I’m pretty new to VorpX. I have played RDR2 and Titanfall2 without any problems but when I tried BF4, first thing I noticed is the menu is mostly black with white writing but does not look how it usually looks. When the actual game loads it’s a glitching mess. The map and the subtitles are normal but the game is a disaster and cant be played. I’ve seen people play this game online so I know it’s possible. Anyone else have and solve this problem?

does this auto weapon hide feature actually work for anyone.
have tried it now with Titanfall 2 and Black Mesa and it does nothing, and the games are unplayable in vorpx as they are due to the giant hands and weapons.

It depends how familiar you are with technology.
Windows defender is primarily a classic black list scanner. If you are a target of phishing attack it won’t help you. If you get infected by a novel ransomware it won’t help you. If there’s some 0-day vulnerability it might not help you in time. If there’s a complex worm which can mutate very effectively chances are it won’t detect it.
More complete AV solutions like Bitdefender employ multiple techniques to cover most of these. They have browser add-ons and block most phishing domains, they have a long experience in responding to 0-day exploits, they employ detection mechanisms for ransomware encryption and other behavior based scanning to prevent issues from worms before they are actually found or if they’re hard to fingerprint.

Personally I’m aware of all of these and like to think I can’t fall for them. I mainly bought it for my parents and since it’s a multi-device licence I might as well use it.

    Hello,

I’m having issues when i try to run Fallout76 or TES online with vorpx.

Fallout 76, running via the besthesda launcher, stops booting when vorpx is trying to connect with the game.
TES online, i get the view of the logo before the main menu through my headset like normal, but when the menu has loaded i’m having a black screen but i can hear the music and see the mouse cursor.

Anybody here who can tell me what i can do to make it work?
    Thanks!

I saw Mass Effect: Andromeda in the “fixed” column and decided to give it a go before playing the remastered trilogy. However, I have similar problems with the game in G3D like I have in Jedi Fallen Order; flickering shaders, specifically around the characters.

Jedi Fallen Order G3D Black Screen

The issue around the main character can actually be resolved by changing Vocal Offset to -0.13, but then other graphic errors occur.
I guess the profile should not be broken, since it was updated recently. Am I the only one having problems? Are there any in-game options I overlooked or specific headset / graphic card issues (driver is fairly up-to-date) that might cause this? Simply no luck with EA games? ;)

Just a heads-up that the feature has to be enabled on a game-to-game basis since it rquires some game specific settings. It doesn’t work automagically. Currently it’s enabled for the following games: Half-Life 2 (+episodes), Portal 2, Black Mesa Source, Titanfall 2, Fallout 4, Crysis, Skyrim Special Edition, Aliens: Colonial Marines.

    Greetings,

Fore reference, I have an RTX 3080 and I7-10700k.

While using my Quest 2 with vorpx I have turned off Spacewarp in oculus debug tool and have disabled Async reprojection in vorpx and yet I still seem to be getting a timewarp effect in full vr mode. This is happening in Metro Exodus and The Outer Worlds, and to a slightly lesser extent in Titanfall 2.

The black sides and top are sliding into position when I turn my head quickly. I have a rock solid 90 FPS (confirmed by Vorpx FPS and Oculus Debug performance window). For reference, the game settings I am using for my vorpx session garner 250+FPS when not using Vorpx so I am extremely confident I am getting over 90 FPS at all times.

This is happening both using Airlink and Oculus Link via cable.

Is there a setting in Vorpx I am missing to truly disable timewarp? Vorpx says I am getting full 90 FPS so I am very confused at this point.

    Thanks,
    Erised

Below is the list list of games that this feature will be enabled for in vorpX 21.2.0 (release tomorrow).

Tweakable options include the feature mode (off/auto hide/size and position only/always hidden), the auto hide timeout, the position of the weapon in 3d space, and weapon FOV and 3D-Strength for tweaking its size. Shouldn’t really be necessary to tweak anything though. Each profile has carefully chosen individual defaults that work just fine.

    Games for the first release:

    – Half-Life 2 (+episodes)
    – Portal 2
    – Black Mesa Source
    – Titanfall 2
    – Fallout 4
    – Crysis
    – Skyrim Special Edition
    – Aliens: Colonial Marines

More games will follow shortly, I’m fairly confident that adding the feature will be possible for about 4 out of 5 potential candidates, i.e. first person G3D games.

Note that in this first release there is no UI for changing gamepad/key assignments, will also follow shortly. For the time being make sure to use a game’s default bindings, otherwise vorpX might not be able to reliably detect when the weapon is supposed to be shown/hidden under all circumstances.

Last night i decided to try a new game: Fallout 4 with VorpX.
Played almost one hour but there is another issue with this game that makes it tough to continue:

In dialogues or 3rd person view some textures blink (appear/disappear) or the image from another angle flashes at random intervals. Even in the mirror scene when you choose the character appearance. I restarted the game twice and even got some horizontal black bars flashing.

Here are some more bugs (or are some of them features?):

    1. Regardless of which anti-aliasing mode you choose, Vorpx rewrites the config to set it to “2.” The only way out here is to run the game without Vorpx, do the setup, run the game with Vorpx, disable rewriting the config, then change the anti-aliasing mode in the text editor (because if you do it in-game, FC4 will set the refresh rate to 60 and Vorpx will black-screen).

    2. With G3D, the bloom layer has an incorrect depth, and the picture is literally falling apart. I’ve got the same problem in Need For Speed, but obviously not in Quake4 and other older games which don’t make use of post-processing.

    3. G3D FPS is horrendous. I get 120 FPS on ultra-high without Vorpx; 28 FPS with Vorpx (identical config). I can understand Vorpx halving the FPS, I can understand a small injection penalty (let’s say -10 FPS?), which would bring me down to 50. But 28? It’s literally unplayable on my rig.

    Hello,

Jedi Fallen Order is not working right in G3D for me.

Sometimes everything works, but most of the time, one of the two screens remains black. I tried it with HTC Vive Pro and Pimax 5k+ and changed the game settings around a bit, but nothing worked so far.

Anyone else has/had issues? Is there a known fix?

Hi, Steam client start up with the game, i use to open it always with steam vr before to run the game.
The attaching message does not appear, it did until i reinstalled Vorpx because nothing was displayed in the VR display anyway, it frozen in a black screen with a rectangle and the name of the game, now the attach message never shows.
I tried to use the administrator checkbox nothing change.
I have tried Mortal Kombat 11, Sekiro, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2 Remake , Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.
