dellrifter22ParticipantHere is the best way I’ve found to play CoD:WaW Singleplayer in G3D with a suitable FOV:
Copying the Black Ops 1 profile I am able to hook WaW, though I must turn off Geometry mode initially for the UI/menu to show. (the profile I uploaded now defaults to off on start, feel free to try it from the cloud)
For best results I set a 16:10 resolution and disable AA to be safe. Also make sure the console is enabled in game settings.
====================================
To increase FOV we must play in dev mode. To load a level in dev mode, enter console command:devmap <NAME> (ex.”devmap mak”) See below for a list of map names.
Once loaded in, enter commands:
cg_fov 130
cg_fovmin 125Finally, close the console, re-enable Geometry in vorpX with Alt+K, and enjoy the madness of the battlefield in G3D.
=====================================It can be tricky to type commands with a headset on, so wait to gear-on afterward, or try your luck with edgepeek :). Yeah it’s a process, but hey… it works!
List of SP levels:
1. mak
2. pel1
3. pel2
4. sniper

6. pel1a
7. pel1b
8. see2

dellrifter22ParticipantRainbow Six Siege now uses BattleEye anticheat, which is likely causing the injection failure.
That youtube video is from 2015, before BattleEye was ported to R6S in summer 2016.
Unfortunately, most any game that uses BattleEye or EasyAntiCheat will block vorpX injection, unless you are able to find a way around it.
The only such instance I have had luck with was Ghost Recon Wildlands, when I found some EAC bypass code online which allowed people to use cheats with the solo play. Once I was able to bypass the anticheat, the game hooked fine using profiles from both GTA5 and Assassins Creed Unity.
So until we can find a way around EAC and BattleEye, we’ll have to put the pass on these games I’m afraid. If you do manage to get R6 working please let us know, I too would enjoy that in VR.
The only multiplayer games I generally have luck with are steam VAC secure games like Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat, or EA games like Battlefield or Battlefront.
Jan 2, 2018 at 12:50pm #169615In reply to: Mouse and Keyboard not working v17.3
dellrifter22ParticipantI just tried the new Battlefront 2 and am having the same problem. Mouse only works in main/pause menus, and is unresponsive during gameplay. Pushing any button on the keyboard at any time does nothing but snap mouse cursor to the center of the screen. Can’t even use escape to open the menu to exit.
Again, I don’t have any gamepad plugged in, never did, and I had no problems with keyboard and mouse on previous vorpX. When I launch the games without vorpX keyboard/mouse work just fine, so I know vorpX is the cause.
The only frostbite game I’m not having this problem with is Battlefield 1.
I know the new update is supposed to add improved mouse support, perhaps this change is somehow in conflict. I don’t know if it would be possible to disable that change?
I would really appreciate some kind of work around. I was bummed when I tried to show my brother some Star Wars in vorpX over the holidays but was unable to play. Fortunately GTA5 was still working so he could see something.
I’m liking the improvements overall so far, just frustrated I can’t play my new game yet. Thanks again.

in forum Technical Support
dellrifter22ParticipantI’m having problems getting mouse and keyboard to work in some games since the new update (Battlefront 2015 and Battlefield Hardline). As soon as the mission or match loads, mouse points straight to the ground and becomes unresponsive. Probably a conflict with xbox controller drivers in vorpx. I don’t use any controllers though, just mouse/keyboard. I’ve never had this issue before v17.3.
Any tips how to fix/disable these controller overrides?

markbradley1982ParticipantCan you guys please let me know if battlefront is playable in geometry 3d? Will any frostbite games work in real 3d? Please just type something – I really need an online game that works in geometry 3d. I find that z3d or whatever, doesn’t do it for me in battlefield 1 for example. Is it better in star wars? Thanks guys!
I am thinking of getting this game. Do you set the FOV within Battlefront, or does it need to be edited somewhere in an ini file?

Only z3d for SW:BF1 & 2 I am afraid. It look decent if you setup well though.
Jul 13, 2017 at 4:18pm #165714In reply to: Rank your 5 best Vorpx games.
dellrifter22ParticipantI too have enjoyed Skyrim, Fallout4, BioShock Infinate, and Metro LL, but recently I’ve been playing a lot of:
– Battlefield 1 onilne
– Star Wars Battlefront 2015 online
– theHunter Call of the Wild (Assassins Creed Unity profile)All 3 have in game FOV adjustment and good Z3D. And I’ve been playing online without a problem, no ban or disconnect.
I’ve noticed I end up choosing Z3D over G3D almost everytime, due to its agreeable shadows and faster performance – which means I can crank up the resolution and max the eyecandy.
p.s. As of a few weeks ago an update to Dying Light has unlocked native VR support again via quick file edit. It’s not perfect, but fun to check out.

