rtoastParticipant
Lmk how that works i haven’t bought Rage 2 yet i’ll prob wait to see how the Vorpx support goes in the coming months cause Rage 2 seems like an excellent candidate for VR of it could work
rtoastParticipantThanks for resolving the blood dragon issues been waiti g for that one! (Though it was working mostly already)
Any hope for that last homefront game? Its also cryengine, the open world one… fingers crossed
rtoastParticipantIm not sure this is limited to pimax, as you describe a similar problem oculus users seem to be hitting as well… im thinking something or some update broke the mod’s functionality?
I have a similar issue except instead of the screen in the hmd freezing i get a black screen with the hourglass timer in the bottom right that just rotates forever. Though the game is still running cause i can hear it
rtoastParticipantIve just run in to this same issue anyone find a solution? Im thinking the mod maybe relies somewhat on vorpx’s implementation of the motion controller support but maybe a recent update broke it by creating some kind of conflict.
The reason i suspect such is the case is because i tried disabling vorpx touch/vive support in the in game menu but it kills the mod’s motion controls as well…
Not expecting Ralf to look into this since he has no hand in the mods development but it does explicitly require Vorpx so hopefully the mod itself gets updated because full VR motion controls/gun manipulation sounds like the holy grail (well after g3d is achieved) but sadly i missed the boat on the window of time that it was working
rtoastParticipantDude thanks for the heads up cant wait to try it out
rtoastParticipantActually I’ve been playing it and FOV is fine and so is the UI/HUD.
Like i said, it’s basically on par with native support, cutscenes are still on rails so if that gives you motion sickness its not entirely resolvedrtoastParticipantJust a heads up for everyone eager to play Dying Light.
I was one of those people who had Dying Light on my wishlist for geo3D support for forever.
Techland however secretly added VR support in one of the recent patches. I feel like it was stealth released cause they don’t want to “officially” support it.
But there’s a tweak you can make in one of the config files that will enable VR and it works amazingly well. Probably my favorite VR experience next to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
It doesn’t have motion/touch support but in terms of “presence” or scale, it basically looks as good as any native VR game or the best possible geo3D vorpx game.
I am aware that this same tweak was viable around the time the rift DK2’s were released but broke when CV1 came out. However this recent update added it back in and can be played on the cv1
rtoastParticipantMicrosoft Store games are protected against hooking into them. Unless the game is released as a regular Windows game at some point (e.g. via Steam), don’t count on vorpX support.
Awe that’s a bummer to hear, i was getting my hopes up forState of Decay 2 support at some point :(
rtoastParticipantOkay thanks a lot I’ll mess around with it some more and see if remaping the 3d toggle to left trigger helps.
Im curious though what a game like far cry does thats different from say, a game like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series where it also has a 3d gun model and aiming down sights but for some reason still manages to avoid this issue.
I suppose this was kind of explained already in the previous post but its sort of hard to wrap your head around it
rtoastParticipantOkay thanks I think I missed that part but I’ll check into that when I get home!
rtoastParticipantOkay thanks for the response 1440×1080 is the only one I could test in the control panel that seemed to work and that I could add. I’m on a 4k tv as a monitor ill mess around with it some more after work today.
Again kudos with this update I have plenty of VR to play around with now so no worries on looking into the blood dragon issue in particular take your time and enjoy the holidays!
rtoastParticipantHey Ralf, first and foremost want to congratulate you on an incredible monumental job with this update! You’re like the only one out there fighting the good fight to provide the VR experience that users actually want and the features you’ve packed into this update are nothing short of astounding.
Now onto the inevitable tech support questions haha.
Farcry 4 is working great, but for some reason I can’t get blood dragon to offer geo3d, I’ve tried switching it to dx11 in the in game menus or launching the dx11 executable to launch the game but still no dice.
Is there anything I may be doing wrong? Also this might be a dumb question, but do we need to add the custom resolutions to the nvidia control panel in order for vorpx to utilize them? Or will it force a recommended resolution that we havent manually added support for?
I get you probably need a long overdue vacation after this release so if it takes a while for a response that’s totally okay take your time haha

As for the alien isolation stuff, I just checked that out the other day and can confirm it works great (solves the shadow/lighting glitch that was inherent with the corp profile)

rtoastParticipantI played through both DLC’s for the first Dishonored with VorpX in preparation for the sequel. It was incredible in VR
