Please send a mail with your new request code to the mail address that is shown there like the first time you authorized vorpX. You will then get a new key.

That’s probably caused by either the “Aspect Ratio Mode” setting ore the “Image Zoom” setting. Setting “Aspect Ratio Mode” to “Letterbox” and “Image Zoom” to 1.0 should solve this.

vorpX uses the mechanisms that the headsets provide for that. Both the Oculus API and OpenVR have explicit calls to send them the rendered image and then do the screen sync themselves.

The vorpX FPS counter isn’t 100% precise though. If you get this exact same behavior in many games, it’s probably just the FPS counter not displaying the 100% correct value.

The value you should optimize for is not the “Direct Mode FPS” but the “Game FPS” value. That’s the impprtant one. Ideally it should also show the full headset framerate. That will be seldomly de the case though. The lower the Game FPS is, the more likely it is that the end result isn’t 100% smooth. Try to reach at least 50fps.

Please double check for any program that also hooks into games and thus may cause a conflict with vorpX. Typical cases would be: virus scanner, GPU/CPU utilites, some chat programs, game video streaming/recording software and generally everything that can show notifications in games.

The easisest to trouble shoot this is to disable everything that runs in the background and see whether that helps.

After a Windows reinstall you likely will need a new key. That isn’t a problem though. If necessary, just send your new request code like the first time to get a new key.

if you didn’t receive a download link from MyCommerce after you tried to purchase, your order did not go through. Please contact support |at| vorpx com. This way we can provide you with an alternative purchase method.

If your order went through, you should have seen a download link on the last page of the order process and shortly afterwards have received two mails from MyCommerce, who are handling sales. So I would guess your order probably didn’t go through.

You can check whether you were charged (which is highly unlikely) in your PayPal or credit card account.

if against the odds you were charged, please contact support |at| vorpx com. This way we can also provide an alternative purchase method if MyCommerce doesn’t work for you.

vorpX has a built in gamepad emulator similar to Xpadder to deal with such issues. You can configure it per game in the vorpX ingame menu.

The sync options are related to how the actual game render thread and the direct mode render thread, which does async timewarp and sends the final image to the headset, work together.

In the majority of games “Fast” or “Safer” will cause issues like dropped frames and other even more undesirable artifacts. There are a few exceptions, so you may experiment. But only “Safe” ensures that everything is synced correctly at any time.

Your order is marked as “failed” in the database of our payment service MyCommerce, hence they did not send you anything.

You almost certainly were not charged for this failed attempt. If against all odds you were charged (you can verify that in your PayPal account), please send your PayPal receipt to support |at| vorpx com and we will clarify the matter.

That is REALLY odd. Deus Ex: HR is one of the test games here that are checked quite regularly, last time yesterday incidentally (GTX 1080, which finally arrived here yesterday, is great for vorpX BTW).

Please try to reset game settings to default, set resolution to either 1280×1024 or 1600×1200 and do not force AA in your graphics driver (just in case).

Usual test case here is Sarif HQ, which is a good test area since it shows a wide range performance wise. With minimum VR spec hardware (GTX970) and Geometry 3D in DX11 at 1600×1200 that should be OK performance wise mostly with a quite heavy performance drop (~20fps) in parts of the main lobby.

Anything below the result described above definitely is not right.

Apart from that: what helps quite a bit performance wise is using the max. ingame FOV and compensate for the rest with the vorpX inmage zoom instead of using the FOV set by the vorpX game optimizer. That is basically true for any game, but especially for Deus Ex. Enhances both performance and image quality at the price of visible bars with low zoom settings.
