Going to tr this tonight. Unfortunately I do Not have a PS3 controller so I’ll have to see if it works with the Xbox 360 controller. Great news about the fov hack. I tried the old one but it still looked odd in non-cinema mode, like everything was really zoomed in. Any way to fix that?
peteostroParticipantNice thanks. I have a wireless xbox 360 controller. when i turn it off, load the game and turn it on the game still sees it. I wonder if I need to unplug the wireless part, launch the game and then plug it back in.
Playin with the keyboard and mouse is painful.
If you get it working please post instructions here
thanks
peteostroParticipantOk, But playing a VR game is WAY easier and more comfortable with a controller (at least for me)
peteostroParticipantRight Stick: Normally such things are solvable by disabling the gamepad in a game’s option menu, which activates vorpX’s built in gamepad emulation. There doesn’t seem to be way to disable the gamepad in the GTA V options menu though. Unless I overlooked something, playing with mouse and keyboard might be the better option in this case.
Really need a fix for this. Game is almost unplayable with the right thumbstick screwed up like this.
Playing with a keyboard mouse is not a good solution since you can not see the keyboard keys with the head set on.wonder if there is an config file to turn the joystick off. How does this work in GTA 4?
Hmm so I found this (for GTA 4) you can Change the OEM name of your controler.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\**YourController**]
Then GTA will not know its an Xbox 360 controller and you should be able to remap it.
Im not in front of my system right now so I cant try it.
anyone want to take a stab? (backup your registry)Apr 15, 2015 at 5:34am in reply to: Can not get games to display on Rift only on main monitor #81053peteostroParticipantI was able to get it to work in GTA 5 by setting the in game setting to monitor 2
it would then launch to the rift when vorpx was started.
Virtual Cinema mode works very well. only thing that is whacked out in the game is the right joystick (head look) its very jerky, not sure whypeteostroParticipantWhat res are you playing at? Should we be setting games to 1920×1080?
peteostroParticipantYup dragon age inquisition
When it got over to the rift, vorpx did give me a message about resolution. I think it said the game needed to be set to 1920×1080. Clicked ok, checked the game resolution and it said 1920×1080. Thought when I was plaing the game before not on rift it was set to a higher res. maybe that’s why its screwing up. I’ll see if I can set the res 1920×1080 with vorpex off.(thought I doubt that res will be a available) maybe that will fix it?peteostroParticipantMy Vorpx upgrade failed and now i can not run vorpx at all.
on Windows 7 X64
I was able to find my original installer. When I launched that it downloaded version 8.0 and installed fine.
If anyone else is having upgrade issues try thatpeteostroParticipantMy Vorpx upgrade failed and now i can not run vorpx at all.

peteostroParticipantpeteostro .. Metro Last Light Redux looks good in Vorpx. Not as sweet as L4D2 but good.
Thanks going to check it out then. Does it support positional tracking? (I.e. Using the oculus camera to track in 3d space)?
peteostroParticipantHave you tried Metro Last Light? Im thinking of picking it up,but want to make sure the experience is playable in VorpX
peteostroParticipantNice! Time to buy
peteostroParticipant>> So does this mean after christmas release?
No.
Great thanks!
peteostroParticipantSo does this mean after christmas release?
peteostroParticipantWow this game looks amazing. Its on sale for 50% on steam right now.
So how well does Vorpx work with it? -
