As title, pressing del key doesn’t show the vorpx config menu in game.

Game is fsx (non-steam), os windows 7 64bit, latest vorpx version.

Other vorpx keys function ok such as middle mouse button for edgepeek.

In other games i.e. arma, delete key shows the vorpx config menu.

The game didn’t appear to be in 3d (judging by the look of the cockpit).

    Any ideas?

    Howdy,
Add another one! I got Dying Light to run with geometry 3D by changing the name to DXHRDC. The built in “beta” rift support was cool and all but worked only sort of good. Now you can adjust all the goodies vorpx lets you and now its in READABLE text thanks to vorpx. If you guys haven’t got this program yet and you have and play games on your DK2 this is a must have. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Any way yeah i messed with the vignette scale and image zoom and some other stuff but it works great. Tried UDK and it hooked but no geo and I used arma 2 but no luck. But DXHRDC works great. There mite be another that hooks even better but for now I’m going with DXHRDC. Oh and DO NOT HAVE THE DEFAULT RIFT SUPPORT AND TRY TO RUN WITH VORPX it will give double screen effect. Disable factory rift support if you have added it then hook with vorpx.

Yes I can use Edge Peak just fine. In Arma3 toggling the vorpX mouse with ALT-C does not enable the Arma3 mouse.

Well Arma3 should not be on the vorpX supported games page since impossible to navigate the ingame UI and that was the main reason I bought this software.

I can run Arma3 but with no mouse pointer support it’s impossible to navigate the ingame UI’s so it’s unusable. Tabbing does not support all in-game UI buttons especially when trying to join a multiplayer game when you need to join a slot. Please, please can we have fix for this? thank you!

Anyway to change the path of the user profile in vorpX? I am a VBS3 user, which uses the ArmA engine, and it doesn’t recognize the game.

    Hello,
I’m new to Rift DK2 and how to drive it

so far I did not encounter any Vorpx problem with these games:

    Mirror’s Edge
    Call Of Prypiat
    Dishonored
    Arma series
    Metro Redux
    Outlast
    Thief2014

while (settings to default and monitor to Dk2):

    – Mass Effect 3 won’t activate the DK2
    – Portal 2 crashes to desktop as soon as it reaches the main interface, – although activating the DK2
    – Skyrim won’t activate the Dk2 and crashes to desktop

I’ve tried to follow the troubleshooting section suggestions, with no results

    any hints?

    thanks

Saw today that vorpx got updated. In these 2-4 hours ive tried New vegas and it works perfect. Changed fov 120 and when i play i use default and when im going in the menu i just click mousescroll and i get the whole pic or i can look and the view goes to that section of the pic.

But the most epic…. Arma 3. To see inside chopper and look around when im flying and see everything in the right scale(lifelike) or when im shooting with a tank or sniping and everything just works. Extended and to start on monitor rift (while i have my screen as primary) and just start the game and press scroll så navigate menu and then scrollbutton when im inside the game..

Så fucking awesome guys. Ty for this update.

How good Z3D works is indeed game dependant. vorpX does a lot to make Z3D look as good as possible, but games with wide open spaces generally work best. In the distance sometimes better then Geometry 3D. ArmA III is such a case (Skyrim another one).

You can adjust the FOV in ArmA III and many other games automatically with the Game Settings Optimizer in the vorpX config app BTW. No manual ini-editing needed in this case.

I just had a go of Arma 3 and I am very impressed with the Z-buffer 3d.

To change the field of view use notepad to open the file

    Documents/Arma3/user.Arma3Profile

    and set these two values
    fovTop=1.5599999;
    fovLeft=2.77;

The Z-buffer 3d seems very effective in Arma 3. But in other games e.g. Payday 2 the Z-buffer method doesn’t seem to do much, even when 3d separation is set to the maximum. Is there any way the 3d could be strengthened or is it just a limitation caused by the particular game?

    Hi Jungs

    Thanks for the tips, Ralf.

I reinstalled, and before running it, I immediately reinstalled the SDK 1.4.3 over the one included in Vorpx. And then I didn’t fiddle with the config other than to set it to only show on DK2.

It seems to be running fine now, and I have a fun test session playing the first few levels of mirrors edge. I think part of the earlier problem was that I’d set the config to clone screens, and something in Skyrim didn’t like it.

It’s not a perfect solution, but as a workaround for using DK2 on older games, I’m pretty impressed with the way it works.

I have one more question, and one suggestion.

First, does the head tracking only emulate mouse movement, or can it be used like trackir in games that support it eg. Arma and rFactor?

Also, I’m guessing that anyone with a DK2 buying this software probably already has the DK2 runtimes installed, and those without a DK2 don’t need it. I think the Vorpx installation probably doesn’t need to download and install them as well, especially if it’s not the current version. At least let it do a check for installed/newer versions. Just a suggetsion.

Hello! I`m veseliy_kit – a member of largest Russian multi-gaming community THE RED. We are interested in series of broadcasts with Oculus Rift and VorpX. So, we can make some streams (Arma, battlefield 3, and others) with your logo on stream. What do you think about it? Regards, veseliy_kit
