😂 I’ll put in a pre order now for the book 😂
Honestly, if I compare GTA v, red dead etc to luke ross’ I’m hard pressed to find many differences
The auto edge peek for cut scenes is a godsend 😂
And the gesture controls are so cool in CP2077
I can’t understand why Luke Ross gets all the glory
That dude charges 10 a month
Vorpx is a one time payment and does…..so goddamn much
Deserves far more recognition
Also…..interesting story you say? (raises an eyebrow)
I mean it works but its far from perfect. I have some general feedback id like to share.
Lets see umm where to start
1 Either Detach or make it an Option to Detach Look from Aim.
2 Make an Option for Left side or Right Side Dominate controllers (where all it does is swap the scheme to mirriored on the other hand.
3 It would be great to have a single controller be the motion control for Aim, currently its your head thats aiming and not your hand, this makes it not only confusing but weird and funky af!
4 Left side hand should be grenade throw, not the same hand your trying to fire with
5 make an option to force view back to center or
6 make an option to force directional movement based on current head track positoning (this would make it feel more fluid in game. Currently you have three axis of movement. Bi-Lateral, Head, and where ever the right stick is pointing. This causes a Huge Conflict and results in more confusion)
7 there was no option for pulling up Phone, Zoom Funtion and Hacking Tool(cyberware).
8 Unbind reload and force reload to a Right Handed Gesture/Motion to a Outward (Counter Clock) Wrist Flick. (This feels more natural and is Extremely intutive for anyone that has ever fired a real Mag Feed weapon (IE: Rifles and Handguns))
On to the App. Or lack there of. Since I have that freeware to just try it; it might be better with the full 40-50$ software but the App needs to have a simple easy to use 1click GUI to simply Remove the Mod and/or Reinstall the mod. So players may choose to easily go back to straight PC. Shouldn’t be that difficult all the files are in
steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins
Just move the vpxCP2077 folder and the vpxCP2077.asi to something like steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\Backup for Vorpx or where ever the VorpX install is at.
Next give us the option to install VorpX Where we want to. Again this might be the case with the full install of VorpX and what you all are calling VorpX is just a PluginMod that should probably be Called VorpX CP77 Plugin or something
The Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework that the mod uses has an option to turn off AA. The mod doesn’t touch that, but maybe you did earlier?
Either:
Open the CET menu with ‘Page Down’ (key the mod sets, may differ if you used CET before and assigned another one). In the CET menu you can enable/disable AA.
Or:
If that doesn’t work out, e.g. because you forgot your CET menu key: uninstall the mod, then delete the entire [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins folder and reinstall the mod.
Remove the version.dll from [CP2077]\bin\x64. It belongs to the Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework that the mod uses.
Since a lot of other mods also use this framework the uninstaller doesn’t remove it to not break other mods. Shouldn’t crash nomally though unless you have removed other parts of the framework manually.
I decided to boot up cyberpunk (pancake) today to check out the 1.5 updates and realized I still had the vorpx standalone mod installed (It started in VR mode). So I quit and found the uninstall file, and removed it. Cyberpunk would not start now (nothing happens after pressing the “play” button). So next I tried to verify the files in steam, which said one file needed to be fixed and it seemed to have done so. So I tried again after a reboot. Same problem. Ok, this sucks but I went ahead and entirely removed the install, rebooted and reinstalled from scratch waiting for several hours. Went to start cyberpunk again and… same problem.
Short version: After removing the standalone vorpx mode and reinstalling from scratch, cyberpunk no longer starts. Hoping someone has experienced this and knows a solution.

It’s entirely standalone. vorpX should be paused or exited while using the mod. The next vorpX will include the mod functionality.
The mod tweaks a few setiings, you can simply restore them in game options. The usual vorpX restore option is not included since that’s part of the vorpX config app.
To temporarily disable the mod without uninstalling it move vpxC2077.asi from [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins to your desktop.
