurryParticipantThanks for the guide, I picked up a lot of useful tips!
I can’t wait to watch your new series for individual game tips.
Btw I just posted this over on the Oculus subreddit.kurryParticipantI tried using dx9 setting, but the game still wont hook.
kurryParticipanthow do you get it to launch in dx9 version? I can’t get my game to hook.
kurryParticipantI just booted up Black Flag and was really disappointed to see it doesn’t have Geomenty 3D or z-buffer on Vorpx. However, I did get it to work using Tridef and Big Screen.
Playing 3rd person games in cinema mode can be just as immersive and fun as playing First person game, so Ralf please don’t leave out 3rd person games:)kurryParticipantAny news on Mass Effect Andromeda :D
kurryParticipantThanks Ralf!
kurryParticipantI really enjoy playing 3rd person games in Vorpx, so hopefully Andromeda will eventually work. I’ve held off buying it until we can play in Vorpx.
kurryParticipantI’m getting my Oculus Touch soon, but I’m kind of more excited about the next Vorpx update LOL
kurryParticipantThanks :)
kurryParticipantAlegse, I asked Ralf about that back in June, and he said it would be in the next update: https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/g3d-and-z-adaptive-hotkey/
kurryParticipantThanks Ralf, I’m getting similar fps in both versions.
I like the color and trees in Skyrim Special Edition better, so I think I will stick to playing the new version.
Thanks for all the hard work!kurryParticipantI think the Helix Mod guy got Elder Scrolls online 3D working for DX11.
I’m not sure if this will be any help Ralf.kurryParticipantI’m currently playing the mod that combines both Fallout games, I think it’s called Tale of Two Wastelands. There is no native VR experience that even comes close to the fun I’m having using Vorpx.
It’s worth taking the time to learn how to use Vorpx. Once you know what you’re doing, each game becomes easier to set up.
