You can use cyberpunk2077 profile. For hogward and all game that work in dx12
So, I downloaded the mod.
Went through the tutorial. Got the green tick with all the gestures. Started the game and not all the controls work.
The trigger controls do work to access the Vorpx menu.
The headset works to look around the game.
But the oculus controller buttons including thumbstick don’t work.
Also, when I change any graphics settings in the game menu it doesn’t seem to make a difference in the oculus. I presume the Vorpx menu overrides the game system settings.
I can use my mouse and keyboard.
I’ve tried re-installing cyberpunk through STEAM. I’ve turned off theatre mode. I’ve tried reinstalling the vorpx mod. I’ve tried stationary boundary and room boundary.
Well I am pleased to report that I have managed to solve the issue. After a re-install I noticed that the judder was not present until I installed Cyber Engine Tweaks. Looking at the log files for CET I noticed that it was complaining about being unable to open a database file, so I wondered if it was some kind of weird file location or permissions issue, and had the thought that maybe it didn’t like being on a secondary drive. So I cleared up some space on my main C drive, and moved it across, and voila I am now getting stable 60 FPS in game and 90 in the headset!
So in case it helps anyone else, if you are having problems, you might want to try moving Cyberpunk 2077 to your system drive.

Hi all,
I am still trying to troubleshoot why I am getting such unusably low performance with VorpX (particularly with Cyberpunk 2077). I have looked through the VorpX log file and have noticed that there are a large number of repeated warnings appearing at the end of the file – here is an excerpt, but there are many more instances in the file:
WRN: OpenXRDevice: eye offset requested without valid view state.
WRN: OpenXRDevice: eye offset requested without valid view state.
WRN: WaitUntilMicro took too long: 27
WRN: OpenXRDevice: eye offset requested without valid view state.
WRN: OpenXRDevice: eye offset requested without valid view state.
WRN: WaitUntilMicro took too long: 42
WRN: WaitUntilMicro took too long: 25
WRN: WaitUntilMicro took too long: 112
WRN: WaitUntilMicro took too long: 212
Does this shed any light on the what the problem might be? What would be causing these “took too long” warnings?
There is also an “ERR: isWindowsVersionOrGreater: 10.0.19041.2364” error at the start, despite my Windows being fully up to date (as far as the Windows Updater is concerned anyway, and my OS Build is showing as 19044.2486). Could that be another clue?
Thanks,
Alex
@mr_spongeworthy is it perhaps hardware specific? I’ve had HAGS on but I’ve only been playing CP2077 (VorpX Standlone Mod) and HL2 VR Mod. These titles (fortunately) dont seem to be affected
Seems only the updated CET needed for my CP2077 setup so VR working again. Unfortunately, turning on DLSS3 crashes the game (which is DirectVR) and doesnt allow it to start again without manually turning DLSS3 off by a direct edit to the the ini file
CET update has been released on the github page (see Ralf’s comment above) and also:

Thank you, matteo39!
From my understanding, it’s not the profile that’s the problem, but getting around the Dead Space 2008 native profile in vorpX, as it references ‘Dead Space.exe’ which is the same .exe as the remake (i.e., Dead Space ‘2023’). To my knowledge, there is no way in vorpX to by-pass/deactivate/turn off native vorpX profiles / an error message is given when trying to add an already used .exe from a native vorpX profile to a different profile (i.e., cant download, say, Mass Effect Andromeda, or Cyber Punk 2077 etc. profiles from the cloud and assign the same .exe (i.e., ‘Dead Space.exe’). Also tried renaming the remake .exe to something else and assign the cloud profile to that .exe and I’m confident these are the steps I tried and it did not work. That said, I will try again report back!
Thanks again for this ongoing support, folks!
Best,
Ben
Just installed the stand-alone mod today and unfortunately I only get a flatscreen in front of me rather than immersed in a 3d environment…
but I am curious if the very recent DLSS update broke things? they’re still calling it v1.6.1 but have made changes (likely to video pipeline dlls no less?)
at any rate, I’m using:
– a Vive Pro 2 (configured mod for Steam)
– RTX 4090
– alder lake cpu
Hi Ralf or anyone else, does no one have any suggestions of anything I could possibly do to try and narrow down what the cause of this might be? I have just updated to the latest beta release of VorpX (I did a full uninstall and reinstall), which may have improved things very marginally, but nowhere near the point of it being playable. Displayed frame rate in Cyberpunk 2077 is now around 30 for the game and around 70 – 80 for the headset, but the same problem persists that the actual update rate from turning the headset appears below 1 fps. Note that the game was started from within the virtual desktop with my main monitor turned off. Turning the 3D mode to Z3D or to Off has no noticeable impact and changing the game graphics settings between low and ultra also has very little impact.
In case it helps to isolate the problem, the poor performance is present to some extent even in the main menu of the game before a level is loaded.
Also, and PLEASE!! not to detract from this discussion, as the Vorpx solution is ultimately the best and we need this, I have this running OK with ReShade*.
*Install with ReShade.exe installer from product website (free); run Virtual Desktop; use ‘Half SBS’ (under ‘3D Options’); then run the game (!!be sure to turn off ‘Enable the steam overlay while in-game, and ‘Use desktop game theatre while SteamVR is active’ by right clicking on game in steam left panel prior to running). It looks great – while there is ‘no profile’ it looks pretty 3d to me in that screen. Problem I’m running into is CRAZY CHOPPINESS in some parts of the game – my system spikes for a long period of time and sometimes gives a video card driver version error message. I’m thinking its video card driver and dx12 compatibility issue. Had same issue with Cyber Punk 2077 and Vorpx when it first launched, but when a native profile came out, all was fixed by just running Vorpx, as Vorpx changed the settings appropriately. Hence, the note above saying Vorpx with native support will be best option!!!!
I share this because I have the same concern as your initial comment – i only want to game in 3d as well. I have settled for a screen in VR headset for some titles. The smoothness is nice, but no 3d. This ReShade is a good option. IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY (as of yesterday) WITH THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL!
Just sharing this other option for when Vorpx doesnt work at the time.
Ben
This is a great question! Thank you!
I found that I cannot set the (2023) ‘Dead Space.exe’, as the local (Vorpx) profile for original (2008) Dead Space is the same (i.e., ‘Dead Space.exe’). How can this be bypassed? Im using the Cyber Punk 2077 profile as a base and trying to set the path but wont let me given the existing Dead Space profile exe.
I tried renaming the (2023) ‘Dead Space.exe’, and no hook plus Vorpx says its trying to hook to ‘Dead Space.exe’ regardless of the name change.
Best,
Ben
Hello Friends!
Last weak i tride to set up the Vorpx VR mod on Cyberpunk 2077, but problems arise with the synchronization of images for both eyes. And terribly low FPS.
The settings in the game are minimal. But my computer is not weak. amd 3950x rtx3080ti.
I have set the resolution in the game to 2160*2160
The FPS indicator shows 25 fps in the game and 32 fps for the helmet.
My helmet is PICO 4, in the Vorpx settings I chose OpenRX.
Connection via VD.
So far I have no idea how to solve this. Please tell me which way to dig .
Ralf, what about constant lags after 15-20 minutes of playing, did you even read our posts ? which are slightly higher. Not a single version of VorpX is not playable with Cyberpunk 2077
When will you fix the problem ?
Cyberpunk 2077,
Gta v,
Red dead redemption 2,
Witcher 3 (early version)
