Here you find everything you want to know in regard to the upcoming changes:
VorpX Update to Add Oculus Rift DK2 Support and More – Skyrim Positional Tracking Demo (video)
RalfKeymasterThis is not about missing polish. We have our DK2s for two weeks now, a blink of the eye in software development. The DK2 update is just not ready.
The moment I know a timeframe, you will know it too.
Thanks for your amazing patience.
RalfKeymasterHi Gravelyn,
We received our DK2s merely ten days ago. All I can say today is that we will be as fast as possible. Stay tuned, more substantial info will follow soon.
RalfKeymaster, I think it isn’t too much to ask to be able to provide timely support. I also didn’t say that it was behind or that I demanded it toda
It’s not always that easy unfortunately, especially not such a short time after the DK2 release. What I can say today is that we will be as fast as possible. Some things are still a little rough around the edges though, so it will take some more time. Thanks for your patience.
@ becozier: I removed the double post, just in case you are wondering.
RalfKeymaster@ dudeofdur: You almost certainly have version 0.64. The 0.5 displayed in the installer is a glitch. It does not display the correct version number. Sorry for the confusion.
The DK2 ready update has not been released yet. Your vorpX will auto update once it is available.
RalfKeymasterYes, the next version of vorpX will have correct shadows in Skyrim.
RalfKeymasterI will upload the video here soon, just too much else to do currently. A release date for the update will be announced shortly, it’s just not 100% ready for prime time yet.
RalfKeymasterNot sure why portrait mode does not work. Head tracking does not work currently with the DK2 (see the original post above ;))
RalfKeymasterAlready done for the next release. The version number will be always visible in the config app.
Glad you have it working as far as currently possible. For the real thing you will have to wait for the next version though. Won’t take too long.
Editing posts indeed doesn’t really work with this forum software, sorry.
RalfKeymasterAdaptive Z-Buffer has an inbuild auto focus, similar to how you eyes work. It automatically focuses on the image center. Other than that both modes work similar.
Bioshock Infinite is a DirectX 11 game, which currently does not have Geometry 3D support in vorpX. This is one of the enhancements that will be available with the next update.
RalfKeymasterYou can also navigate to the vorpX install folder and check the file properties of vorpControl.exe. If you bought vorpX recently, you have version 0.64. This version does not use the SDK 0.4 yet, the update will be available shortly. Stay tuned.
Regarding your main issue please check my answer to your post in the DK2 first aid thread. With the settings that are displayed in the screenshot you posted, vorpX cannot work with the DK2! Details are in my earlier answer above.
RalfKeymasterThanks for posting this! A guide would be highly welcome.
RalfKeymasterIf you bought vorpX recently, you have version 0.64. The version number is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen whenever you run a game with vorpX.
Regarding your main issue: first and foremost please make sure that vorpX Control (not vorpX Config) is running. It displays a tray icon in your taskbar. If you verified that, and still nothing works, please check the trouble shooting thread above thoroughly. Especially the part about programs that might interfere with vorpX.
Also please DISABLE “Headtracking triggers vorpX” in the config app. It is enabled in the screenshot you posted below. vorpX will not work on the DK2 with this enabled currently. It might be best to reinstall vorpX to reset everything to default.
If that doesn’t solve the issue, please send a mail with your system specs and the games you tried to support |at| vorpx com for some individual trouble shooting.
RalfKeymasterIf you bought vorpX recently, you have version 0.64. The version number is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen whenever you run a game with vorpX.
RalfKeymasterThat is caused by vorpX not knowing the right parameters for the DK2 lens distortion correction. The DK2 ready update will solve this. Stay tuned.
