In the vorpx in-game menu, i can choose between Z3D or G3D in most dx9-dx11 games and Z3D or DirectVR in Cyberpunk and Witcher ? Why is it not shown as AFR3D instead of DirectVR ?
I hope 2023 will be a good vorpx year even for gamepad gamer ! What gamepad vorpx user need are a new bunch of official vorpx profiles !
But I wish the native vr gamer the success with this new vorpx update !
I was very concerned about vorpx, and am so relieved about this beta release. Vorpx has a future and that is so important for myself that you can’t even imagine that. Without vorpx my gaming hobby will die !
I hope that the release of Starfield, The last of Us and the Cyberpunk DLC will relieve me in the same way, and will vorp the gaming industrie to the good old times !
I don’t blame Sony anything, if the PSVR 2 will show the Quest 2 fans how ugly and simple their mobile game are, than that will be the last chance for a comeback of PC-VR, for the upcoming years.
The Quest 2 killed the development of many PC-VR games, and the prices of the other Headsets with a HDMI or Displayport were a way to high.
Also that you can’t play many games with Mid-End-PCs in VR was a big problem. If the company’s integrated eye tracking like tobii and we get a frame boost of 30% performance, then we will be able to play the most of the games with a mid-end-pc.
Microsoft started to sell crap WMR Headsets in 2017 and withdraws offended, and did the same with Reverb G2 for now, because of the high price of the Reverb G2.
But it’s still my favorite headset.Valve with Index did the mistake to use 3K Displays instead of 4K, and because of the missing inside out tracking the price was a way to high. But the Fov and the quality of the Headset is great.
Meta wasn’t interested in vr gaming, Mark Zuckerberg is interested in an metaverse, like Facebook 2.0. The reason why he hyped and invested billions of dollars in VR games is a Facebook 2.0 on not VR gaming.
The prestigious of our tools like vorpx and the other is not good enough. We have to get much louder and more aggressive to the native vr gamer. The experience in the games with a VR headset does matter, and not the use of motion controllers, only. The beautiful 3D graphics and the Full-VR in First Person games of vorpx and the depth and complexity of realy good 2D Triple A games are at least as good as Half Life Alyx, which is the best native VR game in my opinion.
Everyone of us can try to convince our whole family to try Vorpx with a xbox controller on Christmas days for example with a a racing game seated on a chair or couch, and try to convince that they talk about that to their friends.
I worry about vorpx, Ralf didn’t tell us a plausible reason why we have still vorpx 21.3.2, and i guess Ralf has received a legal warning and Ralf is not allowed to update vorpx.
The same in Helixvision, it hasn’t got an update since June 2021, and they didnt’t want to tell me why ! Paul Dusler was the developer of the 3dfixmanager and this was the back end of Helixvision, and guess that he left the team last year.
And RealVR has a received a legal warning and has to delete all 2K game mods,too. He released the Cyberpunk, Eldenring, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy 7 and Ghost Wire Tokyo Mods in 2022, and that’s it. I think that he wants 130€ per year for this small list of games is ripping off the VR Fans.
I hope that the new Geo3D, Geo11, Depth3D will shake up the scene and we will survive this crisis !
Yes that’s true, but Valve with their next gen standalone Headset and Sony with the PSVR2 will be still available. And in the B2B market the VR Headsets are industry standard in so many company’s, medicine and science etc. and this is irreversible. But we will have to pay much more for our VR Headsets if PC-VR is only possible with B2B Headsets.
I keep my fingers crossed that Metaverse will be successful, but it needs one more important thing to be interesting for the masses, and that is the topic relationships and sex. Mark added the status of the relationships to Facebook and that was the one special thing that made the whole social media thing interesting for most of the people. The success of Instagram is without sexual allusions in the stories unthinkable, too. Everyone who likes porn in general, and has seen a porn in 4K 3D on a VR Headset will buy a VR Headset very soon. But the masses don’t even know what they are missing. And if that will be possible for couples with webcams live in real time, or webcam boys or girls live in real time, it will make the metaverse successful. This 3D Mode can be used just for dating and to get to know without sex, too.
In my opinion the comic style of the metaverse is bullshit, everyone should buy 3D webcams within a chip that that supports hardware encoding of the stream in real time. With the smaller Headsets looking like glasses and wireless streaming in the future, that’s interesting for the B2B market for conferences or just for video calling in the business sector, too. But in the moment the metaverse is ugly and boring, and even the employees of meta have no desire to use it !
I think the metaverse bubble will attract VR Hostiles for example like the CEO of 2K to develop GTA 6 for VR headsets, and many other VR Hostiles to poured billions of dollars into VR. I think that is the reason why he is fighting again the modding scene. I hope that so many people will have a positive experience with VR before Meta fails, that VR will still survive. VR gaming, dating and working isn’t a nerd thing, the masses will like that but not with this ugly uncomfortable metaverse in the moment.
What you will get with vorpx is more valuable as you can imagine, it’s just amazing. This app is some kind of a miracle ! BUT you will have to learn much more as you can imagine about the technical behind the games before you will be able appreciate vorpx. But you can ask any questions in this board, we are helpful !
Marks Metaverse will crash and destroy the whole meta company, but the community of 3D Gaming here and on MTBS, RealVR and some other projects on Github will survive the Metaverse fiasco, because vorpx and the other community’s are made by love on not by money, that’s it !
reduce the strength of the 3D, and gradually increase over one or two weeks, start in FullVR with 3D Off and play 4-5 hours for example.
increase the value of the FOV of the games to the maximum with tools like Flawless Widescreen and the hacks of Fearless Revolution.