NipOcParticipantI would just overclock the 4670k.
The upgrade gives you 5-10% in modern games, like battlefield 4 (if you have a powerful gpu) and nothing in older ones, like skyrim.Dec 8, 2016 at 3:25pm #123535In reply to: Beginners guide???
Redcap036ParticipantBasic operation is pretty straight forward. Normally you just have to start vorpX and then the game. vorpX should automatically hook into known games then. For both games you tried, you will need a profile first since vorpX doesn’t have a default profile for either of these currently.
For Battlefield 1 you can import a custom profile in the vorpX config app (Cloud Profiles page).
For Skyrim SE please use this profile.
Just in case: if you didn’t do so already please also read the Essential Hints Guide in the vorpX help, which contains a few very important infos for beginners in regard to configuring games for vorpX.
Hi, thanks for the reply, most of this knowledge i already had gathered, the problem i found most frustrating was that i had to search and gather this information from other player threads, chats and YouTube, where had it been right up front pinned to the top of the forum, i could have easily found it and been playing for the last day or two instead of spending my time searching for it, also it’s other stuff like do i need SteamVR open as well, I literally just found out that i need the Origin overlay turned off if i want to play BF1, most of your Essential hints Guide only pertains to when your in the game, i couldn’t even get that far, I think you really need to add a FAQ for getting a game started, written up and posted, anyway i think i got how to do this now and i’m going to try again.
cheers for listening.

ArturoParticipantI’ve experienced a couple of games on Pimax 4K powered by VorpX. I’ve bought VorpX a couple of weeks ago but I’m already experienced in VR and 3D (anaglyph 3D, cross-eyed, parallel eyed, Tridef 3D, iZ3D, Nvidia 3D TV Play, Nvidia 3D Vision, helixmod, Vireio Perception). Configuring VorpX was pretty easy. No help needed.
Games played on Pimax 4K + VorpX + modifications like FOV, DSR, no GUI, latency optimizations:
– Alien Isolation
– Battlefield 3
– Bioshock Infinite
– GTA 5
– Skyrim Original
– Skyrim Special Edition (cloned Fallout 4 profile)Depending on the game-/vorpX compatibility geometry 3D or z-adaptive.
Disadvantge:
– lil bit of ghosting while moving the head (sometimes not visible, depends on the scene)
– 60hz instead of 90hz (not recommended for fast motion games)
– IPD adjustment is softwarewise instead of hardwarewise
– software crashes sometimes while initial IPD adjustment (reboot needed)Advantage:
– Almost no screen door effect. In most cases absolutely no screen door effect. That’s WOW!!!
(There is a SDE comparision on YouTube between Gear VR 2.5K and Pimax 4K)
– The image is absolutely fantastic (2.5K 1440p and 4K 2160p in-game resolution powered by Nvidia DSR supersampling – HDMI 1.4b 60hz). Provided you found the right IPD settings for your eyes and the device is not faulty. Wrong IPD settings = looks like cross eyed / blurry.
– Even 2K 1080p looks great but I prefer at least 2.5K due to higher aliasing. Alien Isolation does not need high FPS so I played in 4K in-game resolution for superb graphics.
– The image looks not as good on my FullHD 27 inch monitor but almost!
– I’m able to read text easily.Sep 10, 2016 at 8:31pm #111084
pamgpamgParticipantHi ralf,
Just want to let you know i finally got it working with outlast. I don’t know how, but i read up some guide: disable steam overlay and desktop home threate and surprisingly it works. Values around 120 to 150 is comfortable for me. 160 or more is unbearable and screen starts to flip 180 deg upwards. Now the only problem is the game menu zoomed-in, is it intentional?
Gameplay inside outlast seems fine for me. Maybe full vr works for me afterall, just have to do some tweaking or stuff.
Game setting optimizer works by the way. But not sure for other games such as battlefield 4. This is the only game i got it first working with vorpX.
I quite confused with the extended mode and direct mode you talking about. Not sure what mode i am. But pretty sure i am in extended mode. Just got htc vive headset sorry newbie here :).

pamgpamgParticipantHi everyone,
I recently brought vorpX. I ran into 2 issues when i first run the game.
1) The game is zoomed in extremely close to the screen. Yes, i fully aware of the shift + mousewheel to zoom out the game. But however naturally, i want a full view of the screen without doing that. Also, i have import vorpX cloud settings and Game Setting optimizer and ensure i have set them to 120 FOV. That still doesn’t change anything in the game. Please help.
2) When i shift plus mousewheel down/up i notice the screen are slightly raise above me about 15deg or so. This strain my neck as i have to raise my neck up everytime to see above me.
Please help, i spent around the past 4 hours or so.
Thanks
