Hello, did anyone of you get the Pro to work with WIN 7 ?
May 18, 2018 at 10:08pm in reply to: VorpX is really slowing down my machine…is this normal (see screenshot). #172928RJK_ParticipantDont know what youre complaining about, looking at your “logs” you have 93% percent of free resources.
RJK_ParticipantThis is not a game but something that will blow your mind. You can fly through Hyperspace with VorpX (wait for the wormholes !!) with these free Reallysklick Screesavers.
Hyperspace (G3D)
is one of the Screensavers that is in 3D.
-Download the free savers from the Link above
-unpack somewhere on your HD
-rightclick the saver you want to play to configure
-click .scr to start
-the associated cloud profile uses cinama mode so you can look around
-use FULL VR and Headtracking OFF if you want to play Guitar or dance or whatever while flying around.
-sometimes saver must be run twice to show on screen
-dont shut off too early, wait for the wormholes to show up!Other savers in that pack that look quite nice too are lattice and Microcosm but Hyperspace is something that not even the newest VR software people produce !
RJK_ParticipantThis is definately something for VR.The game is now FREE (V.1.2)
Aquadelic GT (G3D)
-first patch to V 1.2 if you only have 1.0
-Use Launcher
-Set anti aliasing = OFF
-Disable Shadows
-Dont use “Start New” in Game Menu !
-If image looks messed up use “DISABLE SHADERS” in LauncherNotes: Dont mess with ini settings of the game, the game would not restore them. Somehow the game is quite high resource eating, so you probably must turn almost anything like Bloom ect. (use launcher)
-Try the different camera modes, big fun !
-If you ever wanted to test your motion-sickness-resistance use first person cameraThanks Ralf that you left the older opengl in the D2X-XL profile, please never change it. (It makes many older apps work like this one.)
RJK_ParticipantI dont beleive this, cant you read ?
RJK_ParticipantDont hestiate to report back if you are out of success.
Some errors can be caused by a software that has even been uninstalled .
For Example Kotor 2 broke “all over sudden”. From one day to another i could not run that game anymore. About 28 1/2 hours later and after doing some windows monitoring i found out that another game that i had installed/deinstalled in beetween left some Soundblaster/EAX dlls in my system folder. Kotor 2 on start looks for EAX/SB DLLs, but if there is no soundblaster card it crashes. No good programming, but other software (or leftovers) may act similar.
Hope i am not confusing now, best if you follow dellrifters suggestions first.
RJK_ParticipantIf i should do a guess, i would remove any USB device which you dont need for VR to run (the mouse too if possible) to see if it makes a difference.
(are you using an infrared or other remote/radio controlled keyboard/mouse ? )
Then i would enable/disable USB legacy if availiable in the BIOS for each USB port used seperately. I would also remove the logitech mousedriver and use the windows inbuilt one to see if it helps.May 14, 2018 at 7:43pm in reply to: Feature Request – Game renders in Headset only or window #172839RJK_ParticipantI assume that windowed thing would require vorpx to scale down the image which is not a good idea because of additional resources that need to be used. I rather fiddle around abit until a game runs properly instead of a slower VR driver.
BTW i dont belive a monitor can break feeding it with a signal that it doesnt support, either it displays the image or it does not.RJK_ParticipantThe Matrix: Path of Neo (G3D)
– Geometry/Cinema Mode used in cloud-profile.
– Reduce 3D strength or finetune focal Offset if certain Objects appear too much out of deptch.
– Set Resolution to highest possible in MatrixConfig.ini, (example: resolution=6
– also set Quality=10.RJK_ParticipantHeadtracking not beeing availiable/accessable ingame points strongly to an issue where your software doesnt provide the headtracking properly. With HTC Vive for example you only need to install steamvr, nothing else. The “driver” from HTC installes all kinds of crap on the pc. I am glad i found that out early enough. I would guess your glasses could work the same way. If anything else fails remove or disable the pimax software, make a fresh steamvr install and see what happens.I dont own the pimax so thats all i could guess.
RJK_ParticipantJet Simulator (G3D)
This is a re-release of the 2005 Jet Simulator ISBN: 4019393963836 (english). Dont get confused by “microsoft” printed on the package, it probably has nothing to do with microsoft. The game is also known as “Global War on Terror: Death Strike”.
-The cloud profile is using Geometry / Cinema Mode
-if you wish to connect headtracking to plane movement, switch to Full VR
-game stores resolution in crypted file, so you cant get more then 1024×768 out of it
-some parts of HUD are out of depth depending on 3D Strength, if that doesnt annoy you, you can gain 3D strength even further .RJK_ParticipantTo me that sounds like a positional headtracking issue. I heard of pimax not providing this properly. Try disabling positional headtracking instead of headtracking in main. You find this setting on the ingame headtracking page of VorpX.
RJK_ParticipantI forgot, there is a profile in the cloud for this game.
RJK_ParticipantThe pimax has real good user ratings as far i can read from the internet, but i fear that headtracking and controllers would not be good as with the vive/oculus.
RJK_ParticipantAndrewtsubaro- good to know, thanks for the info.
