rtoastParticipant
I tried it some time last year (beat SoC and clear sky back in the day) after having played theough Call of Pripyat in VR, was incredible, but yeah to my dismay the profile isn’t as compatible with Anomaly as one would assume with it being kind of a mod (I realize it is standalone)
Vorpx always had such good support for the stalker games, I imagine Anomaly gets worked out eventually (at least i hope)
rtoastParticipantI think the new hot-fix update that just released may have broken VR functionality…
I’ve got this new PC and had been playing fine for about a day, this new update hits, I load up Cyberpunk and edgepeek doesn’t work and its 2D (and for some reason looked way worse graphically) so anyone else experience this? Or am I an outlier here…
I’ve currently uninstalled and am re-installing through steam (not sure if there was a way to roll back versions..) hoping that the fresh install won’t have the hotfix embedded into it? then I can switch off auto-updates before it auto-updates.. I’m getting desperate, I’ve had a taste and I need more!
rtoastParticipantI just upgraded my rig so it’s opened whole new worlds for me, i tried red dead it works great! But yea invisible body which isn’t so much of a bother but i also realized that this makes it difficult to tell if you’re stealth/crouched (the camera doesn’t lower to indicate you’re crouching or behind cover which can be problematic…)
Also, as a side note, I’ve noticed GTA5 has the auto-orientation feature which keeps the camera static (during car crashes, rolling, headbob etc..), is there any way to disable this feature?
rtoastParticipantThanks! Just the resource i needed. I’ve tried about a dozen profiles at this point.
The best I’ve been able to achieve is some good z-adaptive/z-normal (no G3D) with the newest grounded profile. Nothing else works (many hook but have no 3D).
rtoastParticipantThanks once again ralf! Amazing reaponse time from a seemingly one man army I don’t know how you do it
rtoastParticipantI played it a bunch in coop and didn’t see any visual glitches but it’s been a while so it might habe broken in an update or something. I’ll probably load it up this week again to try Hellraid and some of the other addon content to see off that works
rtoastParticipantJust figured i should chime in here. There’s actually an ini tweak that enables basically native vr support for Dying light. It resizes the hud and everything.
rtoastParticipantHey you’ve probably already considered this but while Death Stranding is a single player game it does have all that online sharing connectivity so I could see them baking anti cheat stuff into it.
I only played it on ps4, but there is an option to play it offline.
Perhaps a similar mode on PC might prevent it from exiting (though i doubt the anticheat stuff shuts off regardless if its that heavily baked in?)rtoastParticipantUgh, I was trying so hard to get this working last uea3r but the mod crayfishery put together no longer worked with the CV1’s as the controller support broke for oculus touch. Did it finally get fixed or did you have to put a ton of work intogetting it to work?
Last i remember someone was saying to like start the game before putting on the headset until after it loads or something…
rtoastParticipantSorry to bring up an old topic again but i figured it’d be better than starting another one, but anyone give this a shot more recently?
The game is on sale right now on steam, just wondering if the shadow/lighting issues are still wonky
rtoastParticipantOn a side note, Horizon Zero Dawn runs on the same engine, so if anyone gets it working it could be a two birds one stone situation
rtoastParticipantAny more work been done on getting this playable in vorpx? It seemed like a good candidate
rtoastParticipantIt uses the Decima engine which was created for Horizon Zero Dawn. I don’t think the engine has ever been used in a PC release yet so its viability as a Vorpx candidate will probably remain a complete mystery until Ralf can get his hands on it.
That being said… Death Stranding would be pretty incredible in VR. The game is all about atmosphere and sightseeing basically.
rtoastParticipantCurrently playing Shadow Warrior (the reboot that Flying Wild Hog did)
Played through Titanfall 2 previously and it was great. Not sure whats next though i could go straight to shadow warrior 2 but i kinda wanna take a break with something different in between
Jun 28, 2019 at 4:04pm in reply to: Suggestions, best vorpX compatible games to pick up during the Steam Summer Sale? #185345rtoastParticipantI just picked up shadow warrior and shadow warrior 2. Im playing through the first one so i haven’t tried 2 yet, but the first one I’d say is comparable to Titanfall 2.
Other games worth checking out I’ve played through Far Cry 4 which worked great (some minor FOV issues during certain gameplay circumstances like getting into vehicles or using the grappling hook but still totally playable)
Serious Sam 3: BFE looks near native.
Also, on a side note unrelated to Vorpx, check out Dying Light, the devs themselves enabled VR support but unofficially, you just have to tweak so config settings and its basically native VR. Same with Alien Isolation, and theres a really great DOOM3 VR mod that enables full VR with motion clntrols and everything, but you need the DOOM 3 BFG edition to use the mod if i remember correctly.
Also, check out the new Prey (the old one too for that matter), I just finished that game its fantastic but the vorpx update that added support for it came out like a week after i finished the game so I haven’t tried it in VR yet
Edit: oh yea and Dishonored if you haven’t played that, it and its DLC have really good Vorpx support. No vorpx for the sequel yet so I’ve been holding off on playing it in the hopes it gets support in an update
