ParticipantIgnore my previous post, was testing out the Cosmos on other games (Half Life Alyx & Assetto Corsa) and the Cosmos is just not very good compared to the Rift S, performance wise on those games it seems ok but the picture clarity is rubbish, guess i’ll just keep it as an emergency backup.

ParticipantHas anyone got this mod working good with a Vive Cosmos, if so what are your headset settings, Steam vr settings, Vorpx settings? i have one and an Oculus Rift S, i can get it working good on the Rift but on the Cosmos it is pretty bad, very shaky/jittery. My Rift is pretty beaten up, still working for the moment but just in case it breaks i would like to have the Cosmos as a backup.

ParticipantIt surprises me too that VorpX doesn’t have as much recognition as it should, that i can play RDR2 in VR & it looks & performs really good even on my system (5700XT) makes it worth the price without even taking into account all the other games it supports, desktop viewer etc plus the free Cyberpunk mod looks & performs really good for me too, i did have to change some graphics options & choose my own resolution to get them looking & performing as well as they can on my system rather than letting the mod decide & it’s amazing, i like driving around really slow in the Murk Man car as it has the best inside car view imo just taking in the sights, i can get lost in the worlds of RDR2 & Cyberpunk for hours at a time all thanks to VorpX.

ParticipantRe RDR2 the camera does slightly change but it is hard to notice, if you have a weapon drawn it makes it easier as the weapons are held in a lower position or simply change the view to 3rd person & back to see if you are crouching, i would also like to be able to see Arthur’s body, his holsters etc, would be cool.

Participant@Ralf It’s not crashing when i leave the map now so no clue why it was crashing before when exiting the map.

Participant@Ruchir Pretty sure you just want to use the standalone mod as it gives you a warning to turn VorpX off if it is on when you start with the mod installed.
As for bypassing the standalone mod Ralf said in a previous post “You can temporarily disable/enable the mod by moving vpxCP2077.asi from [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins to your desktop and back.”

Participant@Ralf, that is the data archive sent, hopefully it helps.

ParticipantSmall workaround for the map crashing that is working for me at the moment, when leaving map instead of going straight back to the game use the skip time function & skip time for an hour or two, doing that automatically goes back to game without crashing for me.

ParticipantAh, there was another update on top of the 1.5 update, i guess that messed things up.
Zel1984
ParticipantJust installed the updated mod for the latest version of CP2077 & now i can’t get proper VR working, it just goes into the big flat screen in front of my face, no head tracking either, pressing edgepeek button does nothing, using Oculus Rift S, anyone know how to get it working properly?
Zel1984
Participant@Ralf Thanks for the camera change tip, didn’t know there was a hood camera, works perfectly.
Zel1984
ParticipantNo i don’t have ray racing on, thanks for the suggestion though.
I’ll try what Ralf said & just change the camera or get on a motorbike or simply run.

ParticipantThank you for this mod, i’m having a blast, at first i was just playing it sort of like a normal FPS game but now i have the double jump & mantis blades & jumping about & slicing up some maelstrom never gets old, using some of the hacks like suicide or the grenade detonation when they are in a group is also fun, limbs flying everywhere in glorious VR.
One small problem i run into sometimes is when driving in a car it can become very bright outside to the point i can barley see anything through the windshield, other than that the mod is great.

ParticipantThe only way to get the game looking & performing well for me using my Rift S was to set a custom resolution, at first i set it to the individual eye resolution of the Rift S which was 1280×1440 but it works better by setting the resolution to 1440×1700 which is the resolution of the Vive Cosmos, i have most RDR2 settings on ultra, high or medium with only a couple of setting on low, i use the resolution scale slider & go as high as i can while still getting good performance (for me i go up to x1.5), game looks & performs great (except in Sait Denis where i just turn the resolution scale down once to x1.25).
I had to use a program called Custom Resolution Utility (which is free to download) in order to set & use that resolution.
I also use the Oculus Tray Tool with Default Super Sampling set to 1.5 & Default ASW Mode set to 45hzh forced.

ParticipantDecided to try the resolution of the Vive (1440×1700) while using the Rift S & it works much better, pretty much no noticeable side bar parts when turning my head now making the experience feel even smoother.
