That should apply to almost any first person game with mouselook and a way to adjust its FOV. You can typically check the latter in the PC Gaming Wiki.

Just in case you overlooked the stickied Full VR games for beginners list in the general forum. Requirements for this list are rather strict, i.e. it contains only officially supported first person games with Geometry 3D where vorpX can adjust the FOV automatically.

As always G3D is obvioisly relatively demanding. Even more so combined with your Pimax 8K. If you suspect performance issues, please check the performance optimization guide in the vorpX help. I can’t really give you any other tips than the ones that are listed in the help. Also make sure to look at the Pimax recommendations when you check the vorpX help.

As much as I’m willing to answer as many questions here as possible, it would be great if you could limit your questions to those that aren’t answered in the help anyway. Makes things easier not only for me, but also for you. Thanks!

Only Source 2 engine games strictly require 4:3 resolutions due to the FOV flicker with other aspect ratios. The Bioshock games use Unreal Engine, not Source 2. To fully use the wider FOV of your Pimax you should run them with widescreen resolutions on Pimax 5K/8K.

The aspect ratio has zero impact on DirectVR head tracking rotation. DirectVR head tracking directly translates tracker rotation into camera rotation in the game, pretty much like it works in native VR games. This translation is not affected by the image aspect ratio in any way.

Source 2 engine games (incl. Dear Esther) have to be run at 4:3 resolutions, otherwise the FOV flickers. Please make sure to set a 4:3 resolution (e.g. 1600×1200 or 1920×1440) in the game’a video options. vorpX displays a message stating that everytime you run the DirectVR scanner.

I understand that you seem to have problems that apparently make you believe the Bioshock Infinite Direct VR head tracking is not 1:1. I can however only reply that this is plain and simple impossible, provided the scan was successful.

Also you would be the only one for whom it would be wrong within the last three years. Please consider that it might just be some issue specific to you, just as your original Pimax problem that you as quickly as wrongly attributed to vorpX.

If you believe the scanned head tracking does not work correctly for you, you can simply not run the scan and use the default mouse based head tracking, which you can adjust to your liking.

If that is true, the rotaton scan must have failed. Memory scanned head tracking is always perfectly 1:1 if the scan succeeded. Impossible that it’s not. The rotation angles received from the tracker are directly translated to ingame camera rotation. No margin for error, it cannot be off – provided the scan was successful.

The game has DirectVR head tracking. Run th scanner (ALT+L). Afterwards tracking is perfectly 1:1. Memory sanner head tracking is always perfect 1:1 since the tracker rotation is directly translated into camera rotation.

vorpX cannot automatically adjust the FOV for every game, so again the same answer as always when you ask this qustion: please check the “Essential Hints Guide” in the help for the various methods and workarounds that exist to deal with FOV in general and the “1-2-3 Game Setup” for a quick method to set games up for Full VR mode that do not allow to adjust their FOV at all. The method described there essentially uses vorpX’s image zoom to make up for missing FOV.

This answer is the same for every game where no method exists to change the actual game FOV. I cannot give you any other answer to this questio unfortunately, no matter how often you ask it. Sorry again.

Alternatively you can play in Immersive Screen Mode, which I would highly recommend in this case for a number of reasons. Should also be the default for the game.

If you use anything else than Windows Defender, I would suggest to deinstall your AV software. Windows Defender is pretty good these days. It kicks in automatically when you uninstall third party AV programs.

Please disable fpsVR and everything else that hooks into games similar to vorpX to avoid any potential problems. vorpX has a built-in FPS counter (ALT+F).

Just to save you major pain: dual boot systems with Windows 10 are dangerous if you don’t know exactly what you are doing.

The Windows 10 fast shutdown/boot system leaves hard disks in state that Windows 7 does not understand when you power off the PC. You have to disable it or you will experience severe data loss.

Yes, of course. You should generally make sure that your Windows 7 is up-to-date. I don’t really think it’s on OS issue though, probably something really weird in regard to your individual config. As said before the game never was known to even remotely have hooking issues.

BTW: https://developer.oculus.com/hardware-report/pc/ . Scroll down to the OS table for some numbers you might find interesting. :)

Glad that helped. No such button, but I did it manually.

BTW: Check this list for games that demonstrate vorpX’s full potential without much configuration.

Hence the most important ones are also displayed for the first five minutes or so after a game starts in the top left of corner of the desktop mirror image. :)
