Version alpha 9c is available. Adds compatibility with Cyberpunk 2077 2.02.
Users of the most recent vorpX beta receive an incremental auto-update, standalone users have to redownload and reinstall the mod.

beemzyParticipantIf you try to run it without steam vr all you get is a super wide angle screen in front of you and no vr immersion… This isnt correct. In steam vr it is near perfect usng stand alone mod but aliasing and a bit steppy. Can anyone suggest how to get it working well?
Have you tried running the mod’s config to set it to Oculus with Airlink? Presumably you need to connect your Quest to your PC’s Oculus app using Airlink, and then you launch CP2077 which the mod will set to VR via Airlink? I dont have Steam CP2077 but my Steam Starfield launches in a way similar to this
After one successful launch the app will appear in your Oculus Airlink home page as a frequently used app so that after, you can launch from there each time you make an Airlink connection

bedemeadParticipantI’m new to modern VR but used to use old-style stuff with passive glasses with 3rd party software to play DirectX games. I want to play with stuff again, but I’m concerned that there won’t be enough VR games to keep me entertained, and I want to be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 & Baldur’s Gate 3 right away.
I have about a $1000 budget for this.
I currently have a Gen-12 i7 w/ 64gb ram and a 3080 FE video card.
My current plan is to get a Meta Quest 3 ($600) + Quest Link Cable ($80) + vorpX
Will this more or less do what I want do you think? I appreciate whatever guidance folks can offer.

RJK_ParticipantLords of the Fallen 2023 is using the Unreal5 Engine. That may be the reason.UN5 may not work with VorpX yet.You may try a DX12 profile like from Cyberpunk2077, but definately without G3D.
BTW: I made a nice profile for The Original GOTY Game from GOG without Denuvo which provides G3D.

matteo39Participantwith cyb 2077 vorpx mod, if i use virtua desktop streamer, and steamvr, vorpx won’t start (i set vorpx to use steamvr)…it says “there is no oculus headset…”

beemzyParticipantIm not using the Steam VR version so dont know for sure how your setup should be. To get basic functioning VR for CP2077, my guess would be you use the Virtual Desktop program and a dedicated router. That should be enough for basic use.
For the rest of the stuff, the terms seem confusing at first but just google them and you will progressively absorb them and understand what they mean. It’s only really needed to fine tune the performance.

JACKPOTParticipantHi there,
unsure if this is the right thread to ask but..
So i own Vorpx but am trying to play new CP2077 new Phantom Liberty so downloaded the standalone Mod and it worked, it also looked amazing but after a couple of days it no longer hooks. Am unsure if its because of it being the GOG version of the game? did SteamVR update? I dont know?
I have the CP2077 PL version 2.01, downloaded latest compatible standalone Vorpx mod,no joy although randomly after trying for about 1/2 hour for several days it MAY randomly work!! haha
Also keyboard input seems to be not recognised??? so confusing, usually I can figure out what the bug is but im stumped here. Can still load local official profile from Vorpx and it works but it doesnt ‘look’ nearly as good as the standalone version did out of the box.
I have Windows 11 Asus ROG Flow lappy with RTX3070 eGPU and use HTC Cosmos headset and GOG vers of CP2077Oct 14, 2023 at 2:38am #218100In reply to: Quest 3 vs 2- Cyberpunk
reanorParticipantAm I doing something wrong? I installed Vorpx VR for Cyberpunk and selected middle option for Quest 3 in Configure CyberpunkVR. My Quest 3 is connected through link, Oculus app is running and shows headset and controller as connected. When I run CP2077 I get a message
No Oculus/Meta headset found. vorpX will not work correctly. If you have a Quest headset, make sure Quest Link is enabled on your Quest
If you don’t have an Oculus/Meta headset, please select the right headset type in the vorpX config app.I’ll try the OpenXR, but this appropriate version doesn’t seem to work?

beemzyParticipantAlso what headset are you using?
I am trying to get it to work on an oculus quest 2
-boot steam vr
-launch game in vrIf you could give any details of the process that would be awesome!
I use Q2 as well and connect via Airlink. Below are just my settings which may or may not work for your setup. Using Oculus Debug Tool I set Encode Res Width to 3664, Encode Dynamic Bitrate to Enabled, Dynamic Bitrate Max (& Encode Bitrate) to 480, and Offset to 256. My PC is connected directly to a wireless router which is not connected to internet and is used exclusively for VR. Q2 is set to 80 Mhz (I find it gives me better FPS in areas where CPU/GPU use is intense; you might find you are good with 90 MHz). I use Afterburner to OC the 4090. I have CP2077 GOG version so my process is to connect Q2 to the dedicated wifi router, activate Airlink, and double-click on game executable to launch
Further I go to Nexus Mods for further mods. I have updated to latest CET and use 4k textures by XilaMonstrr and the HD Reworked Project Ultra Quality by Halk Hogan. Aforementioned should get you going.
I also have HUDitor, Vanilla Plus Visual Enhancement, Simple FPS Monitor and No More Quest Markers On Screen (latter mod is a temp fix for a slight glitch VorpX currently has with the on screen markers). These shouldnt help/hinder performance and are more ‘quality-of-life’ choices

beemzyParticipantIs the Standalone VR mod working again with 2.0? Is so where can I download everything needed to play in VR? Only getting to the menu and triggers work but no buttons to get through menus to the game. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
Working for me on CP2077 2.01, using standalone VpX mod from its DL page

angelaylaParticipantThank you very much for your for your attention and information Dave ,Dellrifter and Luka. I realized that Witchfire uses DirectX 12, so I created a profile based on Cyberpunk 2077. I also followed Luka’s instructions and created a profile based on Unreal Engine 5. Both profiles have exactly the same result, Z3D, and because the game has a slider to increase the Fov, it feels comfortable. Later I will try other profiles following your advice. Thank you very much for your instructions!!!!!

OK, i can not believe it ! The official vorpx cyberpunk profile is full compatible to Phantom Liberty ? I thought it is compatible to 2.0 without installed Phantom Liberty DLC ?

RalfKeymasterYou asked that before already. The mod works with CP 2077 2.0, with or without Phantom Liberty, so the only building block is installing the mod. Alternatively you can use the vorpX beta, which auto downloads the updated extra components when you launch the game.
Please note that patch 2.01, which apparently gets released later today, will probably break the mod again. Stick to 2.0 by disabling auto updates in Steam/GOG until a new CET for 2.01 becomes available.
