Vorpx look is emulating the mouse, try to adjust mouse sensitivity ingame until it feels more natural.

QUBE Director’s Cut works flawlessly with udk.exe, it doesn’t have fov controls but it can be tweaked to 120 on the config files, so another one to the list.

I’ll try crysis 2 and 3 with your tweak and see how it works, hopefully crysis 2 will work just as well since both share the same engine.

I’ve found that Contrast works flawlessly with Vorpx by changing the executable to UDK.exe, no graphic issues and great performance . The only issue is that there’s no FOV controls but Flawless Widescreen has a profile for it, so it can be tweaked to look great.

I’ve been checking UE3 games for possible candidates, I’ll try Q.U.B.E DC and Black Site Area 51 next.

BTW Bulletstorm works fantastic, I’m slowly getting a pretty interesting backlog of games to play with Vorpx, thanks!

    @OculusRiftRocks
Great find about Crysis 3, and I have no idea about RE5 sorry.

Something similar happens to me, whenever I hibernate or sleep my computer it loses positional tracking. First I restarted it, then I learnt that by simply logging off and back fixed it too.

However I haven’t had any issues similar to those, and I use Vorpx daily. Try to reinstall all Oculus drivers and firmware, maybe that could help.

Wow I just tried Singularity renaming the executable to UDK.exe and it works great! Also the flawless widescreen is a fantastic tool, thanks for that. Singularity now ranks among my top 5 of vorpx compatible games, it looks great, no graphic issues and an amazing sense of immersion.

I’ve tried myself a game that seems to have support in geometry 3d as is, Estranged. The game looks promising except for some blinking shadow thing that makes it unplayable. I think this game is supported in SteamVR, still I would like to have Vorpx options to tweak it to my liking, but I can’t fix the problematic effect with any changes in the config menu.

Also I wanted to link this page: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvER3Bq0i6sgdHRWYUc3cWpRSFRFYzJIQWEzMkhGdGc&usp=sharing&richtext=true#gid=0 It’s an old compatibility list but it could be helpful while we search for more compatible games.

I will try Bulletstorm later today or tomorrow, I can’t wait to see how well it works, thanks for that one too, it really looks like UE3 games work really well with Vorpx.

I’m talking about a setting inside the vorpx menu, when you’re using geometry 3d there’s a 3d fov setting that can cause disappearing textures if it’s too high.

    I hope it helps!

oh right so you can force vorpx to inject then? do you just change the exe name in windows, I would like to try deus ex 1 and gears of war 1, both those games never injected, but am I right in saying if I change the gears of war exe to armaII exe vorpx will inject?

Yeah any game that you rename to arma2.exe will hook vorpx to believe it’s the real game. Also try UDK.exe, both will hook and work even in geometry 3d, and pls keep us updated of the results.

I was hoping we could build a sort of unofficial centralized list of games not officially supported but still allow for stereo 3d whether that be z3d or geometry3d. I am not talking about games that run but only in 2d. lets be some good beta testers and post our results.

So I will start with one.

    Singularity:
It is Bioshock like FPS game. It runs in geometry3d and z3d. The default FOV is way too low and the ini files are not configurable however you can fix the FOV with a 3rd party program called Flawless Widescreen. The default headtracking too sensitive. Turning it down all the way in the game’s menu helps but that makes a gamepad impossible to use. If you want to use a gamepad just turn down the headtracking sensitivity in the Vorpx menu till it feals right with your in game sensitivity options. Takes some trial and error but you can get it perfect. Game runs smooth as butter and with no judder in z3d max settings with a gtx 970. Some judder in geo3d but im sure that can be worked out I just haven’t tried as it looks and feels fantastic already.

I tried Singularity on Steam and Vorpx hooked it but didn’t recognize the game so no 3d at all, did you do something to make it work?

Great idea! I love Singularity and never got to finish it, so this is great news for me. I recently posted this so I will repost it since I think it applies here:

I recently tested Homefront and it works really well just by changing the main exe for Arma2.exe . There are a few issues with shadows, but I haven’t tweaked much with the config so maybe it can be improved.
I’ve also tried a few more with this trick, call of cathulhu dcoe almost works but crashes when going in game, Timeshift works decently but the 3d effect is lacking and there are shadows issues, still it works really well in z3d but it freezes after trying to apply any config options and also after a few minutes while progressing ingame. Hard Reset seems to miss the headtracking for some reason.

In any case, if you have some game that wanna try in 3d, try the exe and see what it happens.

    1. yeah that’s it.

    2. Hmm actually I may have used console commands to improve fov, check for HL2 commands for improving fov. You can also try the letterbox view instead of 1:1

3 I’m sure I set 1080p, remember to change the perspective to panoramic or widescreen to show those resolutions.

If you have those low fps means that you’re using geo 3d. In that case try lowering AA, vorpx takes a huge hit with any form of AA in many games. Disappearing textures usually is an problem of 3d fov being too high, try to lower it and compensate with either 2d fov or using letterbox format instead of 1:1. Scale issues usually can be fixed by tweaking the 3d effect setting until the scale looks more convincing.

About the red issues, maybe 3d fov setting is too high, it can cause texture issues in geometry mode. Also try other modes like znormal or zadaptative

Check that the game is running at 1080p and try to tweak the ipd setting in the vorpx menu to see if it helps with double images.

I want to know this too, right now I’m not gonna update since it seems to be breaking compatibility with old Unity apps and it doesn’t bring much at a user level.
