R3volveParticipant
Just in case you didn’t do that already: you need to import this profile for Skyrim Special Edition. It’s not in the default database yet.
Thanks Ralf, this is exactly what I was looking for
R3volveParticipantAre you guys smoking crack?
there was no 3D at all.
The “Z Buffer” created no noticeable 3D illusion either. You are seeing something that isn’t there.
Try playing another game that has actually 3D Geometry support before you try to convince other people how awesome your garbage is.R3volveParticipantI hope you plan on looking into BF1 when the open beta comes out lol. That could attract a lot of new customers and please the existing ones.
R3volveParticipantRalf, you are a magician you know that?
I ran the game without going through mod organizer and I was easily getting 45fps where I was previously getting 18-20.
I don’t really get it though. I removed all the mods in MO, wiped the ini’s clean and copied them from the vanilla ini files. It should have been a pure vanilla game, but even that was running at the low 18-20 fps range. I will reinstall MO and see if I can get it back up and running.R3volveParticipantMaybe this helps to config Skyrim in vorpx https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/titan-pascal-vs-vorpx-skyrim/
I did look over that previously, but its not really relevant to what I am asking. Even with zero mods installed I have the same massive gap in fps with and without vorpx.
The mods barely make any impact at all. If I run a clean vanilla game I will get only 1-2 frames more than I do with 120 mods turned on.
R3volveParticipant100% worth it for me.
The only game I use it for is Skyrim, this alone was worth the money.
My fiancee used it for her Mass Effect playthrough and she really liked it.
I tried it with BF4, but it doesn’t support geometry 3D, so that was pointless.Honestly I prefer VorpX to a lot of the native VR games. They want you to jerk your head all around and injure yourself to enjoy their new gaming gimmick, whereas with VorpX I retain all my normal controls. If I want to look around all I have to do is move my mouse. If something catches my fancy and I turn my head to look at it, that works too, but I don’t have to injure my neck to control my game.
R3volveParticipantThe Injector version of ENB Boost works with no problems.
I’m running a memory reporting mod and it reports consistent data when running ENB Boost with Skyrim on the monitor or on the Vive via Vorpx.I tried using the injector version again, and WOW was that a bitch.
A few hours of troubleshooting why it wasn’t working and I found the primary culprit.
It’s working now, so thanks for letting me know it was possible. For anyone else really struggling to make it work, when you copy the injector version folder contents into your skyrim folder, you have to also copy the enbhost.exe from the wrapper version into your skyrim folder as well. The newer versions of the injector download don’t include this file in both folders like they used to.
Then fiddle with the ini settings from the enboost to find the combination that has the least stuttering.
Also make sure you add skse_loader.exe if you use skse to the enbinjector.ini as the very first process.Make sure you close anything that might have an overlay, (steam overlay, geforce experience, ect… also dont use any monitoring tools such as MSI afterburner… It doesn’t like that)
I managed to get my game down from using 2.6 gigs of memory indoors down to 1.6 gigs.
Thanks for the info Prinyo
R3volveParticipantWith a great deal of time and patience I have gotten my game relatively stable and good looking, however one thing really bothers me. From what I have read the game loads all textures into both the VRAM and the regular RAM which quickly chews through the hard limit for 32 bit applications.
Supposedly using an ENB will remove the textures from the system memory and only use VRAM, but as many of you already know dll injectors are incompatible with VorpX.
There is a wrapper version of the same thing (I have no idea what a wrapper is) but I cant seem to get it to work… So I am stuck with only using a handful simple mods and low resolution textures or I will constantly hit that hard limit and crash (usually in the form of infinite loading screens).
If anyone has any insight, I would greatly appreciate it.
For now I have resigned myself to waiting for Skyrim Remastered in October to solve all these issues.
R3volveParticipantAh ok, I’ll give that a shot. Maybe I just have a weirdly shaped face. I’ll ask my Fiancee.
Edit: she said “I don’t think so, you look like a white guy.”
R3volveParticipantThanks for the response Ralf.
I did find a post you had said almost the same thing in a different thread about a similar issue.
I tried turning the zoom up, but the cross hair still stays a good full head height above where my eyes naturally look forward.I gather there is nothing I can do about this issue then?
R3volveParticipantI have no idea why I said X offset. I meant Y offset. To move the screen down.
Brain fart.R3volveParticipantCould you give us a ballpark estimate when you think its plausible CV1 compatibility could be available? Do you think its a matter or days, or perhaps weeks, months?
As it stands, I am checking the website every few hours, I am so anxious to play some of my favorite games on the occulus for the first time.
R3volveParticipantJust got my CV1, purchased Vorpx, and got an oculus failed to init error. I just want to confirm that Vorpx is not yet compatible with CV1 correct? I am not just doing something wrong?