Even with the latest mod downloaded, 2077 with latest hotfix installed, Direct VR in Vorpx menu, I am having a lot of problems on Oculus Quest 2 with both Oculus and Steam VR.
1) I see a flat screen that is not VR at all.
2) If I press double grip I seem to zoom into the VR world, is that how it is supposed to work? My joystick and controls are all messed up. I push left joystick to the left to move forward.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the mod several times, still no luck.
Sounds an awful lot like some hooking conflict. Either with a Reshade mod in case you have one installed. Check for any d3d11.dll, d3d12.dll, dxgi.dll in the [CP2077]\bin\x64 folder. Remove any dll called that way.
If that is not the problem, there might be a tool running that also hooks into games. Basically anything that can show an overlay in games might cause a conflict.
@Ruchir Pretty sure you just want to use the standalone mod as it gives you a warning to turn VorpX off if it is on when you start with the mod installed.
As for bypassing the standalone mod Ralf said in a previous post “You can temporarily disable/enable the mod by moving vpxCP2077.asi from [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins to your desktop and back.”
Dang. Ok. This is where I’m stuck now. When I load either the Enter Room, Menu, Game (anywhere), the entire screen moves along with my head.
This was actually happening back when I was using regular Vorpx with the default profile, which caused me to end up abandoning it (even though I’d already had several CP2077 hours using regular Vorpx, which was life-changing and why I’m working so hard to get this to work! It was amazing!)
I was hopeful that this new mod would fix it, but sadly back here now. Any ideas? (and thanks for all your help so far)
Hey Ralf,
I reinstalled Windows, CP2077, and today’s update. I think I might know what was happening – I don’t think my graphics adjustment were “taking” for some reason last time.
Unfortunately, now when I try to load the game, I get this: ‘Unable to load vpxCP2077.asi. Error 126.
Any ideas? Already uninstalled, redownloaded, and reinstalled your mod.
OK, thanks. That’s valuable information. What I need now are a few things that might help me to reproduce the problem:
1. Your Cyberpunk config file:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\Usersettings.json
2. The vorpX log file directly after you encountered a crash
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\temp\vorpx.log
if you can’t see the AppData folder, enable “Show hidden files” in Windows Explorer.
3. A savegame with this issue (one is enough) and the user.gls file from:
C:\Users\[Username]\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
4. The entire cyber_engine_tweaks folder (has to be the entire folder!) from
[CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins
Please pack these into a ZIP file and send it to support(at)vorpx(dot)com as an e-mail attachment. With some luck that will help me to reproduce the problem.
You can temporarily disable/enable the mod by moving vpxCP2077.asi from [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins to your desktop and back.
As far as the issue is concerned:
First and foremost: please try without any changes in the mod settings aside from potentially changing the resolution. There is no need to tinker with settings, the mod works as intended without any changes in the settings menu.
That aside:
If that doesn’t help, it would be great if for testing purposes you could start a new game with no other mod installed than the VR mod and check whether the issue also occurs with that new game, especially if you had other mods installed before, Most importantly: please let me know whether that helps or not.
I’m totally in the dark as far as this issue is concerned and unfortunately haven’t gotten any feedback in that respect so far. Since the issue popped up out of the blue after the 1.5 patch without any actual changes to the mod aside from some gesture related fixes, it’s possible that the issue isn’t actually triggered by the mod, but by a corrupted savegame, e.g. from some pre 1.5 mod that stored settings in the savegame that the patch 1.5 doesn’t like.
Long story short: To help you I need your help.
I’m one who’s used to having the right words for the right situations but I can’t seem to do that for this comment…Your VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077 has not only inspired my creativity but has changed my life for the best. I was very mad that your hard work was not being properly recognized but then again, greatness takes time to approach the light. Thank you Ralf for this. I appreciate your hardwork and consistency.
You’re my hero.
Just installed the updated mod for the latest version of CP2077 & now i can’t get proper VR working, it just goes into the big flat screen in front of my face, no head tracking either, pressing edgepeek button does nothing, using Oculus Rift S, anyone know how to get it working properly?
